Serena smiled at her friends. "Yes, we do seem to have a lot of new maikos lately. I have two new maiko under my wing already and I just became geisha a little while ago,"Serena laughed.

Sayuri's lips formed into a pout.
"You must have had a really hard time, then," Sayuri consoled. "But...we are all good-natured here. Shall we begin a drinking game? I think I'll begin. Let's play Big Liar. I tell two stories and you have to pick which one of them is true and which one of them is false."
Sayuri paused to barely wet her lips with sake.
"Now, I was walking outside the other day, when I realized that my feet kept getting wetter and wetter. I couldn't understand what was going on, as I thought that I was all alone. It was warm and humid, but my feet weren't sweating. After a half a mile of walking our grounds, though, I turned around and was startled to see that one of our Okiya Maids was following me. I asked her what she wanted and she told me that mother had given her the task to carry around a bucket of water upon her head. Her instructions were to follow me around and to not spill a drop. Now what do you think of that?" Sayuri said, completing the first story with a laugh.
"Now...the second story. When I was twelve, I had trouble playing my shamisen. So, my teacher would scold me every day during class for playing so badly. I was utterly humiliated. So, I decided that I had to do something. I consulted Okaa-san about it and she instructed me to put an orange peel beneath my pillow for 7 nights while I slept. I did and by the next week, I could play like a master. Now what do you think of that?" Sayuri said, completing the last story.
"Which one is true and which one is false?" Sayuri replied, a grin surfacing to her lips.

She smiled to the patron and then to the flirtatious geisha around. Anyone who looked into her eyes could see her thinking about the two stories.
"Oh, I'd say the first one is false," The maiko said pleasently as she pulled a sake cup from a near by tray. She reached for the flask of sake and was about to pour herself the last bit, but noticed the patron's cup was empty. With soft smile and grace in her hands, she keenly poured the last bit of sake into his cup while pulling her kimono sleeve back, just enough, to show the under side of her wrist to him. She stood up with empty sake flask with a smile, "If you will excuse me for a brief moment, we've run out of sake. To get more I should just be able to go down the hall and fetch another flask, correct?"

"No no dear, a maid will bring some soon." Kyoku smiled and nodded approvingly towards Iyasu-chan ((that is your name right?)) "Well Sayuri-chan im going to go with the second one, that cant possibly work. If im wrong though i think i shall be stopping by the market tommorow!" Kyoku laughed and sipped what was left of the sake in her cup.

"Oh," She smiled sheepishly as she took her seat next to Kyoku once more. Iyasu replaced the flask on to the low table and felt her cheeks become warm under her white mask. It must have been obvious that streaks on the back of her neck were rosy.
"I still say it is the first one. I don't think a mother in any okiya would be that just for the sheer thrill of it. Perhaps, as a punishment but not for fun."
((Yes, that is my name ^_^))

"Actually, sleeping with citrus peels might give you a wonderful citrus scent, ne? That could be interesting..." Just as Kyoku had predicted a maid drifted in and replaced the flask of sake with a fresh one. "There we are." Kyoku spoke softly as she filled her own cup. "Have just a little, Iyasu-chan. It doesnt sit well for maiko to be drunk.'

"Of course, Onee-chan," The maiko replied as she reached for the sake. She poured herself a small amount, as instructed to do, and returned the flask to its position on the table.

"Sayuri, I am not sure it is a good idea to play a drinking game. Last time we played one, you got so drunk I had to take you home,"Serena reminded her friend.

Sayuri smiled. "Oh, Serena-chan. This time, I shall be better than good. I am quite sure that we won't play that many rounds. When one of us begins to feel light-headed, we shall stop. Deal?"
Sayuri waited for their patron guest to make his guess at which one was right and which one was wrong before she would reveal the correct answer. She smiled as two had already guessed.
"I don't believe we shall make the maiko drink penalty sake, though. She is too young. Instead, she should drink penalty tea... besides, you never allowed more than a drop of sake to ever wet my lips, Kyoku-chan," Sayuri reminded.

Jusu's Post
*quietly chuckling Jusu looks at the floor for a while as he is thinking, but after a moment he shakes his head softly*
I'm not absolutely sure which one would be false. Never played this kind of game in my life. I'll just take a random guess that the second one would be false.

She nodded to Sayuri and with a delicate movment she reached for a cup and the pot of tea. She silently poured herself a full cup and placed the pot in front of her. Iyasu thought it would be better if the pot was near by, since she was the one who would be drinking it for the game.

"Yes yes i know, Sayuri-chan, but you didnt get a chance to learn how to hold your drink! Being a novice though, it would be best for her to drink herself silly with tea." Kyoku giggled and set her up down, continuing to fan herself.

kitty-kungfu Her gaze shifted to the other maiko as she spoke. Iyasu smiled to her fellow maiko, while she studied her face. She looked formilar to her, perhaps she came from the same okiya. "I am well this evening, thank you," She replied softly to the other maiko. "You look very formilar to me. Are you from the Mizunoyuri Okiya?" While waiting for an answer from the newest guest, Iyasu picked up the sake flask in the middle of the middle of the table and offered to pour it to anyone who wished for more. "Yes, I am from the Mizunoyuri Okiya." Yokome said with a little embaressed half-smile. "What a coincedence! Hopefully we will see each other in our okiya sometime. I will be looking for you there," she said while smiling.
