Sparks Metalgrinder
Vice Captain

PostPosted: Wed Aug 02, 2006 12:36 am

Sparks' eyes went wide and he suddenly burst out laughing. He wiped his eyes and shook his head and sighed, highly amused by the suggestion.

" Oh hardly me wee one, I be Sparks Metalgrinder, I help look after ya and the others. No one owns ya really, Just that green guy ya talkin bout, he just lays down the law so everyone be happy. Oh speakin a happy"

Sparks reached into the back cart and pulled out both gifts, one long and large, wrapped in green and with a brown bow, the other more square and flat, wrapped in brown with a green bow. Sparks pointed to the big gift and stated " Fer the boy" and to the other " Fer the girl"

" Ya enjoy ya gifts, that green fella got em fer ya just tah say welcome an all. If ya too younglins need anythin I live in the basement downstair so come knock on the door."

With that, Sparks turned on his train and started out the door, engine whistling as he went

Inside each gift:

In Laudanums present is a shiney new green guitar that almost seems to radiate happiness from it. If strummed, the guitar creates illusionary dancing lights that dance to the tune that is played and disappear when not.

In Absinthe's there is a patchy warm looking jacket that fits her nicely.

User Image

She will find that even when she grows, the Jacket will always fit her nicely. And in the light of the moon, the jacket will fall apart and turn into many autum leaves that will swirl and place upon her back like Fairy wings.

User Image

And yes, she can fly with them.

Absinthe blinked, but happily accepted her gift and she waved her appreciation to the midget-man as he puttered away on his strange contraption. "Look, Laudy, the Green One gave us gifts!" she exclaimed, all too eagerly opening her own box and holding up a sweater, examining it closely.

"So...I wear this thing, right?" she said, sticking her head and then arms through the sweater, poking her head out from the top in curiosity. It was comfortable, and she enjoyed the feeling it gave her.

"Hey, this'll be great to go out exploring tonight...wanna go together?" The Rosin didn't wait for an answer, though, as a new idea blossomed into her mind. "I know...since you don't want to go exploring outside first, I'll go first, and then we'll know what's good and what's not good when we go together!" Jumping up from her seat on the bed, she gave him a tight hug. "Don't worry, Laudy, I'll find us lots of fun places to go!"

And just like that, she was gone, running down the hallway in preparation to head into the town. The only hesitation was in stopping by her own room, where she placed her sweater for later examination.

RP LOG - Absinthe Meets Olivia

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Olivia hurries into the mall. She is wearing one of the outfits she picked up a few days back. It consists of faded, dramatically-flared, bell-bottom jeans. They have a hole in the right knee, and patches of brightly-colored flowers on the left leg, toward the bottom. Through the belt-loops is a knotted belt that seems to be made of a soft material made into thin ropes. There are wooden beads throughout it, that make up a flower pattern, and on the ends of the long ropes that bounce at her left knee when she walks. Her top is sleeveless, with a flowing, handkerchief 'hem', and patterned with swirling bright purple and bright pink. A matching ribbon is adorning the long, strange ponytail she always has her hair in.

As she walks through the entry way, the heels of her black boots click against the polished floor. She grins, excitedly. Even if she can't bring her friend from the shiney land here, she is certain to find endless entertainment. She loves this place.

She looks around, contemplating which store she wants to go into first.

Fallen_kitsune_thief
"Wow...this place is incredible! Laudy is going to love it!"

Apparently, Absinthe hadn't learned the skill of keeping thoughts in her head, but at the moment, she didn't really seem to care. Twirling quickly to take in all the sights, she gasped in amazement, nearly falling over from how dizzy she was. The Green One...he had told her about this place, but she hadn't quite remembered it before. Not that it mattered, though: all that mattered was that she was there, and that it was amazing.

In her sight-seeing, she didn't seem to notice the little snake-girl, and in a spin, accidentally bumped into her. Seeing as how Abby hadn't quite mastered balance, either, her bottom made quick friends with the floor, and she rubbed her head, a tad confused. Where had a wall come from out of nowhere?

Of course, looking up with wide eyes, she found that it wasn't a wall, but rather...a girl...like herself. Except (and she re-adjusted her glasses to make sure she wasn't seeing things) the girl seemed to have a tail. Now that was weird. Laudanum certainly didn't have a tail, and neither did Absinthe. For a moment, all the green little Rosin could do was stare...until she finally found her voice.

"Uhm...you have a tail."

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Olivia stumbles when she is bumped into. Apparently, she wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings, either. She stumbles back, her arms windmilling, while her long-suffering tail reaches out to help her keep her balance.

But, it is in vain. For, soon, Olivia is falling onto her bum, as well, with a small 'oof!'

She shifts, so that she is sitting on her heels, and rubs her bum, the eye hidden by her bangs squinted, while the visible eye takes in the girl that bumped into her.

"Yessss," she agrees, her tail perking up and waving, as Olivia's hands are currently busy trying to rub the sore out of her bottom. "And, you green," she says, nodding, as is her habit.

Then, she perks right up once more, a friendly, beaming smile on her face, as she says, "My name Olivia, or Liv, or Livvy. You pick," she recites, once more. "Who you?"

Fallen_kitsune_thief
"Uhm...why, yes, I am green," Absinthe replied, almost as if she hadn't noticed her unique skin tone before. True, Laudanum wasn't green, but Abby had simply assumed that it was just the fact that he was male, unlike her. And yet, now, she was in the prescence of a girl who found green skin...odd?

Was Abby odd?

So intrigued by this new discovery was the girl that she barely remembered to acknowledge the other rosin's introduction. "Oh, well, Livvy, my name is Absinthe," she responded, saying her name with confidence. It was a rather nice name, right? Not like her skin, which was apparently odd. She would have to ask Laudanum about that later.

"So I guess you know where everything is around here, right? It's all so...big! I think Laudanum might be a little scared by it all, though," she admitted, not realizing that the other girl didn't know Laudanum. After all, how could someone not know Laudanum: it was blasphemy to Abby's ears!

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"Green a pretty color," Olivia adds. "Nicccce to meet you, Abssssinthe," she adds, beaming once more.

She stands, and looks around the place. "Liv only know a little sssshopssss. Liv not explore much, yet." Rocking on her feet, which proves to be difficult in her current shoes, she thinks a moment. Then, with a bounce, that sends her dizzying ribbon bouncing with her, she gets a proud look on her face. "Liv sssshow Absssssinthe whatever ssssshe wantssss! What Abssssinthe want to ssssee?" she asks, her hissing speech drawing out most of her words.

Fallen_kitsune_thief
"Nice to meet you, too, Livvy."

"Hm..." What would dear little Absinthe like to see? Well, there was so much to do, and so much to look at, she couldn't decide at first. There was no way she could have this much fun without Laudanum around...or perhaps, that would be it.

"Do you know if there's a music store around? My brother just got a guitar, and he probably needs a book for it," she affirmed, standing up and looking around. It seemed the place was even bigger now that she'd calmed down, and even easier to get lost in: it was a good thing Absinthe had bumped into this tailed girl. The chemical rosin was beginning to think that maybe the other girl was part snake, but didn't really feel like asking at the moment: it wasn't all that important to know, anyways.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Olivia nods enthusiastically. "Follow Liv!" she calls, and reaches forward to grab at Absinthe's wrist to tug her toward the store. "It passsst the sssshop with the pretty, bright clothessss. We sssstop in there, later, and you can ssssee what I mean," she says, grinning. Everyone has to like bright clothes! All the swirly patterns and things. She lets out a happy sigh.

Her boots click against the floor as she hurries toward the store. When she is in front of it, she bounces on her toes a few times, her hands clasped to her chest as she beams, rather proud of herself. "Here! Abssssinthe can get Laudanum, whoever he issss, that book!" The brother concept doesn't sink in, as she has never before heard that term. "Why brother not here?" she asks, glancing around as though he will pop up at any moment. "Oh! And, Abssssinthe warn Laudanum!" she leans in, conspiratorily. "Bookssss can be mean. They jump out and attackssss you," she nods, all seriousness.

Fallen_kitsune_thief
Absinthe gasped in delight, looking at all the books. "Wow, this is perfect!" she exclaimed, picking up a thin paperback with the picture of a guitar on it. "Well, Laudanum's not here, because he's a little shy and I told him I'd come out and explore first," she explained, flipping through the flimsy pages in an attempt to see if this is what he would need. However, she closed it tightly upon hearing about the danger of books.

"They attack you?! I can't get my brother something that would attack him!" She dropped the book back into it's pile like a hot potato, giving it a good stare before looking back at the girl.

"Maybe we should go to the clothes store: I mean, clothes don't attack, right?"

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Olivia watches Absinthe drop the book, and tilts her head to the side. "They attack when pusssshed around, Liv thinkssss," she says, smiling slightly. "Laudanum might be ssssafe from book?"

She hugs her tail close to her chest again. "No, clothessss don't attack!" she says, giggling as though that is a silly thing to say. "We go ssssee them. Abssssinthe might find ssssomething sssshe like."

Fallen_kitsune_thief
"Okay then: let's go find some clothes!" Absinthe replied with an enthused smile, quickly leaving the rather dangerous bookstore and looking down the hall, running straight into the clothes store. Once again, she was instantly occupied by staring at all of the colorful things, and her eyes were wide with excitement.

"Wow...there's so much clothes! What do I do when I find something I like?" Already, she was searching the aisles for something that matched her skin. "I wonder if they have matching suits for twins: it'd be so cool to have the same clothes as Laudy!"

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
(( I am so sorry! Work has been killing me.x_x Tax free weekend brings out all of the idiots. >< ))

Olivia blinks after Absinthe, but is soon hurrying after her, her long tail swaying behind her.

When she gets to the clothes store, Olivia grins at Absinthe's reaction to all of the clothes. "You jusssst take it. But, there rulessss. Abssssinthe no take more than sssshe sssssuppossssed to. Sssseven . . . outfitssss." She nods, bouncing on her heels now. "Livvy think there ssssome clothessss that match each other. Abssssinthe and Livvy jusssst have to look exsssstra hard," she adds, the grin on her face once more.

In Which Abby Finds Her Wings

Fallen_kitsune_thief
-New RP-

It'd been a long day at the Mall, and Absinthe felt a relaxing evening outside would be the perfect thing to calm herself after all the excitement. It was a shame Laudanum wasn't there, but then again, it couldn't really be helped: he was too busy messing with his guitar, and hadn't wanted to be disturbed.

Oh, well: at least the weather was nice, and her new jacket fit just right, perfect for the descending temperatures as the sun began to set. However, as daylight dimmed, she realized something: her sleeve was coming apart! She tried to piece it back together, but the more she picked at it, the more the pieces frayed, and even fell apart.

"Oh, no! This is bad," she said, watching the pieces fall. It was nearly dark: how was she going to find them all so she could fix the jacket once she got to her room? Before she knew it, her sleeves had entirely disappeared, and as all form of light left the sky, the remains dropped to the ground as well.

Absinthe cried out, and knelt down to pick up the pieces, but they suddenly began to float, twirling about her. Tightly, she squeezed her eyes, fright filling her body. Then, all of a sudden, everything seemed to halt, and she opened her green eyes warily.

The pieces were all gone, not a single one left at her knees. Absinthe tried to feel for pieces still perhaps on her body, but instead found a soft, silky substance, and her hands explored it's lengths to find the source.

Which just happened to be her back.

Instantly, her mind went into panic, and only one word could form on the mental plane: LAUDANUM!!!

Kyrianna
It had been quite the uneventful day for the less adventurous Rosin as he had stayed quietly in the room he had been given. When asked if he wanted to go to the mall with people he had adamently refused his sister's request and instead chose to remain behind with his new gift.

His guitar. His baby which he had decided he would NOT name until he could at least play a simple song on it. At the rate he was going, it wasn't likely to be any time soon that the Rosin would be able to do it.

He had discovered the light shows by pure accident when he had first tentively attempted to play a few notes. Little pops and fizzles of light had exploded and Laudanum had immediately thought he had set something on fire.

How, he hadn't known.

He was about to start another try at 'Twinkle Twinkle' when he heard his sister's panicked scream inside his head. Normally, he'd be a bit peeved that she had thought so loudly as a headache was already blooming...However, it sounded like an emergency.

The guitar was left where he sat as he ran out of the building and tried to follow the panicked vibes coming from his twin.

Abby? Abby where are you?

It must have been something to be able to talk to him mentally when her ability was to read his thoughts, not communicate by them.

Fallen_kitsune_thief
Absinthe began to calm down upon feeling her brother's mental touch, but was still incredibly freaked out by the fact that something had leeched onto her back. Tilting her head towards the Development House, she decided to search for her brother there. She broke into a run, trying not to notice that the back-leeches were slowing her down like a parachute. However, before she could even get to the door, she found her brother, and in an instant ran up to him.

"Laudy, I was out here, and then my jacket fell apart, and I was all worried, but then all the pieces disappeared, and there's something on my back, and it's really weird! I don't know what's going on!"

Flailing her arms, she grabbed him for support as her wings began to flap, sending a good bit of dirt everywhere. "I can't even see what's stuck to my back, Laudy!"

Abby Meets Krait and Anguis

Taro Rae
Krait made his way into the park. Normally he wasn't terribly interested in fields of grass, but the autumn leaves were turning their brilliant colours and Krait had ventured out of his house to take in the scent of rot and growing cold. He had a thick woolen coat pulled over his double sleeved shirt and a long white and black striped scarf wrapped many times around his neck and face. With his hands shoved deeply in his pockets, Krait kept a slow and conservative step. The teen was willowy and lanky and in the growing wind, he seemed as if the wind might pick him up off the pathand toss him around with the flurry of leaves in the air.

Krait caught sight of the one named Kyler rolling about the cement of a skatepark on a board and paused to watch quietly. Krait's blue-on-black eyes peered over the top of his scarf. Though he could feel his own breath hot against his cheeks, trapped as it was by the woolen scarf, the air aronud him was not yet cold enough for him to really see his breath in white clouds.

Fallen_kitsune_thief
Absinthe frowned, her concentration on holding a bowl of steaming soup as she stroled her way through the park. She certainly didn't have any reason to be happy: Laudanum hadn't been feeling well recently, and he hadn't even gone outside in the longest of times! The chicken broth she carried was for him, heat fizzling off of it from the biting autumn temperatures. Of course, Absinthe had no tolerance for the cold: as usual, her patched jacket was on, thankfully a jacket in the daytime. One didn't have much need for wings when it was cold.

So enraptured was the young girl in her brooding that she didn't notice the older boy until she walked rght into him, causing herself to topple over and the soup to splash across the ground, splatters of it staining her outfit. At first, she blinked in confusion, then looked up with a wide eyed stare...and up, and up, and up. She'd never seen someone so tall before, except maybe the constructs.

It took a moment with an open-mouthed stare before Absinthe remembered her manners, pushing her glasses back into position on the bridge of her nose. "Uhm...I'm sorry..." she said, not really paying attention to her words so much as she was staring at the boy's tallness. But, of course, in order to quench her curiosity of how the boy came to be such a height, she would have to bring it up in a subtle, intellegent way

"...Wow: you're really tall."

Hakari-chan
Anguis was up and about that day too, bundled tightly up in a thick coat and a long scarf, his long pointed ears poking out from his scarf, reddish brown dreadlocked hair pulled back in a ponytail to keep it out of his tan face. His long, serpentine body was moving smoothly along the sidewalk of the park, brown/grey scales flashing lightly in the late afternoon sunshine. His black eyes roamed around the surrounding area out of idle curiosity. It'd been awhile since he'd been outside due to the chilly weather and the fact that he was a cold blooded creature. He hated being cold, but if he had stayed in his room for another day he would have lost his mind!
He rounded a copse of trees and saw a girl his own age, and a very tall boy in the middle of the path ahead of him. he paused for a moment, tasting the air warily with his black forked tongue before moving forward to the group, curious.

Taro Rae
Krait had been intend of watching the rolling of the skateboard on cement and the rolling of leaves on wind and had not seen the girl coming. She bumped right into him, and Krait, starled, jumped a mile in the air - or so it seemed. The girl splashed how soup all over her jacket and all over the ground. Krait stood stiffly staring down at the spilt soup, unconscious of the fact that his sinewy tail had decided to curl itself tightly around Krait's ankle.
Eventually Krait raised his gaze and peered her in the face with his stark eyes. Tall? Krait let the word drift through his mind for a while before associating it to anything. "Yes." Krait replied carefully, unsure of what he ought to say. "Do you need help up?" Krait asked, offering the rudder on her tail as most would offer a hand. Krait's voice was quiet, barely audible through the layers of wool, but the tones of it were dusky, shy and peacable.

Fallen_kitsune_thief
Absinthe looked from the boy to his tail, and then something clicked: "Hey, you're like Olivia, aren't you?" Entirely disregarding the fact that he had offered to help her up, Absinthe stood on her own, no longer sporting the bewildered look on her face and actually smiling, ignoring the stains on her sweater as well.

Once she had wiped the leaves from her backside, Absinthe proceeded to walk in a circle around Krait, seemingly fascinated by the boy. "Wow, you are like Olivia...only you don't do the weird 'ssssssss' thing...My name's Absinthe, by the way," she said, holding out a hand for the boy to shake. Confidence lay in her voice, as well as light, proving to be a suitable contrast to the other's speech, and for a moment, she was reminded of Laudanum and his quiet ways.

But, then again, what didn't remind her of Laudanum? If only she could remember what she had been doing for him at the time...

Hakari-chan
Finally deciding to make his move, Anguis moved forward as he saw the girl spill her hot soup.
"Are you okay?" the naga asked, brushing a few stray reddish brown dreadlocks back from his face. He tugged his scarf down a bit so that he could speak and be understood. He turned his black eyes up to the taller boy and noted, with surprise, that he too was part snake.
"Hey...you're a snake too." He pointed out, rearing back on his long tail, making himself taller so he could look Krait over. He had a tail too, black and white all over...but he had legs too...how strange!
Unlike Krait, Anguis had no legs, only his long, thick tail that began at his hips.

Taro Rae
Krait watched her apprehensively. He blinked languidly as she mentioned Olivia. "I used to lisp when I was younger." He whispered and shrugged slightly. When Absinthe offered a hand to shake he gripped her hand with his rudder and then let his tail curl arnud his leg again. "Hello Absinthe. My name is Krait." Krait averted his eyes and stared intently at the soup. He was being inspected, watched. She was so outgoing, so friendly. Krait felt as if he were empty like rain, felt like he was a shadow fading away in the wake of her light. He let out a small sigh and hazarded a glance up at her face.

Fallen_kitsune_thief
Absinthe blinked, tilting her head as she was let go from the rather odd handshake. It was like talking to Laudanum, only worse, because she couldn't read the snake-boy at all, and she had no idea what he was thinking! "...Are you okay?" she asked, toning down her voice to make it a softer, sweeter sound that she knew Laudanum liked when he was feeling upset. However, before she could receive an answer, she heard another's voice, and turned around to face yet another newcomer.

The green girl stared this new boy up and down: he was about her height, and likely her age, but the moment her eyes trailed down, she blurted out, "You don't have any legs," not saying it as a surprise but rather as a simple fact, and it was a moment before she looked up at his face again.

"I'm alright, though I don't know if Krait is," Absinthe explained, looking back up to the teen. Maybe he felt more comfortable among his own kind, like Olivia...it was bothering Absinthe that she could not read him and find out. "And I don't think I'm a snake...I think I'm green, actually."

Hakari-chan
Anguis shook his head at the girl, now towering over her somewhat since he was raised up on his tail.
"Not you, him." He said, gesturing towards Krait. he blinked at her observation that he didn't have any legs and looked down at his tail, and then down at the other twos legs.
"Ah...no. I don't. I think it's better without." he said with a shrug, lowering himself to her height again. The ability to raise himself up so high was an ability unique to the mamba species. Most snakes could raise their heads off the ground like him, but the mamba family was able to raise up to 2/3 of their body length off the ground, making them extremely tall.
He looked her over with black eyes, and blinked.
"You're ah....very green." he pointed out, unsure of what else to say about the other girl, besides the fact that she now smelled strongly of soup.
He glanced back at Crait from under his reddish brown bangs, curious about this quiet other. Was he anything like Anguis himself?

Taro Rae
Krait glanced first at Absinthe and then at the newcomer. He fonud his ntural instinct to run and hide and cleared his throat. "I'm fine..." He watched the black mamba rise up and then lwer himself to a more reasonable height. WAtched and inspected by two now... Krait felt like screaming or crying or running away. He took a deep breath.
Yeah, I'm a snake. A Sea Krait." He replied, hunching his shoulders to further bury his face in his pile of woolen foulard.

Fallen_kitsune_thief
Absinthe looked from one snake to the other, suddenly feeling very alienaed. Did they have special snake-only bonds that they shared? She wanted to be part of the snake club, too! So, she watched carefully, trying to see if there was something they did in particular that made snakes.

The girl looked over Anguis first, trying to imitate his recent movements but only getting so far as standing on the tips of her toes. "Why yes, I am green...Green is a nice color..." She then shifted her stare to Krait, who seemed to be just a taf uncomfortable talking to children.

"Are you sure you're okay?" she asked, noticing the troubled way he was acting right from the start. Her glance went downward to the soup-bowl...and that's when it hit her. Laudanum. With a sparkle in her glance, she scooped the now-empty bowl into her arms, kneeling down to do so, then looked back up at Krait with a grin. "You know, you should talk with Laudanum: he's a lot like you. Only he's not a snake. And he's not tall." Finding that she hadn't quite asserted herself, she added, "But he is like you. A lot. He would like you."

Hakari-chan
Kraits discomfort was noted by Anguis, but not mentioned. Instead he said "My name is Anguis, and I'm a black mamba." he said. As he spoke, it could be seen that the inside of his mouth was completely black, which was how his species got it's name. He curled his long tail around his base and sat back on it, watching as Absinthe began speaking to Krait about someone she knew. Obviously she had been here longer than he if she knew someone that well.
"Why do you have legs?" Anguis abruptly asked Krait, despite the fact that the teen was apparently uncomfortable around them. He simply couldn't help asking. He was normally a quiet person, and kept mostly to himself, but again he was curious about the other serpentine Rosin.

Taro Rae
Krait pulled one snow-white hand free of his coat and pushed the edge of his scarf down to that his slightly blueish lips were visable. He stuck out his blue-black tongue to taste the air and took another deep breath before answering. "I have legs. I don't know why... But Maybe they'll fall off like my skin did." Krait had noticed that a few things had changed about his physical body when Laticauda had detached himself from krait's once child-like body. Some day he'd be nothing but an overactive tail and stripes. He pondered to himself...

"Who's this Laudinum?" Krait asked softly to Absinthe. Krait was slowly calming down, and felt brave enough to ask a question or two of his own. "I don't know... There are a couple of Rosin that I guess are friendly enough towards me...." Krait had a hard time believing that someone might like him.

Fallen_kitsune_thief
Absinthe gasped, as if the very question were surprising to her. "You don't know Laudanum? Well, I guess he hasn't been out much, but still..." She looked from Krait to Anguis, trying to figure out how someone could live without knowing Laudanum. She was certainly foreign to the sensation.

"Laudanum's my twin brother: he's not green, though. He's really shy, though, but it's alright because I can read him and know why he's shy. I can't read you, though: it's kinda weird." An idea seemed to light up in her eyes, and she smiled, clutching the bowl to her chest. "Hey, I'll see if he wants to meet you guys!"

To the other two, it would seem that Absinthe suddenly lost focus, and was peering off into space, entirely lost in thought. The truth wasn't far from that assumption: her mind reached out for her brother's prescence, touching him softly to get his attention. I'm in the park, Laudy. There's someone I want you to meet. Can you come outside? She then refocused on the two snake-boys, smiling with some sense of accomplishment. "He's gonna tell me if he can come down."

Hakari-chan
Anguis thought about what Krait said for a moment and then nodded. It made sense enough to him. Perhaps this other, though taller than him, was actually less developed? Maybe he just hadn't lost those silly looking legs of his yet. Tails were so much better, Anguis though. After all, one could curl up in it like a bed, grab things with it, hang about in trees, make oneself taller...the list went on and on. Yes, tails were definitely the way to go!
Anguis was brought back when Absinthe began speaking again, saying something about that other boy again that she thought Krait should meet. He looked at her oddly when she suddenly spaced out and then came back again. He looked over at Krait quizzically, as though wondering if perhaps he knew what had just happened.

Taro Rae
Krait watched Absinthe focus her mind on something Krait coouldn't see. He blinked, and made a very false assumption. Perhaps her 'Laudinum' was akin to his Laticauda. Krait smiled suddenly. It was a small, curling, shy smile, but it was genuine. "This Laudinum, does he give you advice and keep you from getting in troouble?" Krait asked, describing the functions that Laticauda filled for him.

Kyrianna
"What? Huh? Oh. Uh..." Well, Laudy couldn't exactly respond to his sister, mentally. He could only read her emotions. Figuring he probably should figure out where the hell she was, he went on trying to figure out how to contact her without their mental link.

Hmmph. Did she forget that he couldn't respond? The brunette sighed and picked his guitar up, slinging it onto his back and looking around the room. He could always go exploring, he supposed.

Pursing his lips, Laudanum exited his room and went on the wild goose-chase for his sister - wherever she was.

Fallen_kitsune_thief
Absinthe nodded at Krait's question, obviously very proud of having her brother. "Yeah, Laudanum helps me with just about everything. He's probably smarter than I am, but he has a lot more common sense." Her gaze lost it's focus as she keyed in on him, and she frowned, crossing her arms. Of course he wouldn't know where to go: but how would she remind him...?

A smile spread across her face, and she sent her brother the panic she'd felt when they'd first been in the park and her wings had appeared. If he couldn't catch the reference, then she'd just have to go find him herself.

She then looked back at the two again, sighing. "I think he's a little lost, though, so I might have to go get him. He may be smarter, but I know the place better."

Taro Rae
Krait nodded and took a small, shy step forward. "It is not a good thing that he is lost. If you need help finding your Laudanum, I can try to help. I keep my Laticauda in a box under my bed, so he doesn't have the chance to get lost." Not realizing that the others probably did not understand that Krait referred to his shed skin, he nodded softly to himself, as if keeping a sentient being in a ox was perfectly normal.

Abby was frantic. She couldn't hear him--she couldn't even FEEL him as a part of her anymore! She tried checking his room, but the door was locked. She tried checking all through the city. She tried everything, and for all intents and purposes, he was just...gone.

Had he gone missing with the spider-man? She didn't know!!! Only one person could possibly know, but she couldn't find the Green One, either. Did no one care that Laudanum was gone?

Pacing around in her room like a crazed animal, she began to shake her head as tears glittered down her green skin. She took off her glasses to wipe her eyes, but the action in itself caused her only to cry more, and with a whimper she went to her bed and collapsed, defeated by the hopeless empty space in her mind where her brother used to be.

And then, an idea struck her: she sprung up from her place, and rummaged through her things (which had all been knocked to the ground in her prior frenzies). Somewhere along the madness, she found a pen, but no paper, so she began writing on the next nearest creative surface; her bedroom wall. The words read thus:

Deer Dear Mr. The Green One--

Please help me find Laudy. Pretty pretty please.

Love, Abby

Beside the letter, she started drawing a stick-figure picture of she and her brother, holding hands, with her vague memory of the Green One standing over them, all smiles, all happy. She could only hope the sentiment would reach him.
