She kept a smile on her face and just had a sad gaze. "He didn't have much of a choice in what he became. He was tortured everyday when he was young and was more or less raised to be a monster."

She just leaned back some more in the water. "Oh? He was tormented?"

*she nodded and looked at the water*
when i first met him the organization treated him like an animal. he fought like one too. he scared me but the put me on missions with him. one day i was on a mission but i got in over my head and about to be killed but big guy came in and protected me. he took a really bad hit for me so that i can live. ever since then we been inseperatable.

Mari smiled as she listened and nodded. "He seems like he's very loving. It's sad when people are forced to do things that they don't want."

She nodded and just held the smile on her face. "That's all Matt and I want. To be happy and not have to fight all the time. Fun fights are okay, but this on and on bullshit with the city... It's getting tiring." As she spoke, the smile faded from her face. Her hand was still resting over her stomach and she rubbed it and bit as she let out a sigh.

She just leaned her head back and closed her eyes. "I'm fine. Just the stress of this, that, and other things. I might have to come to these springs more often just to relax."

Mari sat up and went under the water for a second and came back up, letting out a sigh. She then leaned back again and looked up at the sky.

Mari kept smiling and got up out of the water. "I think I've rested enough." She looked about and seen a towel on a shelf and wrapped it around her.
