"Sounds like words you've heard more times than you can count." he said plainly as they finally reached the edge of the city. "I recommend following me from cover... I can't really be quiet and hide with my exo-suit, so its better I act as a bait for any that might try shooting at us." he advised as he turned and looked at her. "How's your arm holding up? I have another few doses of that pain neutralizer if you need it." He was happy to offer help to her. In fact he was happy that she was still alive and able to fight next to him. It made him feel like they hadn't lost as much. He was sure if he was alone, it would only be a matter of time before he ended up just another nekomian corpse on the ground.

"Well s**t...." She frowned.
"We it was my brother, he never told me those words... I just read his journals....he..."
She shook her head and stopped remembering one of the few reasons her parents had sheltered and coddled her so much. She tore her attention away and as they passed it she ripped a piece of the human engine out.
"We could just fly there you know?...."
She hefted what was now clearly a fuel injector.
"It will burn out your thrusters if we use it the whole way, this sucker is a little too crude for neko tech. But we can make larger jumps with it, and I can jerry rig it into that suit of yours well enough... if I cant then Im sure you can."
She ignored the offer for more medicine. They might have need for it much later on and her pain was pretty hard to deal with but she could tough it out.

Daishu looked around them a bit and at the parts Tenchu presented to him. "Perhaps... there are enough spare parts that I might be able to make a temporary stimulater for my power core or a secondary booster..." He walked a bit closer to where she was standing. "I've got to get out of my suit to do it... So just keep me covered for a moment... Human tech should be pretty easy to figure out." He triggered the releases on his suit, some of the plating opening or moving so that he could exit his exo-suit. Without a helmet, his black hair could be seen. He got behind his suit, and started to mess with the parts they had along with the interfaces on the armor. His ears twitched every now and then as he worked on it.

"Well s**t...." She glanced about but she already knew there was nothing around unless it was fully a machine. There was always background noise on a telepathic level of some sort when there were people about, far more even when people were trying to be sneaky. ESPECIALLY humans. In addition the crashed ship made for excellent cover.
"So... you Council or imperial?... or a merc like me?"

"I belong to an Elite Knights unit back home... but I prefer mercenary work like this..." He paused every now and then as he altered the parts here and there. "I don't like guarding nobleman... Jobs like these I can help people that actually NEED the protection I can offer..." It took a few moments, but he managed to craft a crude but effective attachment to his suit. He walked back around the armor and got into it, letting the plates close back in around him. Once again, the familiar light of his visor brought that same feeling of comfort as before. "I had heard a rumor that something like this might happen here... though its turned a lot uglier than what was estimated..." He stepped over to his Monarch companion and swept her up in his mechanical arms, then lept into the air. The attachment indeed functioned well enough to put them on the roof of a nearby building. Content with the results, he proceeded to leap from building to building as they scouted the area.

"Well s**t...." Still managing a blush every time he picked her up so easily she shut it out of her mind as best as she could.
"I cant fault you for that, Ive had the high life before... I cant stand stuffy obnoxious 'important' people...That is why I am here... even in my young age..."
She braced herself for the landing and grunted at the shifting forces through her wounds.
"...What did you expect?... this is humanity... 100 Trillion and growing...Mindless evil and corrupt. There MIGHT have been some good in them a few thousand years ago back when the council got them to join the war.... but all that is gone. It was a wasted effort and we just brought back the galaxy's biggest threat...."
She sighed while brooding in her thoughts

He stopped on top of one of the building and set her down easily. Once he put her down, he walked a few feet and then hefted one of his hands up, then down as he let himself drop, driving his fist through the roofing. He gripped parts of it, pulling and tearing until there was a sizable enough hole for him to get through."Wait here a second..." he said before jumping down into the building. After a bit of rummaging for a few moments, he lept back out through the hole, landing near her. He held a few bags worth of food for the two of them and he held one of the bags out to her. "Lets take a minute and eat while its still quiet... don't want to run into those humans when we're hungry." he said easily to her.

She smiled happily taking a good enough portion of food and eating slowly.
"So... I think our orders were something along the lines of mopping up the smaller pockets of humans and then moving into the larger cities. I think we were supposed to set up some beacons to help evac any civilians we find... but looking at the sate of this place Id say it is a wasted effort... Humans are very thorough..."
She grit her teeth feeling the disgust at the mere thought of them.

Daishu got out of his suit again, sitting at it's feet and starting to eat. "Like I said, if not for you I might not have survived all that. I didn't see those snipers coming and if you hadn't said something that fist shot would have went straight through my visor..." His bright eyes looked around constantly. His eyes were taking in the streets, the buildings... everything that had been damaged by the humans.
"There's one thing we have to try..." he said with a determined tone in his voice when she brought up the civilians. His mind flashed with how busy the streets would look, and how eerie they were in desolated silence like this. "They haven't left yet... Meaning they aren't done... They must have made a temporary base of operations... We need to assess the situation and then get a report out since or predicament has changed severely from its estimated course..." He wasn't one of the higher ranking knights for nother after all. And he couldn't shake the feeling something was more wrong than one would guess here.

She nibbled a little more and sat back content with the food.
"If you are right... if there IS something dangerous then that means this is not a marauder raid...or perhaps its both marauders and the human empire. Either way, you are right we need to find where these fools are operating from, though most likely it will be in one of those party barges...or something higher up. We have two choices though, we either need to go find a base of operations for the humans.... or the Neko..."
She stood up drawing her pistol again.
"Shall we?"

Finishing his food, he stood and nodded in response to her question. "Right now we're in pretty bad shape... We don't have any intel to lead us in the right direction..." He got into the suit and sighed as he took a few steps to her and offered his arms to pick her up. "Any ideas on our best chance? What about that psychic thing of your's?" He tilted his head a bit as he thought about it. "Maybe you can track them down by their thoughts..."

"Well s**t...." She stepped up helping him help her up. She was starting to be thankful she was short for a member of the monarchy.
"Well... Humans always tend to purge worlds east to west, Signifying their home system's rising and falling sun....I suggest we go from major settlement to major settlement until we find whatever comes first. Also there is bound to be downed fighters or dropships around here. Something we can get back into the air. If we travel low enough we will stay under the radar and I can just meditate in the back searching for friendly minds. or unfriendly."
She looked to the west and pointed at what looked to be a larger city burning in the distance.

Once he was sure she was settled into a good position, he jumped into the air and headed towards the direction she had pointed. "Something about this... It unsettles me..." He said as he carried her. "I just hope we can help any survivors in time..." His eyes watched the displays on his visor with intent eyes. Tenchu was right, if they could find a transport that can carry them, they would be in much better shape.

"The party barge is in that city... its not moving either. Its likely they found civilians all gathered up in the bunkers... we dont have long...."

"That's not good..." he boosted up onto a higher up building and looked at the ship hanging in the air. "If we attack them... we might be able to distract them long enough for the other Nekos to run... " he started flatly. "But conversly, neither of us have the ammo supply for a large encounter..." He mentally argued with himself. He couldn't leave his people to die or suffer an even worse fate by the hands of humans, but would engaging a mission that was likely suicide really a good idea? He growled a bit with irritation at his muddled thoughts. "Tenchu... could you still snipe with that arm and is this a good vantage point for you?"
