WUT GAY ADVENTURES IS THIS??
omg so not ONLY do I now have digital cable in my bedroom but I've also finally set up my proper drawing table. I've only been out of my old apartment for what... nine months? XDD lololol. Lost the oomph to finish setting that baby up (need to go find the proper giant wrench needed to make the thing go to the proper angle from downstairs in the studio)
hahaha I wish I had some fancy new drawing table, but this one's great XD It was my brother's and then it became mine and I think it might have been my dad's before it was his- the surface is beat to s**t with knife marks and paint so I'll either need to invest a million dollars in a awesome big cutting board to tape to the surface or figure something else out. Anyone have recommendations? I feel like just putting a piece of cardboard or something on it wouldn't do the job- it'd get marked up when I'd draw or ink but a cutting board would absorb the impacts :O Just hope they aren't TOO much @_@

You can actually buy rolls of drafting table tops, the plastic stuff. Just buy some of that, sand down the paint and smooth it out, then roll it on.

Anywho, for those of you interested in flash and into webdesigning of the sort, my friend showed me this awesome website. Now, I know most of the web and flash templates cost money but at such reasonable prices!! They also have a ton load of helpful tutorials for your designing needs.
I'll surely be using this website in the future when I revamp my own website (this will be when I get my new computer for my b-day w00t)http://www.entheosweb.com/ and on a side note: I've been so busy thinking about other stuff again I almost forget that my b-day is next week. It was also another pleasant reminder when my husband said he was going to throw a party for me. Amazingly enough I wasn't too thrilled on celebrating my birthday this year. I just want my new computer so I can start working on my portfolio pieces since I'm graduating in 2 quarters (give or take 6 months).
Man how time flies when your busy with school... emo
But! I'll be taking advanced Illustration next quarter so I'll be submitting a lot of sketches here before they turn into paintings. I'm sure Hansma will get a kick outta that, her being an illustrator and all. xP

Turns out there WAS salvaging my cutting mat that I thought I had ruined in my freshman year XDD HORRAY Means I can probably get my table up and running today! smile
If I feel like it's too small a surface to work with, I'll look into that drafting table top :O But I don't think there's any smoothing this table, believe me XD I'd have to remove about a quarter to half an inch of material from the surface to do that XD Like I said, it's a hand-me-down table.

Stilll ~~ having a drawing table must be nice. I only have normal tables (which are cherry wood and too expensive to even do art on)
So floor it is when my inherited art boards and eisles. I hope when I get my new computer I'll get a new computer desk. lol I should take a picture of it one day and post it it's so funny. Like, it's being held together by duct tape and is very small. I'm all scrunched in a corner lol. I sit on an old a** swivel chair and so I gotta hunch my back over and plaster my face to my flat monitor to see anything.
And thank you! I'll be turning 23 on Thursday. I was hoping that my b-day would fall on a Friday this year since I've got a hard on for the numbers 3 and 13 (obviously lucky numbers for me) and I turned 13 on a Friday so that was awesome. But oh well, I can't sway the universe with my mind as much as I wish I could lol
