Ah! They were in the top Three! That was more like it! Keith was very happy for this turn of event. However...Chinese Deserts? He had absolutly no idea what was a Chinese desert... He opted for the easy way out. A Fruit salad. Oh something along those lines...
He went to the ingrediants table and took... Dragon Fruits. That was chinese enough, right? He brought them back to the station, as well as some sugar, chocolate, butter and caramel. He cave everything that wasn't a fruit to Conor. "Dude, just... throw all that in a sauce pan and stir it until it's all melted.... make sure the fire is low..." Yeah, Conor would porbbaly ******** up keeping the fire on low for the sauce... Oh well. Keith proceed to cut the fruit in prefect little dice. It looked rather cute, right? Well, now horrible, at least. He just had to hope that dip would be good...

Using the Cosmic Power of the Marie Sue, Alanis made sure to be doing everything! She ran around the kitchen like she had never ran before! Eggs where breaking, milk was pouring, butter was melting, everything had to be PERFECT. She had made 3 cakes, each one a different coulour. Now, she proceeded to cut everything in various form and shape and putting them together. Oh noes! She had a huge bunch of left overs... She would make cupcake out of them! Pink cupcake! Up to more cooking! WEEEE~~~~
This cake turned out to be quite loverly! Oh wait.. it was suppose to be the great Black tortoise... not the lovely pink one.. oh well! It was still pretty and everything, including the plate it was on, was eatable! SHE COULD NOT LOOSE.

Xeiro shook his head, well at least he wasn't last. He was sure to make this much better than the last two. It was the round he was looking forward too all along, the dessert round! He thought quickly on his feet, there were so many choices! He quickly decided on Nian Gao, and his special recipe, not the average boring kind!
He melted the butter and pulled out a bowl, he placed the flour, butter, eggs, milk, baking soda, and sugar into the bowl. He added a 1/4 cup of extra sugar to make it a little more sweet. He then placed the batter in little groups onto the pan followed by the azuki beans and then more batter on top of the little groups. He began cooking them and began chopping up the coconut strips into fine pieces.

Xeiro pulled the nian gao out of the oven and rolled the individual pieces into the coconut. He let them cool down and then placed them delicately on top of each other on a fancy little plate. He laid it out, a little disappointed with how they turned out in general. But, he hoped the display would go over much better. He held his breath and awaited the next judging.

Jack sighed as he heard his score, he did horrible that round. He then tried to think of a dessert that was chinese. He then smiled and knew what he could make. It was a simple treat that he used to get from helping this old asian lady from his old neighbor hood. He quickly boiled some water then dumped a bunch of walnuts in them. After the swelled up some, he strained them and then heated up some oil. He covered the walnuts in sugar then deep fried them. After the sugar was melted onto the walnuts and stuck together and golden brown.

Jack took the block of walnut candy out of the oil and drain off the oil before cutting it into three bars. He gentle rolled the bars in sugar and cinnamon then placed them on the plate. He hoped the judges liked these, he had a bad score already, atleast he could have a good dessert.

  Ahh, desserts! Haruka had never been good at desserts! Baking took too long, so in the rare occasions that her family did want something sweet, they would just go out and buy something premade. Going through her mental list of 'Asian-y desserts', she chose to make a mix of sesame and almond cookies, since they were simple and easy enough to make. She wasn't the greatest baker, mainly because she was afraid of getting fat, so she didn't eat many baked goods, but how hard could cookies be?

Nanami was feeling pretty down by this point. Making food look nice was hard! At least with cookies she didn't need to bother with sauce or toppings. When the cookies were done, she arranged them on the plate, alternating between almond and sesame. Sweet and salty, it seemed like a good combination to her. Halfway through arranging the plate, however, a few cookies crumbled. She forgot how delicate food could be. This was why she liked working on skin! It was flexible!

 Dessert. Alex wasn't particularly fond of sweets, and he only cooked them when he was required to. And since he didn't work at a Chinese restaurant, his knowledge of Chinese desserts was limited to say the least. But after a moment of thought, he remembered some coconut balls he had had a few years ago. He still remembered how to make it, so he went with that idea.

Argh, this was depressing. Why was he so clumsy? He had been so excited about it, too... Now he was starting to seriously regret coming to compete. The last rounds had gone so terribly! It was all because he had been arrogant! When this was over with, he was going back to the inn and cook all night long. He needed to practice. Letting out a long, mournful sigh, he set about arranging his dessert, trying to hide the mistakes he had made cooking them.

 Well, Fleurette had no idea what Max was making, really, so she kind of stood back and watched. But now, since she felt really bad for not helping, even though they were a team! So she felt it was necessary to be in charge of the dessert. She opened the page of the cookbook to Steamed Lemon Cake and started cooking.

Well apparently she was good at steaming things, because this lemon thing was coming along well. She thought that lemon was a good pallet-cleanser for meals, and that was the reason that she chose it. That and it seemed like an easy recipe. Fleurette cooked it to the very very best of her ability, clearly motivated by her failure to help with the main meal. It turned out the best it could've been. She relaxed a little bit for the presentation though, and it kind of lacked... prettyness. :< So to say, it wasn't very well-presented. She kinda just put it on a plate, and placed a candied cherry on top.

What they did wasn't completely horrible but... they didn't want to suck this much! At least Ilya didn't. She sighed slightly as the scores were taken into account. They still had a chance at dessert... not really but let the woman have her delusions. Soon enough she was working on coconut balls with red bean paste filling. Kaleb knew their fate, but found it so amusing Ilya kept at it. He wouldn't be the one to get yelled for it so...
