Those were supreme works. 8D But for Shizuki's character description, I edited quite a bit. It can now all be found on the front page under NPCs and Character Descriptions.

Wassappenin' Yui-roks here, otherwise known as Yui. I'm fourteen, from the rainy,snowy, and sometimes sunny UK. I love anime and manga, especially Inuyasha, Ranma 1 2, Fullmetal Alchemist and Angel Beats. I love watching galactik football and W.I.T.C.H, wizards of waverley place, star wars the clone wars. I love to draw and write, and read. I'm saving up for a nintendo 3ds aqua blue version. I love playing legend of zelda (that's where my home is!), urbz sims in the city, animal crossing, harvest moon, mario, sonic, nintendogs, SSX3. I love watching disney movies such as: Hercules, Tangled, the Princess and the Frog, Tarzan. I like playing Assassins Creed II and brotherhood. I love One Direction and Harry Potter. Basically, long story short, I love technology! My family know me by my smile! I love Paramore and LMFAO (Party rock anthem especially), Florence and the Machine, Selena and the scene, Demi Lovato. Because of my tastes in tv programmes, such as Galactik Football and Star Wars the Clone Wars, i could be considered quite childish wink Arigatou. xd heart heart heart

Guys! Did you even READ my post properly?! Your character descriptions are too short! And there's too little details! Your character descriptions are supposed to be LONGER than your personal description. It's supposed to a few paragraphs long! Those information are provided by the links they gave you! I didn't give you the links for no reason! They're reference! And the reason I gave you guys a whole week to do all these is because I wanted you guys to finish them thoroughly.


This is what is expected for your character description:

Enyo is Ares’ little sister, daughter to Zeus and Hera. Nobody outside of Olympus really knows of her, but she’s fine with letting Ares have the spotlight. She doesn’t like people anyway. With that in mind, know not to approach Enyo unless you are willing to take a chance. Sometimes she may just ignore you, but other times, such as when she’s in a bad mood (or if you’re just exceptionally annoying) she’ll probably try to kill you. Of course, Ares usually stops her. Now, if you are lucky she might talk to you, but only if she feels you aren’t a blundering idiot like most mortals.

Ares and Enyo are close siblings, and she accompanies him into war. Her job is to destroy things and be as violent as possible. It’s a good thing Ares is in charge, too, because Enyo is fairly impulsive and bloodthirsty. She tends to think things through even less than her brother does.

Just by looking at her, you can tell that Enyo is not what one would call a “girly-girl” (see Persephone). In fact, she is quite the opposite. Bright pink, perky attitudes and the like only irritate her, especially bubble-headed, moronic girls. If one of those people were to get near her…well they just don't. She feels she would be doing the world a favor by getting rid of them. No, pink and fluffy is not Enyo’s style. She likes the dark and quiet better. That said, you might be wondering how on earth Ares could have convinced her to come to the ball, but even Enyo still isn't sure of that.

On the outside people only see the cold, dark, and scary Enyo. But this isn’t all that’s there (okay, it’s most of it, but not all of it). She actually cares deeply about her brother, war, and fighting. Without these, she would probably go insane and berserk.


The point is, you need to understand your character fully, and acknowledge its strengths and weaknesses, it's funny quirks and habits. What you guys did was elaborate on their backstory only. We need more than that! We need to see what is special of that character in front of us. That is what makes an NPC an NPC!

So Yui, Ninja, please rewrite your character descriptions. PLEASE use the examples and links for reference because those examples are REALLY good, and keep asking yourself what makes your character YOUR character, how and why are they special, and write them down. NPCs need to stand out of the crowd. Remember the character profiles we gave you guys awhile ago? That is also a good source of reference to know what to write of your character. I'll try giving you guys a week again. Please don't disappoint me again. =.= I can see that was actually quite last minute work.

And technically, this is how short personal descriptions are last year, but I just let the original length be cause it's nice that everyone's willing to share their own interests and stories to others, unless they really ARE too long and exaggerated. =)

Salutations! I am SorceressJacklyn but you may call me Jackie. I am doing my first year of ball work and hope that the help I have done makes this one you won't soon forget! I enjoy fantasy-themes, especially magic and gothic. Most of my normal avatars are a mix of these. But my little break from normal comes in I love wintry items! I roleplay my heart out and mostly log in to do that or talk to my friends.


Also, remember this, guys. The Ball is not about you. I know you guys enjoy talking about the things you enjoy and about yourselves, but this is not going to do the Ball, and the ball-goers, any good. Our focus is the guests and how we can entertain them and get them to talk about THEMSELVES instead. In fact, without the guests there will be no Ball! The motto for the Gaia User Annual Ball is that it is made BY users, FOR users. So instead of thinking about ourselves, we need to think about the details of the Ball (like the plot, contests, layout, fundraising etc.), think creatively on how to make things easier and better for us AND the ball-goers, and find fun and happiness in doing this because for once we are not doing things for ourselves but for other people, and their joy becomes our joy because after all the struggles we had to go through to make the Ball work, we receive huge pay-offs from what we do! Not only that, one of the best fun of it all because we work as a TEAM. No longer is it me, but us. We do things together, we laugh together, we struggle together and we help each other. In fact, from the previous years I have been in the Ball, and from the things I have asked about the Ball from 'seniors' like Blissy, normally, the host need not remind and pull everyone together to do tasks, it is the room members who initiated what to do and have serious discussions together on how to do it. The hosts are simply there to monitor what is happening and give more input and advice on what to do. The room won't work until everyone starts thinking about the Ball and work together!! You need to learn to initiate things, instead of me telling you guys what to do all the time and set deadlines! You have all the resources you need already! You have the front page (with LOTS of stuff), you have the links, you already have everything! I can't keep pulling your hands and force on if you guys don't even want to!! How are you going to become hosts if this keeps on? How is this room is going to work if you don't even have to motivation to keep it going? Remember: I won't be here forever! What are you going to do then? What if I return to my country and my internet doesn't work for a whole month again, like in January? You guys need to stand on your own. Dusky can't always keep everything in check either! We're both humans! PLEASE understand what I'm trying to say because things are NOT going to work if this keeps up!!

Alrighty guys, so we have most of our descriptions done but we need to work on the room intro. These are due next week so try to get them done, alright? Other than that, everyone should be working on their contests.
Cakes, we've decided you don't have to worry about the layout and we're just going to have someone from the guild do it who posted a thread earlier. This was you can just worry about making your contest the best you can and the room intro for now.

Hello, i am Sublette, a member of the elite group of people who live in England. I am in 12th grade, a senior, and i am graduating high school in about, seven weeks, yay. I do dabble in sports, a bit of martial arts, and some kickboxing. I really can't explain my life, maybe.. 20% of my time online, 40% in school, and 40% training? Well, anyways, I hope this years ball will top the last one by a ton of participants, and hope everyone has a great time, and we all have a great ball!

James is a very, simple person.

A man who drinks tea and reads a book, if, he gets any spare time. He, is the "peace maker" between Juan and Luke, almost being as such a character as a "big brother". But, of course it doesn't mean he hates doing it, as such, simply enjoys the scrabble, having good times. Such for instance, Luke, with the persuasion of Jame's very new, tattoo, or simply the fact that Juan has a brand new vase of flowers on Jame's bar counter every morning, or even how Reine is over obsessed with Luke, and the ghost and her long lost lover, Vincent.

Even so, James, Luke, and Juan are very close friends, as James has been raised from a little boy to the man he is, as so, James is very grateful for all that Luke and Juan do for people like him, but is very bitter for how people take advantage of how nice Juan is towards people, or how people are mad at Luke because of independence. So, as much as he doesn't realize it, James IS like the big brother between the two.

And one thing about James, he is not, the person to get mad. As a result, people tend to stay on Jame's very, very, friendly side. Meaning, he treats people with the same all do respect they treat towards him.

The character description looks great, Sub! =D Thanks for editing the map, but you may want to put the restricted in a brighter color like red so it's easier to tell it's not black. Even though we all know people will be going into the 'restricted' zones anyway XD

I'll be working on my character description/room intro this week. We have state testing, meaning we have about 3 hours to complete a 45 minute test. 60, if I go over my answers. BAH!

I have deleted my other post, and it was short because I only had time to type up the first paragraph because I had to start getting ready for a journey up to London, which is at least 3 hours from where I live. I couldn’t post it earlier on in the week because I’ve been at after school things like RE revision for a GCSE test and Rounders and stuff.

Reine's profile
She was the second oldest child of 5 and her parents wanted her to become a business woman but she hated the thought of it. The eldest son had become all that her parents wanted him to be, so when he moved away to continue work, the burden of upholding her parents dreams was forced onto her. Reine had dreams to travel the world and experience a life different to hers but her dream was destroyed when her parents forced her to go to a boarding school which specialised in Business. She stayed there for a year to lull her parents into a false security that she was settling down and agreeing to become a business woman or lawyer. She ran away from the school the day before she was supposed to go back home and vowed never to return to the house or the school. Reine began travelling from town to town, taking up jobs to pay for food and to pay rent for the various flats and apartments she lived in. Whilst walking to her current flat she met Luke who refused to tell her anything about himself. Over the weeks Reine began to notice him disappearing and became curious to why he disappeared and why he didn’t tell her anything. She eventually made him talk and he told her everything. Though shocked at first, Reine stayed friends with him and sympathised with him since his brother seemed a lot like her parents. Reine hated his brother, Juan, for this and the hatred only grew when she finally met him. Reine was jealous of Mitsukai for a small period of time when she fussed over Luke and tried to protect him but her jealousy evaporated when she realised Luke kept rejecting her when she fussed over him. Though Reine is no longer jealous she still hates Mitsukai, mainly for siding with Juan.
Reine has a bitter disposition due to her parents neglect to her dreams and feelings, and she became bitterer throughout out her travelling since she hadn’t met anyone worth remembering. She was lonely for the year she went to business school up until she met Luke but the void of loneliness wasn’t filled until Luke opened up to her. She was turned immortal by Luke and she is Luke’s closest friend. She is in love with Luke.
