I live on the western side of Aiken SC, so I had to vote South SC, but it really is western SC.
Actually, I am originally from New Orleans, but I've lived in SC for many years. And yes, I came here long before Katrina!
And yes, I like it better here.

Fayetteville, NC here. Not quite sure what to vote though. I think it's middle of NC, right?

You're sort of on the border between the central part & the coastal plains. Technically, it's probably coastal plains, in the sandhill region.
Ah, Wilson! I think I went through there on 64 the one time I was able to go to the Outer Banks. Is that the town with the really nice rest park/welcome center on the west side? We stopped there.

I saw something on one of the news channels, and I think they classed Fayetteville as Central, not quite sure though as I was only paying half attention to the TV.

I live near Winston-Salem as well, I didn't know so many Gaians lived in the area! Keywords are near and area, I don't live in Winston but it's the closest well known city to me. I actually live in the foothills.
And the middle of North Carolina is called the Piedmont I believe (not sure if anyone answered that) sweatdrop .

Hi, Lola! smile Yeah, there's a whole crowd of Gaians in the Piedmont Triad, seems like! I'm on the farthest east side of it, & sounds like you're out on the farthest west side.

MaxDuo Well out of curiosity... we have this smile And I dunno if SC is split into regions so I just turned it into North and South hehe... And humorously I can't remember what the middle part of NC is called, despite living in it. I know it meant something like "rolling hills" though.........eh. I think its called the sandhills smile

I think its called the sandhills smile The sandhills are a wide-banded region through SC and NC. There tend to be lots of 'bays' in the area - strange oval natural lakes/ponds. The sandhills got their name because the entire region used to be the beach some thousands and thousands of years ago.
