I may not be a man of god reverend, but I know right, and I know wrong, and I have the good grace to know which is which.

That is a great movie. At the top of my list of favorites.

Dead Frontier is a top-down view game, and you can't see s**t beyond like a proportioned 3 meters maybe, from the guy. Way too damn dark and fog-of-war effect going.

The 1st is annoying because you're in a house, very little room to move, and ammo and health are both so insanely scarce it's nearly impossible to win, assuming you can at all. For all I know, it's based entirely on your kill count and how long you lasted. I never saw any indication of a way to actually win it.

The 2nd is time-based. A percentage slowly rises to 100%. You simply have to survive until it's at 100%. Thing is, it's not that simple. It'll stop at 99% and everything swarms at you and I think some kinda boss monster appears. You can however, do nothing but evade stuff up to that point. Such as, let the starter monsters edge towards you and have them chase you in circles until it goes all the way to 99%. Then you're forced to kill everything.

The 3rd is easy, but just as annoying. I dunno about the man, but his daughter can die just like you, which I found out the hard way right at the end of the damn game. Leave the monsters alone when they're around her for a few seconds and she gets eaten alive. The good part is, you can survive it without firing a single shot or taking any damage, as the man has a shotgun and will shoot everything around him, and they both follow you all the time, so he's very helpful. You only have 10 minutes, so you can't explore or anything. I beeline it and barely have 3 minutes to spare. The odd part is there's no copter on the helipad. It turns out you gotta kill the boss monster on it to trigger the ending, which sucks a**. It's basically the final score screen like when you get a game over, only the normal biohazard symbol background is replaced by a helicopter in the air against the sunrise.

I'm not much for survival horrors. The only one I liked at all was Friday the 13th on the NES, but even then, it sucked, it's just very detailed for a game of that time. The way Jason appears outta nowhere is pure " shock " horror, which is just stupid, IMO.

I say a good horror type, be it a survival game, or a movie, needs more ambience. If the only scary parts are because a hideous, mutilated face appears on the screen and screams, that's not true horror.
