I have a friend from Korea.
A couple days ago she was talking about this restaurant, Makino, and she said, "My mom loves that buffET." ET. With a T! Then, yesterday, she couldn't pronounce "California Roll".

★★★ I can't say I blame her for the mispronunciation. English has so
many words that aren't spelled the way they're pronounced. The
worst offender, in my opinion, is the word colonel (pronounced
"kernal"). That's probably why I'm so enthusiastic about Japanese
and Chinese and other languages like Tibetan and Korean - they
are pronounced exactly the way they're written. It makes me happy.★★★

is unagi and tamago. I haven't had any sushi in a while, though.
Actually, it was unagi nigiri zushi that led me to discover and fall
madly in love with unagi donburi ("unadon") ... now I'm drooling.★★★

I'm really hungry for sushi now as well.
Unagi tastes really nice. I've loved most types of sushi I have eaten. Tako (octopus) nigiri and Amaebi are my favourites so far.
I am also really curious about odori-ebi !
Aah, I always kill myself when talking to fellow sushi-lovers. ;~;
