[Xela the Vampire]

OOC: Fae is so intuitive.

Erik snorted a little, then realized he did and laughed afterwards. "No...I was never like that..I was the kid who didn't want to be here but my parents forced me to..I had a small interest in it's goal, but I liked having my parents off my back.." He kept his eyes on her as she moved around a bit. "Why? Were you that same girl?"

OOC: She has to be if she wants to survive in this world. Rely on brains, not brawn.

Fae smiled softly. Hit the nail right on the head, she thought with a satisfied nod. "Well... not exactly..." She lightly touched her chin as she thought for a moment. "I was more like...that person that no one ever saw or heard of. Being her on scholarships, I had to show just how dedicated I was to upholding my studies... So I spent most of my first year away from the crowds and locked up in the study hall, library, or dorm room when not in class. If I had to talk to anyone, which was rare, I would keep it short and was often asked to repeat myself on account of being so soft spoken." She smiled awkwardly and shifted a little. "I guess... it really helped me to make a friend. I was able to open up a little."

Erik watched her keep still as she described how she was, It was real easy to imagine that Fae with the way she was holding herself in that moment. When she reached the end, he smirked and lowered his head a little before looking back up at her. "Good to know you find you can open up to me.." He raised his eyebrow with a smirk. "Or am I not this friend you're talking about?" He chuckled, teasing her.

"Do you ever see me talking with anyone else on a regular basis?" Fae teased back. She set some more books in their proper place, because she still had a job to finish up. Try as he might, Erik would not stop her from doing that. She then decided to take the playfulness a bit further to see how he would respond. She glanced back at him from the corner of her eye. "Is that a hint of jealousy I detect in your voice? My, my, Erik... I didn't take you for the jealous type."

Erik smirked, watching her continue with her job. He heard her question and chuckled to himself, thinking of an answer to her question. He opened his mouth to say it, until he heard her speak again. He laughed a little at the last one and raised his eyebrow. "I see you talking with plenty of other people..So what if there's a little bit of jealousy in my voice.." He crossed his arms and smirked at her. "I can be when need be.."

"Well, granted my job has forced me to talk to people I would never consider approaching in the first place." Fae said as she placed the last of the books away. She sighed and stretched, trying to loosen up after the repetitive work. She was glad she was able to finish everything just in time, even with the distraction that was Erik. She would have to attend classes soon and planned on taking the time after that to rest up. "And there is no need for you to squander your jealousy, for not a single soul has laid a lustful gaze upon me." Fae smiled more awkwardly than she wanted to, feeling as if she had relayed a line from a novel. Her intentions was to keep the mood as lighthearted as possible before she had to part ways with her companion.

Erik watched as she finished up, figuring she had finished her duties for the day. His eyes watched her stretch a little while he kept his arms crossed, chuckling when she said the second line. "Really? I highly doubt that because you, my dear, seem to be a bit blind to that type of audience." He looked around to see if he could see anyone else, forgetting they were alone momentarily. "I'll have to prove my point the next time we're in a crowded area. You're something to look at Fae, and I mean that in a good way." He hadn't looked back her way yet, knowing he'd probably make her blush from the comment alone. "So as your friend, it's my duty to protect such a beauty." He chuckled a little and finally looked back at her.

Much like Erik had expected, Fae blushed at his words. He thinks... I'm beautiful? She then shut her eyes tight and shook her head, seeming to get even more flustered. Stop it, Fae! Can you not see he is using his demonic charm to win over your heart? How dare you get ensnared in such an obvious trap! When she opened her eyes again, the younger girl noted he was now staring at her. She gasped softly before clasping a hand to her mouth. "T-t-t-thank you... although I can take care of myself." She managed to squeak out, embarrassed for becoming so awkward over an innocent comment.

When Erik had turned to look at her, he couldn't help but smirk as he noticed she had gasped and even fell into a slight stutter. "You're welcome..And I'm sure you can..But it doesn't hurt to have back up, right?" He smirked and shrugged. "Anyways..You're done here right..? Off to class?"

Fae simply nodded to answer all of his questions. She turned around, rather graciously despite her awkward demeanor, and rushed over to one of the rooms behind the check out desk. When she reemerged, she looked to have calmed down significantly, although her fingers kneaded the strap of her satchel in a nervous manner. "It was a pleasure talking with you, Erik." She spoke in a soft tone as she smiled warmly at her companion. "Maybe we can do it again another time." And with that, she made her way out of the library.

Erik smirked and watched her walk off, grabbing his own items and looking up at her once she spoke to him again. "Alright, Fae..See you later." He watched her leave before he went ahead and made his own exit out of the library.

The next night, Fae was siting at the front desk, her head propped up with her hands. She had a rather bored expression for it was yet another slow day. She could easily count the number of all the current occupants on her hand. It seemed that some people still enjoyed coming to the library to read, rather than sitting at their dorm room to browse the internet for digital copies. She allowed her head to drop into her arms and sighed softly, figuring she would rest her eyes for a bit until someone needed her assistance.

Erik had been walking towards his dorm room when he decided he would turn back and head towards the library. Once there, he walked in and smirked as he found her. Slowly and quietly he moved towards her before he very lightly scratched the exposed part of her neck to make her shiver.

Fae indeed shiver with Erik's touch but other than that, she did not move from her spot. "That had better be your, Erik..." She muttered softly. "Or else you're asking to experience what a real magic user is capable of." Of course, her words were mostly an empty threat; she was more curious if that would be enough for Erik to confess what he did.
