Not really... It's just the kind of thing you pick after hanging with AP2CDU and Sereburo Sunjo and reading random articles on Wikipedia...

well with all this talk on weapons and such, what levels did you beat Ruby and Emerald weapons? i beat them at levels 51 for Emerald Weapon and 52 for Ruby Weapon. and yes, there was a lot of luck involved and thank goodness for the W-Item Materia

99 for both... I kinda got all master materias and a equipped a character with it, another one with a mime and cloud with Final attack linked to Phoenix, Knights of the round linked with Quadra, and a Mime.
After defeating both and getting the second Master Materia set, I equiped the third character with it and went to Sephy with the same "strategy"...
I think my team was Cloud, RedXIII and Vincent.

I know it's an old discussion that placed itself on the Races topic, and probably should not be posted here, but since it is about the FF races...

Yeah, I don't know either why I'm only replying now...

FF7's world is Gaia (also known as Spira in FFX and FFX-2 (yes, according to the creator of FFX-2 Shinra's line at the end was to mean that the worlds are the same, just at different times (FFX is the past))), having some species exclusive to it (RedXIIINanaki's and the Cetras, for example).
Humes are from Ivalice, a different world featured in Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy XII and Vagrant Stories, filled with diferent species also exclusive to it (as far as we know), like Vieras, Nu-mous, Bangaas, Garifs, Seeq, Urutan-Yensa, Occurias...

Humes, as far as we know, are the Ivalice "humans", but just because they look, act, and as much as is known are exactly like humans doesn't mean they are humans. Like the Espers in FFXII, that, even also having a species that looks a lot like them and share the same name in Gaia, in Ivalice they were actually artificially created from amina (spiritual energy) by Occurias, but they rebelled (with the exception of Zodiac and, maybe, Gilgamesh), so they where imprisioned in the Mist and latter on the Zodiac Stones, becoming known as Lucavis (yes, even Zodiac, the poor kid that didn't fight), with the exception of Gilgamesh, that somehow became an interdimensional time-traveler and started getting either famous swords or an almost-as-powerful copy of them (except for Excalipoor, of course), sometimes with the name "Alleyway Jack"...

Anyway...
Humans in the guild are from Gaia, and Humes are from Ivalice. Even looking like so, we can't say for sure that Humans and Humes are the same thing, as exemplified by the Espers in Gaia and the Espers aka Yarhi aka Lucavi in Ivalice.

(Note to self: ask Kasa to change Ramza's race to Hume latter)

hey all its me again with some more questions

1. who's voice does Cloud hear at certain points in the game (when blowing up the reactor, sleeping in junon before the rufus parade) i believe its Zack
but im not sure

2. i read in a couple places that there was a way to revive aerith in the early programming of the game what do you think could have been used to do this?

3. where is the best place to do super leveling (i'm at lvl 50 only on the first disc) i think its in junon where the soldiers are training, you pull a switch and an alarm goes off, you battle enemies that you aren't supposed to battle until disk 2

4. ever notice that some of the monsters or summons are acually based on greek mythology, and other beliefs from different cultures? like alexander, or shiva.

well thats all for now

1 - There has been some time since I played it... But it could either be him talking with himself or Sephiroth taking control of him (he did it sometimes through the game)

2 - Actually she wasn't going to be revived she wasplanned to die permanently from the start. But for why there are some places she shows up, I heard it's because the programmers where different teams and some didn't know she wasn't supposed to be there. No big deal for Square, since she wouldn't show up without her in the party anyway.

3 - I only heard about this bug nowadays... I got to level 99 inside Gelinka (the sunken airship).

4 - That's for ll FF games, they get their names from various sources, and usually use in some concept related to the origin.

it seems what i said was wrong Aerith WAS meant to die permantly but i think she was supposed to live longer than she does (from FF7citadel)

Based on a couple of things that "we shouldn't have seen", there is a very good possibility that Aeris wasn't originally planned to die in the cave in the Forgotten Capital, but in Sephiroth's cave instead, located in the Northern Crater. The two places are close to each other and not too much happens in-between. The only notable places that you visit in-between these two caves are Icicle Inn, the Great Glacier, and Gaea's Cliff. This explanation sheds some light on three different mysterious things found in FFVII:

1. If you use a trainer to bring Aeris back alive, you find that she has dialogue in the Great Glacier. More specifically, she says, "I'm sick of this." This greatly suggests that she was supposed to live longer.

2. There is a hidden area in the Northern Crater that is a third rendition of Sephiroth's cave called the Great Cave, which is a separate image of its own and cannot be accessed in the game. This area has Aeris's theme song playing in it, which is the song you hear when she dies.

3. In the movie where Sephiroth kills Aeris, he somehow gains black gloves part way through. I think that Sephiroth comes down from the air to kill Aeris because he is situated above everyone in his cave. When the story was changed so that she dies in the Forgotten Capital, I think they decided to keep the part where he comes down from the air, but change the part where he lands and kills her, to reflect the fact that he is in the Forgotten Capital. Listed below are a few things that you'll notice in the movie.

1. When you see Sephiroth without his gloves on, you do not see any part of the Forgotten Capital in the background. There are two parts where it comes very close; when he kills Aeris and at the beginning when you see Aeris and then you see Sephiroth in the air for the first time.

2. You only see Aeris once when Sephiroth doesn't have gloves on, and everything around her is suspiciously blacked out, as if they got rid the original Northern Crater structure around her. Right before he kills her, the video changes and he is wearing gloves and you can see structure from the Forgotten Capital behind him.

3. However, you don't see the branches or anything when the scene shows what is above Sephiroth. The bright light and the fluid-like stuff that is behind the branches may have been modified to replace the branches entirely, which are still present in video.

1- As I said, it is believed that programming was made in pieces. And since this is a line without much character development, it doesn't actually imply anything, the opposit of your "greatly". By the way, if you talk to her again she will tell you the button to see the map.

2- OR it could be a scene where her ghost shows up. I actually thought it was really weird that her ghost only showed up once in the game but so many times in the movie...

3- Oh, if so it would be quite the opposite, since the gloves are a part of Sephiroth's design.

that's just a rumor, dear. They were just testing the graphics for the ps3. When making a ff7 game they only use the original team, whom are all tied up in projects. The "remake" was actually at the end of crisis core.
