ZK is in my opinion one of her best works. They TOTALLY need to release it in America...after I'm done reading it online blaugh It's really hard to chose who Riiko should end up with... Soushi or Night? I love Soushi but I would cry over what would happen to Night if she ended up with him so I just dunno sweatdrop

PanPan-chan where do i find more scanlations? and how many volumes are there supposed to be? and how many are out already? The Scanlations are getting dropped now because Viz has the rights to publish it so they are working on getting it out as we speak. About volumes I am unsure how many volumes there are in the hole series.....

ThkyaGoddess wait are u saying they're only having it in shojo beat, not the volumes! If not i'll write a letter to them asking for the volumes! stressed >_< It's a mangazine concept, like Shounen Jump there WILL be volumes. Shoujo Beat is just going to go chapter by chapter. That's how it happens in Japan. A chapter comes out and when there are enough for a volume they release that volume. They've never just released chapters and never had tokuban.

So yay! I got the last two volumes of Zettai Kareshi today, volumes 5 and 6. I can't believe it ended that quickly, but considering it took up half the sixth volume I'm assuming that was the ending.
Opinion, spoilers prevalent:
I don't know how I truly feel about the ending. It's nice to see how Watase-sensei brought the story to a conclusion but somehow I wasn't expecting this. I basically just skimmed buy from my understanding Night's system shut down and he just "died" sort of. I'm not all up on the details since I haven't actually had time to really sit down and read it, but it was nice to see Riiko kinda actually make up her mind. I still think it's a little silly she chose a figure over a real human being but it all worked out in the end... I guess... Don't get me wrong, I like Night, he's a great character and would make an awesome real guy, but this is why I hated Chobits, I don't feel like you should be able to fall in love with a machine/creation/doll of some kind. Though, I was greatly amused the entire time Night was chibi and his little heart to heart with Miyabe-san was endearing. Overall the series was a nice one, but it's definitely not my favorite.

I thought that the ending was perfect and it really couldn't have been concluded any other way that wouldn't have resulted in me burning the manga in frustration and cursing Watase Yuu-sensei.

Well I couldn't ever really say that I knew Zekkare was going to be my favorite. I knew that it was going to be kinda blah compared to her other works, but I still enjoyed it. And overall I'm satisfied. It's nice that it was so short though. Six volumes... heh, she hasn't made a long series since Ceres. I wonder if Genbu Kaiden will be long?

Shoujo Magic had a mini-spoiler saying that one of the Genbu Seishi will die, and Takiko will *somehow* summon Genbu. 3 books and 4 seishi... Well, she's as fast as Miaka.

After the "incident" in chapter 12 (more like plot twist, really), I'm wondering how Watase's going to work about the time issue.
<<I hope that Takiko doesn't stay in her own world for too long because this is one of the reasons that Miaka couldn't initially summon Suzaku--she took too long gathering her seishi.>>
P.S. I agree that Zekkare isn't Watase's best work (ahem, Ceres, Ceres!) and it's really quite shallow compared to some of her meatier stuff. Thankfully, it was still a fun ride and had a good ending (it probably couldn't have been any better, given the circumstance).
Hm... I wonder what sort of story she'll cook up next?
