Malade frowned at Angela when she told him he was the groom, but he did like the thought of him in a tux. But she was obviously joking, so he had no excuse to wear one. And that's what he thought until she leaned forward and told him that. He was already sure that faeries were really weird creatures, and he didn't really know anything about them, so of course he believed that. It didn't really make much sense, but nothing really did anymore. He was attacked by animals in suits. The world was insane.
"W-wait, I..." Before he could really say anything, she got all emotional, and that just made him even more confused than he was before. He looked around for a brief moment, really hoping no one was watching this... display. It was embarrassing and weird as hell. When she covered her face, he hesitantly scooted over, having no clue how to comfort her. He was a little freaked out by the whole situation, but he couldn't help but think that his uncle would be pleased by this. That certainly didn't make him feel any better though.
"I... I'm sorry?" He told her, cringing slightly, hating the fact that he had to say that. But he had no clue what else to say. He barely stopped himself from rubbing her back, so used to doing that in a failed attempt to comforting people. What else could he do to make her feel better that didn't involve impregnating a faerie? With a sigh, he gave her an awkward hug, really hoping that would work.

Angela.Tremaine My heart is like the ocean, it gets in the way So close to touching freedom, then I hear the guards call my name... Angela buried her face against Malade, mostly to keep herself from bursting into laughter. He believed it! He actually believed it. Oh, she was so lucky she'd caught him in one of his dorky moments, but she didn't think she could keep this up, sadly.
The lie had been so off the wall that she was already having a hard time keeping a straight face. She looked up at him and grinned, draping her arms over his shoulders. "Gotcha," she said. "Though it is nice to know you care. I was beginning to have my doubts for a while, there." She gave him a quick squeeze back.
"Don't worry. We don't actually reproduce that way. If we did, there would already be half fae Sanis running amok around the school. And I likely would have thrown myself off a building already because there is no way in Hell I would ever consider marrying him."
"The book is actually from my father," she said, releasing Malade. "I, supposedly, am engaged. I think he wants us to be fruitful and multiply or what have you." You can say it one more time, what you don't like, Let me hear it one more time, then have a seat while I take to the sky.

Malade felt like beating his brains out on the table, at a loss for words and having no clue what to do. He would deal with this the irresponsible way. Cheer her up as best as he can, then run away the first chance he gets. Best plan ever. But that plan was immediately tossed away when he felt Angel's arms around him, confused about the sudden change in emotions. And then he figured it out.
"Got what? I was just... playing along," He lied with a frown, refusing to accept the fact that he fell for something so stupid. "Even if I really did fall for it, you can't blame me. Pixies are weird." Or was it faeries? Well, they were the same thing in his mind. Glowing magic things that definitely did not reproduce through their back, because that would be silly.
He tried his best to ignore the mental image of glowing pervert children attacking the school, not even wanting to imagine how much turmoil they would cause. Not to mention the fact that their mere existence would be disturbing on its own. He brushed his shoulders off when Angela let go, glad that hugging wasn't some bizarre courtship ritual or anything for her kind. He couldn't be too sure about these things now.
"Engaged?" He repeated, a little surprised by that. Wasn't she dealing with her a*****e ex-boyfriend before? He gave her a look of disgust as he questioned her judgement, "Did you really agree to marry that creep? After I had to beat him with a snowboard and tackle him just to keep him off your a**?"

"No, no. Not him," Angela said, waving a hand. "I think he went insane or something. And I've not seen him around lately anyway. Not since he fell out of my window...and stalked me around the school. And I ran away from the infirmary to get away from him." She narrowed her eyes, frowning slightly. "He's gone all weird and nice suddenly and I'm fairly certain it's because I sort of fried his brains--though it wasn't my fault, really. Even when we're not dating, our relationship is weird."
"Anyway, no. Completely different person. He's a mummy but doesn't seem to actually be aware of this fact--either that, or he's in denial. And the whole thing was kind of accidental, really." She shrugged. "My father likes him and is...lobbying for him, for lack of a better word. Anyway, enough about my utterly bizarre and twisted love life. I'd rather pretend I'm not doomed to be forever stalked by brain fried demon princes, and mummies."
She shot Malade a grin. "How are you? How's your foot and all that? Better I hope..." You can say it one more time, what you don't like, Let me hear it one more time, then have a seat while I take to the sky.

Malade was very amused by the fact that Angela's summary of her love life felt more like super weird, off-the-wall story time. He did hope that she fried his brains literally, not figuratively, but either way, at least she somewhat dealt with him. The stalking thing bothered him though, but he could always solve that problem later. All he would have to do is get something harder than a snowboard to hit him with. Like an ax.
The new person seemed interesting, but he wasn't sure if he approved or not. When he thought of her being engaged with a mummy, all he could imagine was a shriveled up guy wrapped in dirty toilet paper, wearing a suit. But from how she spoke about him and the fact that her father approved, he couldn't have been too repulsive. "Well, as long as he's a little more respectful than that a*****e, I wish you two luck?" he said in more of a questioning tone, not entirely sure if he was okay with it. He would have to meet him sometime to make sure he was suitable. Wait, why did he even care?
"Can't walk two steps without feeling winded, but my foot's fine. A little sore, but I can actually fit it in a shoe without dying again," he told her, and even if it probably wasn't necessary, he propped his feet up on the seat to prove his point. "And you? Well, besides the weird relationships. Been kidnapped or attacked by anything lately?" From all the things he heard from her in the past, he wouldn't be too surprised if some new crazy thing happened to her that he didn't know about.

Angela.Tremaine My heart is like the ocean, it gets in the way So close to touching freedom, then I hear the guards call my name... "Actually, how do you even get your feet into shoes in the first place?" Angela asked. "That seems like it would bloody hurt to sort of shove them in like that. They, um, don't really look all that conducive to shoe wearing and all that."
She laughed and rolled her eyes. "Right. Well, I managed to get through the summer trip without being kidnapped. Nearly got eaten by a dragon, though. You know this is the forth time I've nearly been eaten." She pointed at the fresh scars on her left arm. "One of the teachers did this to me. Three teachers have tried to cannibalize me, Malade. Three."
"No more kidnappings though. I've actually lost count of the number of times I've been abducted. It's like some sort of twisted hobby, for people to grab me and run off with me over their shoulder. See, this is why I hate being small. People think you're some kind of travel sized snack food." She looked at him for a moment, then down at her scone.
"Want me to shout you a drink and something to eat? I don't mind." You can say it one more time, what you don't like, Let me hear it one more time, then have a seat while I take to the sky.

"It did hurt a lot at first, but I've mostly gotten used to it. Can't really walk around barefoot without getting weird looks," he told her with a frown as he put his feet back down. He honestly didn't care if anyone looked at him weird, but he didn't want to bother answering stupid questions. Besides, it definitely helped whenever someone would step on his feet. They were a little on the big side, so it happened often.
He cocked an eyebrow as she told him she was nearly eaten. He was just joking, but did it seriously happen that often? The way she always told him these things felt like a joke, exaggerated maybe. But he knew she was serious when she showed him those scars. He immediately hopped up to his feet, feeling the urge to punch something in the face. More specifically, whatever professor left those nasty marks on her arm, but he wasn't nearby at the moment.
"Do you know his name? What he teaches? Where he lives? Anything? I'll rip his arms off and shove them down his throat!" Maybe he was overreacting slightly, but he wasn't going to just sit and do nothing when a friend of his was hurt by someone. It was bad enough with that a*****e stalking her, but a teacher attacked her. If he ever got his hands on him, he would make him suffer much, much worse.
He was so focused on thoughts of vengeance that he didn't even notice she was speaking. He finally glanced back down at her when she asked if he wanted anything. He wouldn't mind that teacher's head on a plate, but he was sure that wasn't what she had in mind. "No thanks," He turned down her offer, definitely not in the mood for eating now.

"You'd think at a school like Rosen, you'd get fewer weird looks," Angela said. "I mean, you have horns sprouting from your head. It's not like weird feet are unexpected." She raised an eyebrow as he started raging about the teacher that bit her.
"No, no, no, no and I was planning to do that myself actually. I tried to blow him up but Abel jumped in the way--hence how I managed to scramble his brains. Never jump in front of a lightning bolt--it's not good for you." She stood and placed her hands on Malade's shoulders, forcing him to sit.
"You know, you've got this really serious white knight complex. It's sort of cute and all that, but really. I don't need you to protect me. I'm good. I appreciate the thought, though. I really do. But I'd perfer to find said teacher and slam his face into a pile of broken glass personally." ☣Katherine Parker☣ Kat walked into the cafe and looked around, " Should I sit with someone?" she asked herself. She then noticed the girl with the silver hair and the boy with horns. A little weirded out at first, " I think I'm going to like it here." She walked over, " Hi. I'm not entirely sure how to interact with other species because up until 1960, I only knew humans existed. But let's cut to the chase, may I sit with you two?" Waiting for an answer made her a bit nervous, " Do they even like vampires?" she thought, " They know I'm not contagious, right?"

"Well, I could come up with way more snarky remarks about chicken feet than horns, so I'm sure it's probably the same for others," He explained with a sigh and willingly sat back down. The mental image of that a*****e being struck by lightning certainly calmed him down quite a bit. He only wished he could be there to see it, then dance on his most likely unconscious body. Maybe claw up his face a little with his feet.
"I'll be sure to avoid any lightning bolts I happen to see shooting by," He replied sarcastically, wondering why anyone would purposely get hit by one. It was common sense that electricity could easily kill or paralyze, and it wasn't a risk worth taking. Though from the sound of it, it seemed like the two assholes were involved with each other somehow, which made plenty of sense in his mind. Asses attract more asses.
"And I think it's cute that you think you don't need my help," He remarked as he pat her head. Sure, she made quite a dent on Sani and struck that stalker with lightning somehow, but he was sure he could do ten times the damage she could. "You'd be better off letting me teach them a lesson so you don't get anymore nasty scars like that one," he said as he pointed at her arm.
He cocked an eyebrow as a girl came over, the other eyebrow raising as well when she spoke. It was understandable if she didn't know about other beings if she came from some far-off land, like many others around the school, but it was taking that long to get used to it? She must have ran into some really bizarre things over the years then. Still he couldn't help but tease a little. "Well, I didn't know these things made such a difference when interacting with people of other species. I hope you're not expecting to brand me and drag me off to some ranch, because I'm definitely not up for that," He snorted as pointed at his bull horns for emphasis.
"Anyway, I don't care. It's nice to expand my harem," He joked, remembering how the last time he came to the cafe, he was flocked by girls as well. ... Now that he thought about it, he should probably hang out at the cafe more often.

"Oh no, a scar!" Angela said, gasping in mock horror. "Whatever shall I doooo? It's not as if I have worse or anything like that. Oh woe and strife!"
She looked up in faint surprise when they were approached by an unfamiliar girl. Angela was fairly used to weird greetings. This was Rosentale, after all. From what she'd seen, half the student body and much of the staff had absolutely no social skills at all. But that was a really odd greeting, even for this place.
What was she supposed to say? 'Oh, right then. That was fifty years ago. You know, a bloody half century? Hopefully you'll start to catch on soon. You know, because the dinosaurs were slow to adapt too, and they all died off. So let's pray you have better luck, yeah?' That seemed kind of not the way to start the relationship off on the right foot, so probably not a good idea.
She shot Malade an amused look. Fortunately, he spoke up first and accepted the girl's request with less sarcasm than she'd have been able to do. She just smiled at the girl as she elbowed Malade very firmly in the gut for that harem remark, and said, "So, I'm Angela. Have you got a name?" Couldn't figure out if it was the tattoos or the refusal of getting contact lenses..." She looked up at the two of them, " Angela, is it? I like it. I had a friend that reminds me of you," her tone was very monotone and she spoke very slowly, " Pretty sure she's in jail now." She then looked back at the guy with the horns, " So it appears I haven't missed much. Kids are still smart-asses like they were back then. I already like it here." She ordered herself a mug of hot goat's blood and started to smoke from her pipe, " So what are you two? Y'all are the first beings I've met that weren't human or vampire."

"Scars are ugly. Especially when you have lots of them," Malade told Angela with a frown, wincing when he felt and elbow in his gut. He shot a glare at her, but resisted the urge to yell at her, at least wanting to behave somewhat for the new girl. "Malade," He gave her his name as they got introductions out of the way quickly, surprised by how forward this girl was. Well, at least he didn't have to hook an arm around her and not let go until she loosened up, because that certainly didn't work with that one shy girl.
He ignored her mumbling to herself, sure that it was something about her grandmother, and that wasn't his business. Things quickly went downhill when she mentioned her friend though. What, was she trying to gloat? Taunt Angela? Either way, it didn't seem like a good idea to him. Considering how he already took a trip to prison and knew it was nothing to be proud of, it just felt kind of pathetic to him. And if she was trying to get on Angela's nerves, he felt a bit worried for her. If she could give someone a lobotomy with a lightning bolt, he was afraid of what she could do to this girl.
"I'll have to ask Sylvia if she met her then. She's in and out of prisons all the time," He mumbled half to himself, wondering how his cousins were doing. Well, not Marcellin. He could die for all he cared, but he was concerned about Uncle's side of the family. They always seemed to get in trouble without fail, even if Uncle tried his best to keep them from doing anything stupid.
He narrowed his eyes at the smart-a** remark, resisting the urge to point out that she was the one being the smart-a** at the moment. But whatever, he didn't care. Backlash he could handle, especially after having to deal with that one b***h during the field trip. He cocked an eyebrow at her strange order and scowled when she brought a pipe out. Normally, he wouldn't mind too much since a good majority of his family smoked, but there was a good reason he was staying away from them at the moment. He already couldn't breathe for s**t, but the smoke cloud that was now hanging in the air around them made him practically gasp for air. And that wasn't even helping.
He coughed roughly in his hand, struggling to get some oxygen. He covered his mouth and nose with his shirt to help keep the smoke out before gasping out, "Put that... away... or I'll... shove it... up your a**!" And of course, as soon as he managed to get that out, he started coughing again.

Angela.Tremaine My heart is like the ocean, it gets in the way So close to touching freedom, then I hear the guards call my name... Was this lady really as old as she was claiming? Because Angela couldn't help but notice she was coming off like a young teenager trying to impress people, rather than a decades old, confident...well, Angela wasn't sure what she was but she was guessing vampire from the last remark (well, and the fact she ordered goats blood--Angela didn't even know this place sold that. Huh). To be honest, Angela wasn't sure how to react to the slew of randomness the girl had just spit out. Her grandmother didn't get along with her because she'd refused to get contacts? But hadn't she just implied she grew up in the fifties and sixties? Contact lenses weren't even all that common. Or...eh. She didn't know. Vampires were weird anyway.
And then the remark about knowking someone like Angela, who was in jail. Did she expect Angela to be amazed she knew someone in jail. Or shocked? Or...horrified? Well whatever. Angela wasn't going to bother with that because it was random and she really didn't care one oway or the other.
She dubbed the girl 'Madame Random Rambles' mentally though, and sort of started tuning her out a bit around the part about knowing someone in jail.
"Unicorn," she said after a long moment. "Half. Mum was a unicorn, Father was a rainbow. You can imagine the difficulties that come along with that." She looked at Malade with slight alarm when he started coughing. "Are you alright?" She pushed her teacup toward him. "Have a bit. It's not too sweet or anything." She waved a hand at a waiter. "Glass of water please."
Raising an eyebrow at the newgirl, she said. "And yeah, you know, asking if your bad hhabits might kill one of your companions is always the best choice, yeah?" Then again, the girl did seem a bit daft, so...
She didn't say much more than that, but really, a pipe up the arse did sound rather painful. You can say it one more time, what you don't like, Let me hear it one more time, then have a seat while I take to the sky.

☣Katherine Parker☣ Kat was zoned out the whole time due to nervousness. She had not interacted with anyone for a very long time. When she realized that Malade was choking, she accidentally dropped her pipe on the floor. Now in a panic, she picked up the burning tobacco, which didn't feel too good. she dumped all of it in the nearest trash can, including her pipe. She looked at the both of them like a deer in the headlights, " I am so... sorry... My brother was the smart one." She also realized that she was mumbling, " Don't pay attention to my ramblings. It's from... not having enough friends." She buried her head in her hands and then noticed the blood in front of her. Kat's eyes turned just as red and her fangs became more apparent. She gulped it down, her burns disappearing along with her worries, well most of them. Not even noticing the blood that dripped down from her mouth to her neck, she smirked again, " I have to eat, you know." She remembered what Angela told her, " Well that's interestin- wait what? Did you say 'rainbow'? As in the stream of colors after a rainstorm? How does this...?" She couldn't even finish her sentence with 'work'. Her mind was going at 100 miles in hour. She bowed her head at Malade, " Again I'm really sorry. I compulsively smoke when I'm nervous..."
