*As Ben takes his first sip, he sees everything go hazy*
Whoa, this stuff is working like a charm!
*He looks down at his legs and sees that they are starting to fade out*
Ooops!!
It was a pleasure talking to you Cora! Hope to see you soon!

Goodbye Ben, likewise!

Tac blinked in with one arm raised in the air, covered in spiderwebs, brushing them away, the other holding Orcus before him with a small flashlight attachment, which was flicked on, though it seemed much brighter than it should have been, for a half a moment. He takes a few steps forward before realizing he's faded into the Brink, lowering his weapon and flicking off the light. He detaches the flashlight and stores it in his belt somewhere around back and reholsters Orcus, snapping the leather strap back in place. He hops up onto a stool and begins picking the cobwebs from his jacket.

:::Cora fades into the brink. She's lying on the floor, covered in her sheets, curled into a peaceful sleep. Her head is resting on her heands, which seem to be holding folded clothing:::
:::As soon as she senses the hard floor beneath her, she opens her eyes to see that she is where she was dreaming she would be. She props herself up, taking the sheets with her, and she smiles at the clothes. She'd been keeping a change of civilian clothing with her to bed for quite some time now, just in case the brink too her in her sleep. It seemed to work as she planned:::

Tac pauses as he sees Cora appear, simply smiling as he watches her awake. After a moment he feels something crawl across his neck, he reaches back and produces a rather nasty looking spider that is now clinging to his hand, "....SPIDER! AAHH!!!" Aracnophobia does that to a person when they don't have their wonderful magical enchantments to stop fear. He flings the poor thing as hard as he can, flipping backwards over the bar and cowering behind it.

:::Cora darts from her sitting position on the floor (bringing the sheets with her):::
My goodness!! Tacitus! What is the problem!??

He pops up just long enough to blurt out, "Spider spider spider!" Then darts back down. The spider, meanwhile, is scurrying around in a confused manner, pissed off like hell.

A what?? :::Cora's attention was then seized by something moving along the side of the bar, then up to the top, skittering too and fro in a very confused manner. It's body was the size of her palm, and it had eight legs that allowed it to scurry about. Cora had never seen such a thing, but like all the others in the Brink, she was sure it demanded respect:::
:::It was obviously scared:::: Oh, please calm down good Citizen. You are safe here. My name is Cora, you are in the Brink of Time... :::She felt a little confused, it's anatomy was SO extrodinary, she couldn't tell...what was what::: Uhm...are you injured?

Tac cautiously peeked over the bar, the spider skittering around, but a little less franticly. Tac popped back down, "Get it away from me. I hate spiders. They freak me out. It isn't evolved to the point of sentient thought or speech. Just...make it go away. Put it in a glass or under a bowl or something..."

Really? Why? :::But Tac had already sunk back down away from the 'spider'. Cora had yet to wrap the idea of 'nonsentient beings' around her brain...everything she'd ever seen move of it's own will she knew to have...a will:::
:::She moved over to the bar where the spider was flipping out...how was she supposed to communicate with it if it didn't have sentient thought:::
Uhm...alright, come here, over here...sir. :::
She motioned with her hands for it to move forward. When that didn't have any effect she made her hand motions more exagerated:::
Ooooooveeer Heeeeere! :::Slow and drawn out in case it could understand anything. But the spider just kept acting freaked out. She thought about getting her tranquilizer out, but who knew what kind of effects it would have on such a different creature:::
Sir, if you do not cooperate I will have to move you away from Tacitus myself. :::When the spider of course didn't do as she told, she went over to it and reached out to it with her hands...but before she could get her hands on it, it darted to the other end of the bar:::
Hey...!

Tac popped up again and watched it scurry away. He looked around and spotted clear tupperware container. He took an AP round from a clip in his belt and poked the tupperware a few times to make air holes. He stood up and took the lid with him, rushing down the bar and scooping up the poor little guy and pushing him off the edge of the counter, where the lid was waiting. He closed it up tight, dropped it on the counter and dashed over towards the center of the room to sit on a table in case it brought friends.

Oh goodness! Tacitus, what a mean thing to do. :::Cora went and picked up the captured spider. She looked at him with appologetic eyes:::
He didn't do anything to deserve inprisonment or confinement, he was just scared. :::To the spider, she spoke loudly, as you would someone who couldn't hear well::: I'm very sorry, Sir.
:::But she was mostly confused about Tac's reaction to it::: Why are you so afraid of him...her... uhm. It?

He glanced around and made sure no others were skittering around, "I just don't like them. They freak me out. Hell, if one the size of a buick, er...better comparison...uh, about as big as at least eight people tried to eat you I think you'd be a little afraid of spiders too. After I go back to my world I'll let him go, he'll forget all about it. And please, stop trying to be nice to it, it can't understand you. It can't register words or implied thoughts, its brain is too small, and definately not complex enough. That particular species just hasn't evolved enough." There were several magical versions he knew of that indeed could speak and were smarted that humans sometimes.

He was still wary, even though he didn't see any ararchnids in the area, "We either put him in a cage or put me in a cage." He let out a brief sigh, "Cora, sometimes the people in my world keep things contained because they fear it or don't understand it. Sometimes they cage things to study them. Though overall, Cora, believe me, I'll let him go when I go back to my world, and he'll soon forget all about it. If you'd like, if we ever go back to my world together I can show you a bunch of animals and plants, make a day of it, with a few other things thrown in."
