Yeah, it was pretty cool. surprised I wonder if the figures they're going to release will be based on the image of actors in the movie, or if they'll go with the normal image Hasbro has established. Statues based off of movies based off the original are the suck.

So, the Devil's Due series is going to come to an end in July. There was word that although the storyline was supposed to continue with the new publisher, DD is going to make an ending of their own for the final issue. So, what is going on here? scream I suppose I should start catching up on what I haven't read now.

I have most of Storm Shadow, I haven't read it yet though. sweatdrop
Why are they taking GIJoe from Devils Due? They're doing such a great job with it. I can't see another company doing better.

I don't know why. Maybe they took the series somewhere Hasbro didn't want it to go. Maybe that place was occasional Bad Art Land. I heard IDW won't be much better in the art department.
Also, I read a couple issues of Storm Shadow, but it was firmly planted in I Personally Don't Like The Art Land, which is actually a slightly better alternative to Bad Art Land. They border, sometimes wars break out between them despite several peace pacts. I heard Bad Art Land has a compulsive need to invade the other, but it's generally understood that after it gets the urge out of its system, everything can go on as normal until it happens again.
Wait, where was I going with that paragraph again?

Now that the last Devil's Due issue of G.I. Joe has come and gone, I've had a revelation: I am ready for an entirely new story. While America's Elite had twists and turns and all sorts of stuff, I realized that I had gotten bored of it. Just plain bored of it. I came to this conclusion when I realized that I had a stack of back issues I had to read before I could read the last one. Seriously, seven months of story to catch up on. Even though I tried to blame school as the cause, I did not let any issues of BPRD or even Cable and Deadpool to pile up like that. I think maybe the story seemed to be bogged down at the end with military maneuvers, jargon, not enough Beachhead, and so much extras based in reality that I didn't care enough anymore. I want the slightly fantasy aspect of the older G.I. Joe comics, and I don't want to see the images of actual world leaders in my comics. It also really bugged me that the art in the story changed from good to piss poor every few pages. So, to sum it up, I am glad that G.I. Joe is changing hands, even if IDW has shitty artists like I'm told. At least one of those artists isn't that guy who draws Bludd with a big, fat, extra doodly face. Yeah, that's a rant. What do you guys think now that it's over at Devil's Due? Oh wait, I almost forgot. Here, here, and here are comics that are funny. If you head to the main site there's more, but they're really not funny, or awesome, I'll be honest. New ones show up every month. surprised

IDW is doing a good job with Transformers... I think they can do okay with GIJoe. Did Recondo return or is he still in hiding I haven't gotten the last issue yet.
On a side note Deadpool has a new comic, if Bob's not in it too I'll be annoyed. Bob is the better sidekick for him than Weasal.

Oh my, you haven't read for a while, have you? eek So, the new Sideshow Collectibles figures have come out. I haven't seen them yet, but my boyfriend says they are pretty awesome. Also, anyone hear about the new G.I. Joe cartoon that's aimed more at adults?
