I'm Skyla. my mom was broughtup christen and my dad brought up a very orthdox jew so when i was born we didn't really go to many religiios services other then going to hunkah with my grandparents. when i was really young i use to go to church with my mom but that stopped just after i started 2nd grade. I went to temple with my grandfather at times but soon stoped discuraged because i couldn't understand what they were telling me. At one point i thought it my duty to beome the bridge between my parents families when it came to religon so i started going to a musanic jewish congregation (a jewish congragation that believes in christ) i went to serveses and hebrew school there for about a year and a half but what they were telling me just didnt make sence to me. I never understood how one man could make the world while it takes a man and a women to raise a child. I soon started looking at other religons. i started with many of the easter pholosaohys and studied Taoism for a a good time before two of my friends introduced me to wicca. i started studying it and all of a sudden i was like "i found it" i was going through a book and i kept nodding saying "i have believed that all my life!" so i have been studying wicca for almost 2 years now and have been lucky to have my two friends at my side when ever i needed them on the path.

Greetings, I am Tora Hikari, or Patrick, which ever you prefer.
Religiously, I'm some algamath of stuff that is hard to explain, since I'm still figuring out the finer points of it. As to tolerance, my best friend is Wicca, I was raised LDS, so take a guess at my tolerance level.

Hey, Tony here. I was brought up Reconstructionist Jewish, and at about 7 yers old I really stopped accepting without fact what was said in Hebrew School. Once I started asking questions, and not getting answers, I really tried to start looking into religion in a more objective way. Currently I'm an Atheist, and I don't expect that to change easily.

um...hello, my name is Amanda. I was never raised with a religion, nor do I wish to have one (I AM NOT AN ATHEIST!!!) Both of my parents were raised to be Christian and were both confirmed. I think their parents did it because that was what was socialy acceptible at the time. They raised me to have on open mind about all religions and to, as my mother says, "send everyone love from my heart"
I like to take away the good parts from every every religion I learn about. I have no desire to declare myself a certain religion or be confirmed to any one religion.
That was my piece, so long.

BlondJP02 Kido_Kihousho Hello everyone, I am Lauren, aka Kido (key-doh). I was born and raised a Baptist Christian. Later, around the age of 14, I became a non-denominational christian. Now, I am a non-debominational christian witch. I do not like people telling me that it is not possible, which it is. Witchcraft is a craft. People refer to it as "wiccan" only and that makes me mad because I am a firm believer in god and I do all my tarot readings through him. Everything I do, any form of healing, is through him. People, to me, seem to not understand what is seen in their eyes as "right". I am what I am and I believe what I believe. No one knows what is right and what is wrong, only God knows (if you believe in him). I wear a necklace with a pentacle and a charm of Archangel St. Michael. I am suprised no one has called it "blasphemy" or anything else along those lines. I thank you people for understanding that people have their choices. What is right in their eyes might not be what you find right, but their decisions and belief is theirs and theirs alone. It is best to not argue, because one's views will only change if they want to change it. I thank you all for understanding these things and I am proud to be in this Guild. That is exactly what I have been looking for, I have always called myself wicca/christian because I didn't know what else to do with it. Thank you so much for showing me this new idea! you are very welcome

I don't have a name, but I've been called id, Damien, and Jesse, among other things. I was raised without religion, my mother is agnostic (though the rest of her side of the family is Roman Catholic) and though I'm not sure of my father's stance, I've never heard of him going to church. In my freshman year of high school I became an eclectic Wiccan with a persecution complex and a grudge with Christianity for about 2 years before becoming an atheist, ceasing ceremonial magic and beginning meditation (following the beginning of my drug use). For a while after high school I identified myself as a reality model agnostic, which kept up until I saw God* and Jesus on LSD. Still holding distaste for Christianity, I refused to call myself such, though it affected my models in a major way.
After moving to Boston I discovered Gaia, Eteponge, and Gnosticism. Having finally gotten over my fears of Christianity, I still identify myself as agnostic, but my primary reality model is heavily influenced by Gnostic thought. Thelema and Discordia have also been rather influential in the way I see the world. As if my perception wasn't all over the place enough, I've been toying with the idea that all the religions I've researched so far have their roots in Sumerian mythology.
*My current primary reality model considers this to have been a vision of Demi-urge.

My name is Quratulain, but everyone calls me Aini (due to ahem... pronounciation issues) xd Well, I was just a Muslim by namesake until 2 years ago where I reverted back to the true essence of Islam. Much much happier that my spiritual awareness increased. Everyone noticed a change in me and my sister as we had both been finding more and more about our religion, the more we found out- the more we understood how little we actually knew of it.
I live in England and I'm fortunate as Allah's mercy is upon me, I have a good family and I have good results and Inshahallah (by the will of Allah) I strive to do good.
Any questions you have, I shall hope to answer them if it's within my capacity.

Hey y'all! Call me Holdwine (duh). I am also on Gaia as Bork, and yes, I am really a girl. wink I was born into a very Christian family, my grandfather is a Baptist preacher, I am still Southern Baptist even though I don't agree with 100% of what I was taught. I don't think that any religeon other than Christianity is wrong, and I am less likely to judge someone who has different ideas than mine. I am really interested in learning about other religeons, though I don't think I would ever change my religeon. My main philosophy is that people should be able to worship(or not worship)any way they choose to, as long as it doesn't negatively affect people around them(Christian and Non-Christian). By the way, if I type something that sounds odd, it's usually not meant to, it's very hard for me to get my point across sometimes. sweatdrop And I usually use Christain examples because that is what I know the most about(which will hopefully change as I become more involved in this guild wink ).

Hello everyone, it's nice to meet you all smile My name is Elana, and I just recently joined the guild. I originally had a long, detailed post typed out, but Gaia had a hiccup and it was not posted sweatdrop So, I shall try and do this again.
The basic religion I grew up with was Christianity. My mom is Catholic, and my dad is Greek Orthodox, which are both very similar religions, with Christianity as their basis. I was baptised Catholic, and I attended religious education once a week for 8 years. My parents were neither very orthodox or unattentive... we'd attend church a few Sundays here and there, but not every Sunday, and we certainly went to church on the important Christian holidays, such as Christmas and Easter.
Although I was raised within the parameters of a very Christian faith, I don't really identify myself with any religion. I love to study all religions, along with myth and lore, history, archaeology, etc., and I find it fascinating when I see all of the common ties among them. Many times the similarities are absolutely uncanny. I love it surprised heart
Though I don't consider myself part of any one particular religion, I have a very deep spirituality that pervades every aspect of my life. I guess I'd consider myself to be ecclectically spiritual, although that carries a connotation that I don't necessarily like. My spiritual beliefs are derived from my studies, my personal experiences, my memories, and my inner knowledge. Yes, a lot is implied there that I'm not going to delve into.
If I were to relate my beliefs to the existing religions, I suppose that Christianity, Shamanism, Buddhism, etc., would be the primary contenders. I believe in Christianity to the extent of "following the teachings of Christ," which I may interpret differently than some other people would, and my beliefs are very nature based as well.
As far as my belief in a deity goes, I'd consider myself more pantheistic than monotheistic or polytheistic... although I believe in a personal and impersonal god, along with an eternal life-force that permeates all things. To me, these are all one and the same being, yet at the same time many different beings. Sort of a paradox.
My beliefs can get kind of extensive and specific... and complicated to explain whee
In any case, my spirituality is a very prominent part of my life and I cherish it above all other things. I am very happy to be a part of this guild, and I look forward to talking with you all.
Now, I'm gonna copy this post in case Gaia decides not to submit it again wink So... much typing.
