((YES! now I get to join in...I'm happy ^_^))

Gwenn had not gone to school that day, she didn't feel like dealing with all the strange stares that people gave her. She had long bright red hair, her eyes were the brightest blue, slender build, short, but nothing that made herlook like she was a freak. But, ever since the people had found out what she was, they ignored her, made fun of her, or tried to best her. Two years ago now, had been the day that she had ruined everything for herself. She was doing good at being "Normal" but when it came to protecting the ones she loved and cherished, her temper flared. She had been in art class at the time and the teacher had been acting like a b***h again. She had always picked on the students that didn't do what she wanted, or just the ones she didn't like. This time her teacher had gone to far. Gwenn had set the art room on fire. First starting with all the "great" pictures in the class. Her teacher had screamed and was beside herself with rage, but not as strong as Gwenns. She quickly looked at her classmates that she actually liked and told them to get everyone out. The teacher had been cornered in a supply closet as Gwenn had set that side of the school in blazes. She had walked out with no burns, no ash on her. Nothing. Her anger had taken hours to calm. her parents had gotten her out of the mess, but in return she was out on her own. Ever since then people had known her as a freak. Had left her alone, and her "friends" had all left her. But the friends she had now, they understood her, they were like her in different forms.

She had been walking down the street from her favorite coffee shop when she saw Ben. She knew something had happend, hence all the sirens. The same sirens that had gone off two years ago. He looked devistated. She remembered that he was the only one around that had stayed with her during the past two years. She had ignored him till then, now she would never forgive herself for it. She pushed her long straight hair back from her face and yelled after Bed.

"Ya know, the faster way to get out of town is to go down the street, and take a left. But you wont get far Ben."

She kept walking after him, thats all she would do, walk after him, walk to where he was. Always walking.

He stopped walking the instant he heard Gwenn's voice. Ben turned around, his entire body giving a momentary jolt as a wall of steel spawned several feet ahead. Three cop cars slammed into it. "I could leave, nobody's fast enough to catch me. I didn't even have to come here, I could have ran until my legs turned to dust" he replied quietly. Perhaps Ben would recollect the past, if it weren't for those memories that caused him to recline into the mental state he had put himself into.

There was nobody to blame but him for the shell he had built around his mind. Not those who abandoned him, not those who ran tests on him, only Ben.

Aimlessly, Toyol drifted towards the school building, meandering as she pleased. Sirens buzzed around in her head as they followed whatever it was they were following, but were silenced as the heavy double doors to the school slammed shut behind her. She looked at the tiled floor, and Thera joined her from the confines of her mind. Toyol made a half smile at the miniature ghoul, with its deformed, white features. Its eyes were a dull red, same as her own, and it quirked its head to one side as it watched her, sitting atop a locker. Toyol never noticed that there was no one else in the hallways.

She made her way to the cafeteria, still staring at the tiles, stepping carefully on only a few of them, as though the rest would eat her. She didn't want to step on the faces she saw imbedded within them. They looked so sad and lonely already, that she figured they didn't need a foot to add to that. She entered the cafeteria, and immediately whirled and walked out. Her skirt swirled around her legs as she did so, revealing a rather new cut. Though, there was no one to see that. Thera followed her, not at all seeing the faces in the tiles that Toyol had convinced herself were real, stepping on all of them.

She watched as cop cars slammed into the wall of steel. She kept herself calm, and under control. This was her friend, she would not let him do this to himself. Walking closer, but with a sense of emergency she was closer to Ben now.

"Ben, through thick and thin. You always have people around you. Even if they are hard to find. You are not normal. People do call you a freak. Yet, they don't have to handle the burden of a power. Why do you let those idiots get to you when people get hurt as the end result. Come with me back to my place, and I'll fix ya yer favorite snack. I'll see what I can do to help ya with this. But I can tell you one more thing. I wont let this go. The school still has me to deal with. I don't think we'll be going back next week."

She had been talking the entire time in a calm, quiet voice. Right until she was standing right next to Ben looking up into his face, and placing a soft, warm hand gently on his arm.

"Will you come with me?"

He frowned, raising one eyebrow, and then raising both. Ben really wanted to be angry, scream out 'No, BEN SMASH!' and continue his battles with the police. He had every right to be, and Gwenn pointed a few of his reasons out. Most guys would do exactly what he felt like doing, and as soon as he thought of that, he remembered that he wasn't, and would never be, most guys. He stammered slightly, eventually finding words.

"That.." he paused, clutching his right fist. "Sounds like a plan" he finished, releasing tension on his hand.

She sighed with relief at his responce. She hadn't been to sure that he would give in at first. Gwenn ran a nervous hand through her hair, and then wrapped her other arm around Ben's waist.

"Come on, lets go before any more cops come around and want to take you away. That wouldn't do at all."

She started to lead Ben away, also noticing that he still was fuming with rage. She hugged him a bit closer.

"Ya know I'm not really sure what you would like to eat, or drink that is your choice. What is something you would like. So at least I'll know if we have to stop any place before we get to my place."

She was trying to calm him down to where he was the Ben that she liked to talk to.
Gwenn thought next to what she would do about the school. She knew that a visit would be made tonight to some certain bullies houses...and to the Deans house. Just to make their next move more silently.
She changed the grim expression on her face to now to smiling, and a good mood for the moment.

What is goin to happen now? I can't take him back to that school unless I can some how erase peopels memories....What is going to happen?"

He walked with her, finding it harder and harder to stay angry. Anger could do little against kindness, especially if it was all malarky. Ben looked down, though only for a moment. He then looked back up, the beginnings of a grin forming on his face. He made no motions to change his stance, as he wasn't necessarily familiar with expressing affection.

"Well...uhh...I can't say that I really mind at all about what we eat, just not fish" he said. "And it'd be best...if we went straight there...people..know my face...if you get my drift" Ben added, doing his best to keep his mind from such thoughts at the time being.

Toyol had left the school building, with its eerie silence. That she never noticed. Why would she? She was trying not to step on faces. As she skipped about, towards the same heavy doors she had entered through, Thera gave a defeated sigh and disappeared. Toyol frowned at the disappearance, then stumbled over her skirt and had to catch herself on the wall before she stepped on a rather disgruntled face. It glowered at her and she yelped and darted out of the doors, still stumbling. She fell face-flat on the grass and laughed at nothing in particular. Her laughter was hollow, disturbingly so.

Gwenn walked with her arm around Ben until they got to her apartment. She took out her key and opened the door. She flipped on lights and the TV as she walked in.

"Look, Ben. On TV again. Make yourself at home."

She went into her small kitchen and started looking through her fridge, and cabinets. She had told him that she would give him food. Unfortunately for her, she didn't have much.

"Well, I have left over pizza, left over chicken, left over everything! Or I even think I have some ready made dinners in the freezer if you're that hungry."

She continued to pull things out of cabnets. Finding a bag of chips she opened them, then began to munch.

"Help yourself Ben...So...umm, you want to tell me what made you lose your cool this time?

"Got back from OSS. Zeke got under my skin...couple of his buddies pushed me farther...sent the school into turmoil" he mumbled, not necessarily proud of losing control over something so small. He stared at the TV as he spoke, shifting his weight uncomfortably. "Don't think I'll be able to stay after that stunt...moved six times before...maybe seven times the charm" he added quietly. Ben quickly forgot that he was hungry, now believing that perhaps he'd really have to leave.

She put down the food, and stopped jumping up for a bag that was in a cabnit. Just stopped, and looking at Ben she understood.

He wants to leave again. He wants to go some place else so that he doesn't have to stand up to this. Well, that isn't going to be a probem after I'm done tonight.

"Now don't say tha'. Why don't you do somethin different this time. Stand up for yourself, but without the theatrics that happened today. Besides I doubt that the whole town wil remember it with time."

She had a knowing grin on her face now. She knew what she was going to do tonight. At least, she knew that Ben might stay after it was done. Now, she just waited for him to fall asleep, then she was would go and pay a visit to multiple people that night.

As soon as the woman stopped walking, her black cloak wrapped itself around her body, hiding her completely from view. Her hood was draped over her head, sheilding her piercing grey eyes from the sun she had learned to dispise so much. All that showed where her knee-high black boots. She her arms out of her cloak, pushing it back behind her shoulders, and pushed her hood back off her head, grimacing slightly as the sun hit her face. Her hands were gloved in a black material too thin to ward off weather or sun, and they stopped at her wrist. She was also wearing a high-collared loose brown sleeveless top and beige pants that tucked into her boots.

"Benjamin, a local High School student, terrorized his school using abilities most claim don't belong on this earth. Many are screaming for the execution of Ben and magic-wielding friends."

The woman scowled at the TV in the window. She seemed young, only about 17, but she had an air about her that suggested many more years. It disgusted her how humans were so amazed by her presence, but sickened by the presence of their fellow humans. When the news reporter stopped talking, Korrigan Venare reached back and once again threw her hood over her deathly pale face before walking off down the sidewalk, her cloak billowing out behind her.

There's so much power in this area... she thought to herself. It's unlike anywhere else I've visited. Out of curiosity and a thrist for knowledge, which she had learned led to power, she made up her mind to stay a while in the chaotic human town.

Toyol sat shrouded within her own mind, perched on an old rickety fire escape somewhere on the apartment buildings near the school. Her brow was furrowed contemplatively, and an old spoon rested on her nose. Her eyes were focused on the landing above her, as the stray cat poised there stared at her, befuddled. Toyol didn't recall how she'd gotten there, or where she'd gotten the spoon. She'd decided to name the cat 'Moser'.

"Something different" he repeated, letting out a sigh. "Because then I'll have more people after me. I'll make more people my enemy, hell I might even end up killing somebody. Soon enough they'll dig up my record, and it'll become clear why I've moved around so much" he said as he rubbed the back of his neck nercously. Not that it was itchy, or that he had a neck ache, but because it was a nervous tick he had developed.

"I don't want to make the world my enemy. Not yet" he added.

((This is my attempt at making a good opening post in this highschool roleplay. WATCH ME SCREW IT UP ROYALLY! XD ))

Trevor Knolls -- a young man of age 19 -- finally awoke to the sounding of his alarm. He set the blasted thing for 7 AM that morning, but he finally caught its sirens at 2 PM. 'Sirens...? This damned thing beeps. I think my alarm clock has evolved.' He coughed when he tasted hair in his mouth. The silver haired young man rolled over and off of his bed -- landing upon his bare back.
"Thank you. I needed that."
Trevor picked himself up and looked about his room. Such a bare place. The walls lacked wallpaper and only showed the dark cedar wood the small shack of a house was made with. His bed only had a sheet for him to cover up with. But that was fine. He knew how to keep himself warm. The young man walked over to a small dresser and pulled out three clothing items: a pair of blue silk boxers, black jeans, and a white button up t-shirt with the sleeves torn off to the elbow. He quickly got dressed -- well as quickly as a half asleep boy can -- and walked out of his room. He left the shirt unbuttoned and his pants showed the boxers underneath since they slid down and hung on his hips. He still heard the sirens and turned around to turn off his alarm clock. He mashed the button and turned back to leave the room. The sirens were still blaring.
"Whaza? Great. I get it now. Damned piggies. Waking me up damn it! Well, no need to b***h about it. I'm awake now. Oh loverly, I missed school too. I love today."
He rolled his silver eyes and passed by the small linoleum floored space that would be considered to be a kitchen. He slipped on his black sandals near the front door -- not like there was even a back door -- and walked out of his house. He didn't even bother to lock the door since there was nothing he valued in such a rundown shack.
Trevor walked down the weed-ridden sidewalk and continued on. He didn't even have a car. But walking was fine. Just fine.
"Maybe I can pick up my class work. Or get there for the last class of the day."
Trevor continued on down the street headed for the school in a zombified way. The young man was still half asleep and completely unaware as to what was going on around him.
