I HATE CONFERENCES!

First it takes over my life for a week, then I have to spend the NEXT week playing catch up. GAH! Okay, I'm finally BACK (until finals swallow me).
Speaking of writing, lookie what won me $50 and bragging rights in a local fanfiction contest (yes, that was first prize): Monkshood and Gloxinia, a Yu-Gi-Oh! fic.
You don't have to be EXTREMELY familiar with YGO to understand what exactly it is I'm doing. You need to know: a) a little about Priest Seth and Kisara from the Ancient Egypt arc, these wiki articles skim and summarize well enough you should be fine if you know nothing, b) recognize who the heck I'm talking about when I say Seto Kaiba and Ryo Bakura, which shouldn't be too hard, and c) I would suggest reading Christian Rosenkreuz's wiki if you are completetly unfamiliar with YGO's spin on the War of the Roses in the game, Duelists of the Rose.
None of that is necessary, but the extra info helps it make sense. biggrin

I used to love that show.
Watched it all the time as a kid.
My brother was really into the card game too.
I just liked the badass Kaiba and the weird British Bakura....

Lol, yeah... I watched up until the end (or close to it) of the Atlantis season of it.
I, personally, liked it better when it stuck to Egypt... but whatever.
I always liked the conflict between Joey and Kaiba. XD
