Plushy

Plushy answered Kirinda "It is still proper to call you dragon rider, for you are bonded, and linked to each other. Saiirin will grow in time, and you will be her rider." Plushy wraps his tail around Kirinda and Saiirin, like a ring, only a little unhappy they were not sitting on it, his tail been softer than the ground.

Plushy told his story, "The ring of power is next to the wall of names, in the doom volcanoes. All dragons where named by their parents in the ring of power on their seventh birthday. Spencer Fred was Plushy's daddy, he brought plushy to the ring of power on plushy's seventh birthday, and he nemed Plushy Plushy, and the power from the ring struck the wall, and seven letters where set into it, and all names set in the wall are unchangeable, and right below Spencer's name, is the name of his child."

"And Plushy has been Plushy ever sence." Plushy looked at Saiirin, "Do you have any more questions you like to aks Plushy?"

BlissfulCalamity

((And as a reminder of what Rodger looks like, just in case... Also, I hope you do not mind that I just kind of assumed that Jarod and Loki follow Rodger. If not, I will change it as necessary!))

Rodger beamed at Jarod as the young boy spoke. "I wouldn't have offered if it wasn't okay!"

His attention shifted to Loki as she began to speak, her words making him chuckle.

"I get the feeling I don't want to know what went down here today." He rolled his eyes. "Working here, you see it all. Anyway," he looked back to Jarod, "I just got a bag full of bananas. We have a... guest with an unusual appetite for bananas, but believe me, he'd be glad I gave one to you." He offered the boy a smile, showing off his perfectly white teeth. "Come on, they're on the front desk." He gestured with his head for the two to follow him before turning around and trotting back the way he had come on silent feet.

He glanced behind him once to see if they were following, leading them on expert feet through the maze of bookshelves. He emerged into the large, domed lobby, the sound of his footsteps echoing on the dark wood floor. Stepping up to the cluttered oak desk opposite the entrance, he reached into the brown paper bag placed precariously on a stack of books. With the rip of one banana being pulled from another, Rodger removed his hand with one of the many yellow fruits in his grip, its ends coated in a light green.

"Here you are, my boy!" he said with a smile, handing the banana to Jarod before looking to Loki. "So," he began slowly, "what brought you two to our humble little town?" He leaned on the desk, glancing behind him as a pile of books shifted at his added weight.

Karinda laughed at Plushy's statement of Saiirin becoming larger. "Nay," she said, "she is fully grown, now."

Saiirin snorted. The silver dragon spat and growled as Plushy wrapped his large tail around her and Karinda.

"Hush," Karinda commanded, the dragon only growling in response as Plushy told his story.

"Do you have any more questions you like to ask Plushy?" the red dragon finished.

"Aye, one," Karinda answered, her eyes narrowing. "Though I saw naught but a small portion of what commenced, that woman," she spat, "appeared to know thee." She raised her unnaturally bright blue eyes to the dragon's. "How hath such a thing come to pass?"

Plushy

Plushy decided to correct Karinda's old grammer, she had to learn the new talk humans used. "You mean, Though I saw nothing but a small portion of what happened, that woman, appeared to know you. How is that possible?"

Plushy answered Karinda's question through Saiirin, he did this deliberately. "Plushy knows not the answer to that question, you have to ask The LORD GOD almighty, knower of all things, if you want the answer to that question. Are there any other questions you would like to ask Plushy?"
PostPosted: Mon Mar 11, 2013 11:21 am

((Oh, technically I think "Though I saw only a small portion of what happened" is a bit more proper. Oh, also, technically Karinda should be calling your character by "you," so my bad. Back in the medieval/renaissance era, "you" was a respect thing. Like the queen/king of the land only had to address her/his horse as "you" where it was never right use "thy," "thou," etc. when addressing a queen/king. "You," "your," etc is used when speaking to someone equal to or above the speaker. Just a fun fact.))

"I mean what I said, dear dragon," Karinda began, glaring at Plushy, "nothing more and nothing less."

Saiirin snarled, her claws scratching against Karinda's pant leg as Plushy spoke to her, her words traveling to Karinda's mind.

How dare thou speak to me directly! the silver dragon snarled, her teeth clicking together threateningly.

"Saiirin," Karinda scolded the silver dragon, "show your kin respect." She raised her gaze to Plushy. "I have nothing else to ask you, as my thoughts stand as of now."

Plushy

"That is what you said, Plushy said exactly what you said, only in now grammer. You may have noticed the grammer has changed some, Plushy is old enough to know what you mean, Plushy didn't add or subtract anything from it, he just use the new grammer, you should be learning to speak new grammer." Plushy answered Karinda through Saiirin's bond.

"Problems with you'r bond? Your rider should be helping you to understand human speach, do you not know what Plushy is saying to you?" Plushy said to Saiirin in human talk. "You have been letting you'r dragon know what Plushy has been saying to her with human words, no?" Plushy asked Karinda through Saiirin, Plushy did this deliberately.

((plushy asked you question this time... this is to help karinda get saiirin use to plushy some, though the slow pace with this is good.))
PostPosted: Mon Mar 11, 2013 7:58 pm

Karinda's eyebrows furrowed and Saiirin growled as Plushy continued to speak through her, digging her claws into Karinda's leg until Karinda hissed and forced the dragon's claws off her.

My apologies, Saiirin said to Karinda, her silver eyes glancing to the girl as she pushed Saiirin from her lap and rose to her knees. Directing her thoughts to Plushy, Saiirin continued, How dare you desecrate the--

"I appreciate your attempt at correcting me," Karinda began slowly, interrupting Saiirin, "but I trust that Father Time will see my choice of language change as he sees fit." She offered him a smile and placed a gentle hand on Saiirin's arched back.

The dragon turned her head and snapped at the girl, but she kept her hand in place as Saiirin returned her snarling maul to Plushy.

I know perfectly well what thou art saying! Saiirin's loud, angered words echoed in Karinda's mind, making her head twitch. I need not her help to understand thy words, thou bootless beetle-headed minnow!

"Saiirin!" Karinda glared at the silver dragon, but Saiirin payed her no attention, the dragons muscles tense and twitching with the desire to pounce.

Our bond is among the strongest in existence. 'Tis no place of yours to question it!

"In that," Karinda began sternly, raising her eyes to Plushy's, "I must agree, dragon. Your concern is much appreciated, yet it is both needless and uncalled for."

Plushy

Plushy answered Saiirin with words, "Desecrate? HA! Look who's talking, mis 'i attack my rider 3 times a day, and cause her bodly harm' you should be more carefull, and you obviously arn't using your bond to do that, if you had, the clawings never would have happened."

Plushy said to karinda through Saiirin "You'r dragon appears to need some water, her grumpyness is one of the side effects of the mushroom she ate, you may have noticed. Stuffing her belly full of water will help calm her." Plushy unwraped his tail and pointed it at a water fountain. That is a water fountain over there, you should go fill her up now, before she tares you to pieces. Plushy said to the both of them.

((the other side effects where the glowing, weird dreams, and maybe random tail growth. that was many post ago when plushy told saiirin about the mushroom effects, this is just a reminder smile ))
PostPosted: Wed Mar 13, 2013 8:05 am

((Oh, fantastic! Thank you for the reminder! biggrin ))

Saiirin only snarled at Plushy's spoken words, a line of spit falling from her mouth as the red dragon continued to speak through his smaller cousin.

I am no wineskin to be filled on a whim! the small dragon snarled. When I thirst, I shall drink of my own accord!

"Saiirin," Karinda said slowly, looking around at the world that was so foreign to her before her gaze fell to the metal rectangle bolted to the side of the brick school, "prithee, come. If not to drink, then to grant me your companionship."

The dragon snapped her mouth shut and looked to Karinda, rage resting in the depths of Saiirin's silver eyes. With a nod, she trotted to Karinda's side as the girl turned and walked across the lawn.

Saiirin, Karinda began, glancing to a nearby sandbox as they passed it, I believe a private conversation is in order. You are capable of concealing our words from outside forces. Why you hath refrained from doing so thus far stands a mystery to me.

Some words are meant to be shared. Saiirin stopped and closed her eyes, Karinda stopping beside her as the dragon created a shield around her and Karinda's minds as only a bonded dragon can. It is done.

Karinda nodded and continued toward the water fountain. Though Plushy--

Do not call him by name! Saiirin interrupted with a snap of her teeth.

Karinda sighed. Though the dragon yonder so claimed your mood to be cause of the mushroom you ate, we have both been quick to anger since our arrival to this... she paused, stopping in front of the silver metal stand. This new time. We have not been quite ourselves.

Saiirin's gaze met Karinda's. And you think that sorcerer's spell has something to do with it.

Karinda nodded. But there is only one true way to discover that. We must return to the library and conduct research of our own. Surely, Vanessa has books on such things within her marvelous collection. If only our friend Gutenberg could have seen all those!

Aye. Saiirin's mouth pulled back in a smile at the thought. Though the question now stands thus; which way is the library? Saiirin watched as Karinda ran her hand along the rim of the fountain and knocked on the metal, the metallic sound ringing through the unit.

"How doth this work?" Karinda muttered, placing her head near the draining holes so she could look at the underside of the spout.

"I can show you miss" a you girl said from The left of Karinda, he was dresssed in a cute but overly ruffled dress and an innocent smile on face. She looked the right age to come to this school but aomething about her told you she wasn't.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 13, 2013 3:15 pm

Karinda jumped as a young girl spoke to her, Saiirin turning and snarling at the child.

Karinda looked the girl over, her eyes narrowing as her gaze fell to the girl's eyes. Though her body appeared to be that of a young girl, the age and knowledge shimmering in her
((what color are her eyes?)) eyes suggested she had more years beneath her than her slight form clad in a fru-fru dress suggested.

"'Twould be much appreciated, young lass," she said slowly, her thick Old English accent leaking suspicion. She took a step back and gestured to the water fountain with her hand. "Art thou not supposed to be inside with the others of thy age?" Her eyes never left the girl.

(Oops, sorry thought I had already said that, they're completely black with a green pupil.)

"Not today, my teacher died in the attack and they cant get a replacement" she said it surprisingly calmly, though it could just be ignorance. As she bends over at the fountain, pushing the small button on top to let the water out, you notice her dress is authentic, possible from as far back as the Tudors. "Just like that, see, but don't push too hard because you get wet shoes, and no one wants wet shoes" she smiles and giggles at you, her eyes never quite meeting your own.

Plushy

Plushy watched the little girl explain how the fountain works, the lies she told for been out of class was obvious, she didn't attend this school, Plushy would have knowen where she lived if she went to this school, Plushy is also the school bus.

Plushy thinked to Karinda She lies, she dose not go to this school, no need to worry about any teachers. Don't tell her i worned you, she could be dangerous. Plushy will give you ride on his back when you done with the fountain, Vanessa said to bring you back to the library when we was done with story time.

((Yeah, that is freaking awesome! xd Oh, and if you would replace "you" with names in the future unless in dialogue, I would greatly appreciate it! I know who you are talking to, but I think that has the potential of getting confusing if other characters get involved. As a final note, I had to research the Tutors (thanks! biggrin ). Just to make sure, that is basically from the late 1400s to early 1600s, correct?))

Karinda blinked, her narrow eyes widening at the girl's response.

There is something wrong with this child, Saiirin hissed to Karinda, her back hunching as the girl pressed the button, revealing the style of her dress; a style Karinda knew well.

Aye, Karinda agreed, glancing to where her sword still sat with a third of its blade in the ground before looking back to the girl.

"Grammercy for sharing such knowledge," she said, hesitantly pressing the fountain's button and watching the water drain through the holes before returning her attention to the girl. "Who art thou?" she inquired, her voice forcefully cheery as Plushy's words bounced off the shield Saiirin kept around their minds, his words echoing back to him like a whisper spoken from the tongue of a dying warrior.

(( this is al thanks to Scath na hOiche she helped me so much with info about how to roleplay on gaia and this is her work biggrin ))

With a groan, Akuma leaned against the side of the school, his back next to the corner.

"I hate long days," he muttered, the image of the shadowy Corrupt that had chased him since the early hours flashing across his mind.

Unwilling to believe they had given up at the boundaries of the city, he glanced around the empty side schoolyard before him, his blue eyes scanning the parking lot a few yards away speckled with cars and the grass separating him from it, searching for anything that posed as a threat to him. Sure nothing would attack with his attention turned away, he slowly poked his head around the corner, his hands tightly gripping his swords and muscles at the ready.

On the other side of the long brick wall of the school, a woman stood by a water fountain, a young girl next to her. A glare of silver glinted in the sun at the woman's feet. As Akuma scanned the rest of the playground area with its few slides, basketball court, and jungle-gym, he blinked in disbelief. Not far off stood a large red dragon.

His swords threatened to fall from his loosened grasp as excitement pulled at his insides.

A smile spread across his lips. "No way," he breathed, his feet taking a few slow steps forward of their own accord before he cautiously approached the dragon.

"Excuse me!" he shouted to gain the mighty beast's attention, his grip again tightening around his swords' hilt in case the beast attacked.
