"I'm sorry. My teacher decided to humiliate me in class. basically saying I was weak...saying I might not even amount to anything.." she wiped her eyes and let out a sigh. After they were released from their master's skirts, the soot-looking monsters scattered out throughout the school. They enjoyed dark areas, which is why they hid in the walls, but when a few of them heard a girl crying they fazed through the plaster and into the beautiful area of the Underground Plaza.
Squeaking and quibbling, they swarmed around Sami with so much speed it would have made the girl almost lose her balance. They looked harmless enough, but as they started to make their way closer and closer to Sami's mouth, it seemed precarious!
They seemed to be trying to shove themselves inside her mouth, trying with their little hands to hold open her lips to dive bomb inside, but in their own confusion and stupidity, it really wasn't working out for them!
"Candy! Candy!" They chanted as they tried yet again to open her mouth. Moving onward to the three others in the area to do the same.

[Anna Marlowe] a n i m a l Anna sighed deeply, lifting a hand just inches off her lap and then stopping in place before closing it and putting it back on her lap. "W..well..that's unfortunate. But you're here for a reason. I wouldn't take it to heart..you came here to learn and improve, right? so-" Suddenly small black fuzz-monsters surged onto Sami. "Hey!" She yelled, standing up and jumping back, knocking over her violin case in effect. Thinking quickly, it wouldn't work to use her claws to try to repel the things- they might hurt the other student- so there wasn't much she could- suddenly they also started to swarm over her and tried to open her mouth, like what happened to Sami. "Ugh!-" She snapped her mouth shut just before one could try to jump in. She tried to shake them off or brush them away but then some jumped off to move onto someone else. Candy?? she thought, still trying to brush some off her mouth. As much as the idea of changing entertained her, it'd probably be easier for her to be bombarded in that form, so she dismissed it. b i r d o f p r e y

"GA-RRGHH" she was about to say something but as they were heading directly for her MOUTH, she opted to NOT! She focused and the cracking sound in her legs were heard, and the girl stood up effortlessly. She started to try and shake them off, kicking and punching to swat them away. Her glare was focused and she didn't open her mouth. She shook her head violently to get them away from her. When Anna snapped her mouth shut, one of the little soot's hands were chomped with it, making the thing fall to the floor and explode! The other little ones still holding on began to chant the word candy again, this time trying even harder to get into the girl's mouth so they could also be chomped. They had no concept of the girl wishing to kill them all, though they did feel her thoughts in the rudimentary way they perceived information and emotions; but nevertheless they tried harder. It wasn't like they were conjured to help people along with their rainbows and butterflies; they were made to be a nuisance and a nuisance they will be!
Then again, the secondary flock of them swarming Sami had already achieved their task in record time! As the girl seemed to be getting agitated, annoyed even, the small sprites almost screamed candy as the orange haired girl began swatting and punching them. Almost instantly on contact they exploded as well and just as the previous one beside Anna, where once was a small soot thing with eyes and tiny arms, now there was only a small and discarded... piece of candy?
Almost all of the soots around Sami turned into colorful assortments of hard and soft candy as they fell to the ground; no longer appearing as anything but the lifeless bits of sweetness they were. Gone were the eyes, the chants, and the spindly arms, and all around her was a plethora of color. Some soots remained intact however, and continued to try to latch onto her mouth and open it. Willing themselves to be eaten so they may turn into delicious candy! Now it could have been asked how something conjured by spirits living in the attic of Tokubetsu could turn into physical matter, but that was a question for another time. All that mattered was to taste the delicious flavor of the spirits!

[Anna Marlowe] a n i m a l In shock, Anna watched one explode and took another step back, wiping enough off her face to cover her mouth with one hand in the second they were gone- and then she saw a bunch turn into actual candy. What the hell is this? she thought, still frustrated there wasn't much she could do. Although it seemed at this point they were just trying to throw candy into everyone's mouths, she didn't like the idea much. Nothing against candy, just the idea that some strange things that smelled like soot were trying to force the candy on her. "Are you ok??" She tried to ask Sami through her hand, clamped around her mouth as tight as possible. Now she walked slowly back towards Sami and tried to pick some off herself, now pinching the ones that were successfully grabbed hard to try to make them revert. She didn't want to try to physically help Sami yet, because now the girl was standing and she didn't want to find out the hard way what she'd be capable of. Why'd she need crutches if she could w- oh. That was probably it. She pieced together. Still there'd probably be something to learn here at Tokubetsu- maybe someday the other girl probably wouldn't even need- Her thoughts whipped back to the present as another soot tried to wiggle itself between her fingers around her mouth and she clamped it tighter, blowing at her hand in a possibly futile effort to get the thing away from her. She panted as she looked around at the little candies around her. She grimaced and looked around for anymore left. "Y-yeah...I'm good..." right as she said that, another loud crack was heard from her legs, and Sami fell on her butt, surrounded by these soot candies. She sighed and reached for her crutches, grabbing them. "Just wasn't expecting to be attacked by...sweets I guess?"she let out a weak laugh and stood herself up, taking the time to adjust herself. "Why did you stop using your..ability? You could walk fine that way" She asked, not considering that it might hurt the other girl's feelings. "Glad that ordeal's over with, anyhow." She said casually, walking the few steps forward to grab her violin case once more and dusting off the bottom with her hand before letting it fall to her side, arm at rest. [Anna Marlowe] a n i m a l Anna's eyebrows went up in interest over the thought. It made sense. She turned on her heel and plucked a candy off the ground, rolling it between her fingers. "Candy, I'd presume." She flicked it away. Accidentally, it went right past Sami and smacked a tree trunk. She whirled back around and opened her mouth, then closed it again just as quickly and bit her cheek. Before she really registered any part of the small pain that shot through or the slight ache now in her cheek, she huffed. "I-I'd better get going. It was nice talking to you." Actually it the tree, but she saw it, she took it and began to consume it. She looked over to Sami, her eyes somewhat glazed over. "What?" she asked before standing up again.

Under the bright crystalline domed ceiling, a tall and rather skinny individual casually made his way throughout the underground garden yawning as he went on. He carried an elephant-shaped watering can giving the various plants plenty of hydration as he went on. He hummed a relaxing and carefree tune which contrasted heavily with his almost otherworldly appearance. Most who knew him, knew him as the school's groundskeeper, Mr. Ainsworth, as he went about completing the odds and ends that the school needed. For those who did not know him, his appearance was often met with equal parts concern and intrigue.
As he went about covering more and more of the garden, he slowed to almost a crawl until he eventually came to a stop, his watering can now mindlessly being emptied on the ground in front of him and on his shoes as his head tilted down and his body became almost too relaxed before slumping over in an almost comical manner before sitting down on a nearby bench with his body hunched over. Anyone watching could practically see the *Zzzzz's* coming out of him. This was rather normal as Ellias was often fond of his "breaks".
