"Uh huh..." There was a 'look' exchanged between bird and woman that was all but an eyeroll. She then turned back to the man and smiled. "Well, generally there is at least introductions..." Both hands moved to her hips, the bird flapping just enough to get a perch on her cloaked shoulder. Both bird and woman simply waited.
"And I wasn't wandering, I was planting."

"Planting?" in the middle of a forest? She smelled like a human, but then it had been a few decades since he'd seen other species to compare with. She was making him hungry in any case, which reminded him "If your... friend flies on his own, make sure he minds the wolves. They're coming in increasing numbers everynight. I'm Priest."

"Yes, where you put seeds in the ground, give them water and light and let them grow?" She shrugged. "He'll be fine..." Her answer was short and she refused to give her own name.
"I'm hungry and it's dinnertime. Are we done?"

"Yes, I'd say we are." he gave her a wide grin before turning and walking away. He'd learned all about her that he'd ever want to know. More important, he wanted a snack.

"Eh...k..." She gave the odd man another weird look and turned about to head back to the place where she was staying. The people here seemed so very...eccentric...

Star wandered the sea of trees humming softly to himself his eyes closed as he simply listend to nature aroudn hm. Feeling the flow of magic through the forest Star would be able to tell when someone approached by merely disrupting these waves. like someone walking through a puddle ridden walkway.

The days of late have seemed much longer then usual perhaps that was the effect of summer heat. Unlike the prairies or plains in the lands the forest was most likely one of the few places that seemed to stay the same nearly through out all the seasons. Thick tree tops cut off most of the sun light that threatened the life of others. So the wild plant life still blossomed out of control as if nothing had change. Only the times of Autumn and Winter may the appearance of the Wilderness truly change. A place in which a continuous peace chose to linger only a handful of evil doers ever disturbing the peace of such beauty. Though the time in which to lay back and relax had become very solemn to the Reaper. Most of the days spent off into the Old and New Towns of Black Amber setting up staff for the clinics and hospitals. Further enhancing the blueprints of the defense foundation for the towns and people so that in the far or near future the people shall be prepared for assaults. Then of course the young woman has also been busy with getting her black smith shop fully set up and ready for when business will start booming. It seems that only more and more tasks were being laid upon her giving her small breaks in between each one. There was another matter in which she had to attend to as well which involved the welfare of her and the little brother, Jacob.
With the lumber factory being built off in the wilderness the decision to move to a town or not was growing ever heavier on her mind. There were several factors to take in when it came to this single decision. One of which was Jacob's every growing fear of people. Sure, slowly the boy was growing better at this though he has only been able to interact with children but only those that are younger then himself. Reaper was deeply hoping it wouldn't be the same with adults. If so then that only meant that the boy wouldn't be interacting with adults any time soon. Causing the child to be even farther behind when it comes to social skills. Hell, nearly every single person within the clan alone believed the boy was a mute. When in truth he was not so why exactly was this a concerning factor? In truth Reaper was afraid that moving them to a town in the mist of so many people would throw the child into a mental shock. It took nearly three years alone to have Jacob become willing enough to even talk to her. She could only imagine what it would be like if she suddenly threw him into a town amongst so many beings.
At least here within the Wilderness Jacob had the freedom to explore and have his own personal choosing of interacting with people that happen to be passing on by. Having a choice in any matter seemed to always be comforting to a person and she didn't want to take that away from Jacob. Plus, there are many good memories up there in that large fortress of a tree house. Sure, there had been sad times too but the good have so far been overwhelming the bad. Reaper wasn't that comfortable in civilization herself unless out on some sort of mission or job. What Reaper should do was to have the conversation with Jacob that way he could state his opinion on the matter. Yes, that was the right thing to do though he may be young the child was quite intelligent for his age one of the good aspects of him.
The soft rap of steps came to a slow stop as the echoing of a clear water stream came rushing by only yards away. With the heat beating down so harshly a heat in which could be felt even here within the wilderness grounds the sound of cold water was mouth watering. Surely taking a small detour before reaching home would make little difference that evening. Keeping a calm steady pace she stumbled upon the stream which played like an endless melody to her ears. The rocky smooth bottom could be seen easily from above the unsettled surface. A good thing Reaper decided to wear her working outfit today the only thing she had to remove were the boots. The mini shorts and the mini top were aloud to get wet. They wouldn't weight her down much at all and this way on the rest of the way home she would be cooled. Finding a good side circular sitting stone the woman set herself down unlacing the black boots. Setting them off to the side along with her dark colored socks before rolling her long thick braid into a nice bun on the back of her head. Only then would she smoothly slip into the cold touch of the stream.

Id snarled as he dropped from the trees, cackling quietly with his head dropped down. With a final growl he exited, reverting back into Quils. His appearance had changed quite a bit. His hair now reached his knees and was unrestrained. He wore a dark blue flak vest with a zip-up center, under that was a black wifebeater with the midriff cut off. He wore baggy urban camo cargo shorts and white lowtops with no socks. Raising his emerald eyes he smiled at Teresa. "I'm back."

A loud squeak rose up from the wet soaked through Teresa a nice large handful of river mud flying through the hair nailign Quils directly in the face. Only then did she peek a look to whom was standing there blinking a few times in disbeliefe at the familiar lavendar hair and dark chocolate colored skin. Though..the hair was certaintly..longer is was in competition with hers now. Before the poor man would have time to recover from the mud slap he would be pounced down by her a large splash echoing through the trees as the two crashed into the river.

Quils barely had time to wipe the mud from his face before he was assaulted again, this time feeling the familiar arms wrapped around his body before the sudden shock of cold water. His own arms instinctively locking around Teresa's body as he sat up in the river. His hair now damp and completely draped over his face. Despite being a little frustrated from the unwarranted attack, he was glad to hold her again. It was the same as always when he returned from a sudden absence. Chuckling he shook his head and cleared the purple locks from his face. "I'm home."

Teresa's arms were practically super glowed around the man unwilling to release their hold upon him. This was no long dream mirage of any sort it was real. The steady beat of his heart pounded in her ears like a pair of resonating drums. A steady warmth from the body extended through the cold waters to her. Loose strands from her dark bun stuck to the sides of her face framing it lightly. Her own face buried into his chest which was helping to conceal the slow steady flow of tears.

Quils placed his hands firmly on her shoulders and pushed her back so that he could see her completely, holding onto her as his eyes gazed at her tear stained face. The tears from his eyes concealed among water droplets. "Teresa." he said, leaning close and touching his forhead to hers, eyes closed.

Reaper had hoped that he wouldn't have to see her cry it was rare that she allowed anyone to see it and the last person she wanted to see it was Quils. The lavendar strands of him twisted with her dark streaks creating an interesting twirl of colors. Through the dampness came the warmth from the forehead cascading along with her own. Eyes clentched shut for several minutes as she worked to calm herself only opening her dark sea pools once she had herself completely recollected. The water dripping off her chin and hair as she sat there before him.
"Why...did you go?"

Quils sighed and placed his hands at her hips. "Information, I got a tip on my father that I had to pursue immediately. But the cost was too great. I lost my knuckle and I missed out on time with you." he said quietly, "but, I'm back." he whispered to her.
