Solari 2
So close. Solari’s head wiped to look at who had grabbed her so fast she thought she would break her neck. She scowled at the same man as before! “Are you following me?” She said in a low hiss as she narrowed her eyes at him. She tried to tug her wrist away from his grip. The nerve on this guy! What were the odds of this guy showing up here? Solari was going to make sure she got his name this time around so she could remember! Solari blew a piece of her hair out of her face. It looked like she wasn’t going to be able to get anything here with him.
“So are you here about the missing jewels or the missing people?” She chuckled before turning her attention to the leaders briefly. “I’m here for the missing people.” Well also to make sure some precious ites also went missing but she wasn’t about to tell this guy now was she?

Jhin - 3Smiling faintly at the reaction Jhin simply shrugged, "Seems like our stars are just in line today." As he let go of her hand the man shook his head, "Honestly just seems to keep happening...though I suppose huge crowds tend to bring people together." The archer glanced about the crowd thoughtfully at her question and despite some amusement at her commentary of jewels it was the people who made his expression darken. "Lives are always my priority." He finally confessed, "I came to see if there was anything I could do to assist." After all guarding the forest was his main purpose. How could he guarantee a safe path if people were disappearing before him?

Nyxamora | 2 |Nyx’s gaze followed the wide path of the shifter girl’s hand, and at the dry remarks that followed, she felt the corner of her lips edge further up. Just the kind of humor she enjoyed. Maybe this meeting wouldn’t suck so much after all.
“The name’s Nyx,” she performed a mock curtsy, ‘daintily’ holding up invisible skirts as she dipped low in a clearly ironic fashion, “I come from the quaint yet noble town of Who-Gives-A-Damn, just a day’s walk away from Nobody-Really-Cares.” She resumed her cross armed posture, resting the small but callused fingertips of her hand against her clavicle, “And I am here because I’ve got nothing better to do. The family had to close up shop to make the trek, and I had to come along.” Nyx eyed Ikkio with a half grin, shrugging her shoulders, “But it beats being stuck back there with the old cronies too old and stale to come along.”
Nyx looked back up at the front, cocking her head a tad, “So, Ikkio, of the illustrious heritage of the mighty Biroki…I suppose you happen to know those sods up there as well? Since your old man’s so important?”

Ikkio Post: 3 Location: With Nyx -------------------- Ikkio giggled, an actual giggle of surprise. Well what did you know - she'd found someone worth talking to. Maybe she had some hope for this stupid festival after all. Maybe... "Oh yes. This beats being lectured day in, day out, by boring old people about the proper way to do things" Ikkio wrinkled her nose with deliberate delicateness, "... barely." Her grin snapped back to her face, brightening at the 'title'. "Of course I know them! He is soooooooooooooooooo important after all." she said, drawing out the syllables to ridiculous proportions. A beat of silence. "... And not a one of them are worth listening to." She sighed. "Maybe they know something, maybe not. But really, if they did, you'd think they'd do more with that, wouldn't you? Which means that Flowers-and-sunshine over there is over her head again, and those two strapping men failed to communicate. Again." Ikkio knew what politics there were, it spiced up a dull life - first in the cracking marriage of her parents, then in the Zenan city, and then in the sisterless void between there and here. She remembered the Oban war, and how clearly, something had gone wrong. Her opinion of the leaders was a little wry. MissMisnomer Some spice to go with Nyx's salt Forgive awkwardness, Ikkio is still - in a sense - new to me

Nyxamora | 3 | Nyx found her posture relaxing as their communications progressed. Well, ‘relaxed’ in a sense: there was still that inherent sharpness to her mannerisms. That would never go away. But she found she was enjoying herself. And learning a bit in the process.
She snorted and gestured up to the ‘adults’, arching an eyebrow, “So I take it that the girl is…Antiope? I’ve only heard her name before, never seen her. And Enki and Enlil…I thought they’d be taller? You hear so much about these people, and when you finally see them, I have to say…I’m a little underwhelmed.” Nyx rolled her shoulders, propping a hand at her hip, “But I suppose they are so well known for a reason, right? Surely there’s gotta’ be more than all…this?”

Solari 3
“Maybe,” Solari said slowly. “Or maybe you’re stalking me.” She had a huge grin on her face, obviously just pulling his leg about it. If he wanted to follow her around she wouldn’t stop him, that was if he could keep up with her or not of course.
“That’s very,” Solari waved a hand in the air. “High and mighty of you.” Her own life was her own priority and that was about the extent of her priorities list. “You get nothing in return. Why do it?” She was genuinely curious, Solari always did things because she got things in return.

Jhin - 4"Would you prefer to think that way?" Teased Jhin in turn as his own smile shifted into a teasing grin, "Sometimes a pretty girl would enjoy having a handsome person to watch her back." He joked lightly. After having to deal with a horde of female cousins constantly teasing him the boy had learned to tease a little bit, "That and I'm sure she could appreciate not getting in trouble since there are indeed so many people here." If one person happened to be sharp enough to notice their loot missing then how could she manage to slip away through a whole crowd of people? That and being a Matori in this crowd was rather....noticeable? Or perhaps he was doubting her skill. Jhin shrugged. Either way he preferred to keep the area around him quiet so that he could find out what was going on, "I get things....in a sense. I have a place to call home in the area I guard and people offer thanks in various ways." Whether in coin or not it didn't matter to him. He just preferred the warm feeling he received when someone truly in need received aid, "It also is a good way to practice on my fighting." He teased, "That way I know my arrows will always hit their mark."

Chapter 9: Grave Expectations
|| IC ||
It felt as if the crowd immediately had bristled. There was confusion, there were people arguing, some of the shifters had turned their eyes to those who didn’t quite fit in yet. But Antiope raised her hands, trying to get the crowd back to her.
It didn't seem to be working and Enki could very clearly see that. He felt his irritation growing, it seemed like some of the younger girls weren't even aware of the situation, or at the very least not taking it seriously. Eventually Enki stepped forward and bellowed for the crowd to quiet. ”There is no need for this!” He called out, his patience already wearing thin. He eyed the two girls with a stern frown, one leaf and one shifter it seemed. "These are people's lives on the line." He could feel himself nearly snarl it out.
Antiope gave Enki an empathetic nod before she addressed the crowd again. ”As I said, this is happening in both our land and in Tale. We don’t know what is happening, and we don’t know who is behind this.” She gestured to all of the people in front of her. "We are trying to find out as much as we can, but for now please do not go anywhere alone. We need everyone calm and safe in the meantime."
Enlil spoke up from where he stood. "Now we do not know who is doing this, but there is no evidence to suggest that it was other earthlings, nor the Alkidike. Every instance almost suggests that these missing people are almost vanishing into thin air." He seemed to be chewing on the idea, like there had to be more to it, but he hadn't quite solved the problem yet.

Lixes - Post 4 Settling into his new perch he found himself leaning forward a bit as he listened to what was going on in more details. He glanced down at his brother and said, "Seems pretty scary, huh?" To think that it was happening in both Jauhar and Tale. People were being taken away and had no idea who was doing it? That made him worry a bit since that meant that they had nothing to even go on when it came to their villainous targets. At the mention that they needed to refrain from going places alone he gave his brother a pat on the head, "I guess you're going to have to stick with me for a while... but don't worry, I won't ruin any of your dates going forward." Of course that meant that he would need to find someone else to team up with when Drexl was out with Jerami, huh? That meant finding other like minded, hero types to hang out with going forward. Surely there were some of those about, right? Here was to hoping at least. Looking down at the his brother he asked in a hushed but hopeful manner, "Do you think they are going to look for volunteers to help out with looking for people and the threats?"

Ikkio Post: 4 Location: with Nyx --------------------Ikkio shrugged. She supposed there had to be a reason, somewhere, somewhen for their leaders. She feigned contriteness at Enki's glare, then smirked. So? His point was? That she should care that there were 'lives on the line?' Well gosh, weren't there always? Well, they had compiled something, Ikkio gave them that, and she listened to what they had. But it wasn't much. She turned back to Nyx and gave her a little what-did-I-tell-you smirk and opened palms. "Mm, anyway..." she considered Nyx for a moment, "How would you feel about ditching this place? Causing some trouble?" Clearly, they'd find out more on their own, and things were very... unfestive... Besides, he'd just said to get a 'buddy', so that was what she was doing, wasn't she? See? She was listening?

Tsallin Post 5
Tsallin was worried but also grateful that he had Ruulu with him, whoever it was wouldn't take them both he was sure. he was far too young to fight at the moment but that was okay, he would come in handy as a small spy. he had the genetics for it, the quiet personality and a size he might as well make use of while he had it.
"Ruulu what are we going to do?"
He was inseparable from her at this moment and the thought of what would happen after whatever was going to happen disturbed him greatly. He would return to Oba and she back to the jungle from wence she had come. She was his best friend besides his brother and he didn't want to be too far away ever. He was one of those younglings that really appreciated a good friendship once he had one.

Ruulu Post 5
Ruulu now as the older, therefore more responsible one, was trying not to freak out too much. She had to make sure that Tsallin made it through whatever was supposed to come. He was her responsibility right now and she had no concrete answers for him. She was glad that they were so close in age, this would have been more difficult with a younger youngling.
"I'm not sure at the moment, if only they would give us more information, there has to be a trend somewhere that no one is seeing, nothing is truly random after all."
She twirled a lock of hair around her finger nervously. There had to be some sort of clue out there.

Post 4 Borra's attention was drawn away from the shifter he was speaking to, as Enki shouted it made the poor man recoil in worry. What was Enki trying to do? Although he now had the crowds attention it was a terrible way to keep the people calm. Borra wished to play on his lute, to keep his hands busy..instead he put his hand behind his back and tried to think.
People were going missing, not just missing but vanishing and leaving no trace. What could that mean? He now regretting quite a bit for coming by himself...and he was sure to get a lecture from the rest of the troupe when he got back to reveal this new information. It didn't sound like they had any idea of what was causing the disappearances... or if they knew they were keeping it hush for the moment.

Nyxamora | 4 |The sudden and very directed outburst from Enki made Nyx’s posture stiffen out of surprise, mouth making an arrow-straight line on her face. She wasn’t used to getting bellowed at in that manner, her aunt and uncle being more steady-headed people. And from a complete stranger at that. It shut her up for a moment, and with a skeptical reluctance she listened to what they had to say, the information they had gathered everyone for.
And just like that whatever hesitant “respect” they’d temporarily earned from her was scooped up and deposited somewhere else, as it turned out they had absolutely nothing of any worth to contribute. Yeah some people had gone missing, she was aware of that, everyone knew that. It was no big deal, people wander off all the time looking for grander things or chances to make their own fortunes, see the world. Something she was very tempted herself to do.
This was just a stupid meeting that they’d wasted everyone’s time in calling, a performance to reinforce their supposed control of the situation. Which they clearly had none of. They knew just as little as everyone else.
With a soft ‘pppfftt’ of air between her lips, Nyx glanced over at Ikkio and rolled her eyes, wholeheartedly agreeing with the accurate assessment she’d made earlier. This was a pointless meeting. She offered a toothy grin in response to the other girl’s invitation, a tantalizing offer indeed, “That sounds like a hell of a good time, way better than all this nonsense. Can’t go anywhere alone after all, gotta listen to the all-knowing adults and their sound advice.”
Nyx made a subtle sweep of the crowd with her eyes, looking for routes they could take, “So, what do you reckon is the best way to ditch this place? If we just up and leave, do you think someone will try and stop us?”

Jhin - 5
Disappearing into thin air? Jhin's lips pursed into a thin line. He had come here to find out how to fight back or at least get hints of what he should prepare for. Instead they were just telling people to walk in groups and to be more vigilant? It was frustrating to think about.
So instead he glanced towards the Matori once more, "What do you think?" He asked with slight interest. Why not converse some more? It would help ease his own frustrations at this situation. If anything Jhin knew he would be even more vigilant when walking the woods...
