Aruna looked at him with a stict look when he interupted her in such rude way. She raised an eyebrow to him when he expressed his apologies and informed that drawing attention herself wasn't a good thing to do right now. She let him speak first, but she seemed satisfied that he accepted to get her back to her castle but for some reason he seemed worried. That wasn't good. It seemed the neighbor she had chose was not of high prestige..well it was not her fault she got lost. It seemed her dresscode hadn't worked either. She could ask him to help her dress next time more appropriately, although she coudn't understand why diamonds would provoke others..it wasn't as if they were big ones! She raised her small purse decorated with swarovski. It was the cheapest she got "i have this one" she said and removed her earings bracelets , watch and necklace, stuffing it in there then closed it "i had another one decorated with pink diamonds, but it wouldn't fit the outfit and i thought the ones with the big diamonds would be binding me under the sulight, so i got this one. Don't look at it, it's very poor" she said to the guy. She seemed to have a different opinion on what was poor than other normal people i haven't been here for long, i was at a park first then i found myself here... this place does't make good choocolate muffins. They use low quality chocolate " she admitted, sharing her experience with him. After all, all these were a new thing for her. Even the bad guys were a new experience for her.
She got angry when Nic told her she shouldn't say she is the princess "i won't tolerate kidnappers in my kingdom. I will express my disliking to my father and he will do something about it, certaintly. Same goes to thieves too, like the ones we encountered a few minutes ago. All criminals must be punished. This neighborhood needs kids laughing and playing, not criminals searching for their next victim. It is simply unacceptable" she frowned, not knowing that if she did this she would probably doom her savior as welll. Not even for once did she wondered how he maaged to live in this neighbohood if he wasn't a thief himself.
Turning back to him she moved her purse so she would be holding it tight in case someone wanted to grab "so now we need to go back to the castle. I was ready to head to the beach, i remember i could see the sea from my window, so i was hoping that if i reached the sea and walked staight i would see the castle from a distance....is it too far away?" she asked him trying to think of solutions to make their trip easier. She then seemed excited "i''m definitely doing this again! i want to explore the kingdom further! " (that's ok and my apologies for the length) The domineering ❝ XIt's time to see what I can do,
to test the limits and break through.

Nae cocked her head to the side a bit. "Well, it's not as if I couldn't have walked here. And I surely did not expect you to pick me up and..." He started to half-run the closer they got to the house.
"What the hell do you think you're doing!" She shouted, they weren't slowing down as he approached the house. Then he was freaking out.
Wait. Really? Okay. So, that meant this was really possible. She could bleed out! She needed bandages... And all that other aid stuff she read about.
Then Richard grabbed her foot, she thought he was checking her out to be sure she was okay, but no. Instead, he did something she had never felt or heard of before.
He tickled her.
Nae burst out into a short period of laughter, wiggling away from him as he went to the door to open it.
"What was that!"
Kanae looked horrified. "You can't just, what did you even do!" She stumbled to her feet, favoring her right injured one as Richard got the door to open. She waved him inside, following behind him. She made her way to the bathroom to find the stuff she needed, hobbling along. "Richard, I'm not joking. I really need to know what you did to me. That was not normal. It felt weird and it made me laugh." It freaked her out way too much to worry about the fact that tickling could be perfectly normal to humans. She was legitimately concerned and curious. She could think of a way out of the explanation later.
"Also, could you help me in here? I'm not really sure what to do." She had a bunch of ointments and band aids lining the sink by the time he made his way to her. She was sitting on the edge of the long mirrored counter with her leg propped up in front of the actual sink. Dried blood lined her foot, she pouted. "This is gross."
I've been so wrapped up in my warm cocoon.,
But somethings happening things are changing soon. I'm pushing the edge..
Feeling it crack and once I get out,There's no turning b a c k,
Watching the butterfly go towards the sun...

But I sure know where I've been Tho' I keep searching for an answer,

Going down the only road I've ever known Nicolae XXXXXX~*~XXXXXX 'Nic' XXXXXX~*~XXXXXX BadiXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX  Too many people stepping over me
 Nic definitely felt like he was toeing some kind of line with the Princess right now, even though he was just trying to help her by informing her of how things needed to be around here.
But she was stubborn. And well, royalty. There wasn't much he could do if she wouldn't listen.
Hey, but at least she was putting her jewelry away... in... a bag that was just as fancy as the rest.... but hey at least that was one thing, compared to several things that were visible.
Nic instantly averted his eyes from the bag when Princess Aruna told him not to look, then realized how silly that was.
"It's nicer than any purse I've ever had" Nic said, trying at a bit of a joke as he obviously had never had a purse of any kind in his life.
And then she was complaining about the quality of chocolate muffins next..... wow. Alright then.
What Nic hadn't expected however, was such a response to him suggesting she not tell people she is the princess, going on about criminals and kidnappers. She wouldn't exactly be able to tell her father anything if they murdered her first.
Nic opened his mouth to tell her that didn't make sense, and then stopped. Yeah... maybe not the best idea. But she was seriously trying to complicate things. Okay. He just needed to get her back to the castle in one piece and everything would be fine!
But at the same time he really needed her to not go blabbing about the princess thing AT LEAST until they were out of this neighborhood.
"Yes. Yes of course. You're right. Things are definitely out of control around here and I have no doubt that you will be able to change that now that you have seen it for yourself. But we need to get you home without getting kidnapped or worse first." Nic finally said after thinking carefully first. He really hoped that was polite and kiss-a** enough to keep her happy but still get his point across.
Everything should be fine just as long as she doesn't realize he technically counted as one of the criminals she spoke of, even if he was small time.
Once things seemed mostly settled with the jewelry and things, Nic started for the door.
"Do you want me to take you to the beach first? We can head toward the beach and take the shoreline the rest of the way to the castle. That might be safer than going through the city actually." If they headed straight toward the beach instead of angling toward the castle, they would get out of this bad area faster. Not that that part of the beach was very nice compared to the view the Princess must be used to, but it should do. She wanted to see it after all right?
Almost as soon as Nic stepped out of the door into the street, Abu swung down onto his shoulder, chattering at him and held out his hand by Nic's face.
"Abu! What do you have?" Nic put out his hand and Abu dropped what looked like pieces of a chocolate muffin into it. They were still slightly warm.
"Ah man, were you going through the trash again Abu, here all yours buddy." He said, laughing as he put his hand back toward Abu who snatched the pieces up and stuffed his face.
In reality, Nic assumed he had swiped it from the stall outside of the bakery nearby, eaten most of it, and then saved that bit for Nic, but The Princess did NOT need to know that.
"Speaking of chocolate muffins" he said, directing that toward Aruna with another little laugh, "Abu has a serious sweet tooth." The only thing that's been on my mind

As if Richard wasn't amused enough already, it got way better when he tickled Nae's foot.
Of course he had thought it would be funny from the start, tickling girls in general usually was with varying degrees of hilariousness. Some jumped, some squeaked, some screamed, yelled, and of course laughed. And the foot was one of the most sensitive spots of all, also varying with how often the girl had gone barefoot throughout her life.
Nae's foot had felt as soft as one would expect of a princess or noble woman that had never gone barefoot in her life, or walked much in general really.
Richard was leaning against the doorway, cracking up laughing way too hard to answer Nae's questions. He made himself go through into the house, chest still racking from the laughter. He took one more look at Nae when she asked the same question even more seriously than before and couldn't keep a straight face, breaking into laughter again.
Finally getting himself together, Richard made his way into the bathroom, still grinning in a way that seemed to contain more laughter.
He leaned against the door frame, looking down at her foot and everything she had out.
She had quite a bit out... rows of band aids, ointments, and creams, all lined up like she had no idea what she needed.
Did they... not have much... where she was from?
Of course, things like this had been handled for Richard often enough throughout his life, but as a boy, and a crazy one at that, he had had to learn how to handle things himself... especially if he wanted to stay out doing whatever he was doing after getting hurt, especially after getting a nasty a** infection one time...
"Alright. You want to know what I did?" Richard asked, straight faced now, appearing to finally take her seriously.
"I tickled your foot." He stood up straight and crossed the space in one stride, hands snaking around her arms and wiggled his fingers into both sides of her ribs, making sure he didn't jab too hard.
He couldn't help it... he had to see if she was that ticklish everywhere.
'Cause I took that s**t out.

Nae cocked her head to the side, carefully looking him over. Tickled. She didn't know that word. What was tickle?
Though, she didn't have a chance to ask because Richard was closing the space between them. Her breath hitched, caught in her throat. Then he reached around her... and wiggled his fingers into her ribs. Kanae lost it.
She was cackling so hard she nearly cried, attempting to push away his hands, she begged him to quit. But she just couldn't seem to stop laughing. The feeling was so strange. Nothing felt this way to people underwater.
Which, hardly made sense. But people didn't just go around tickling random strangers either! Especially injured ones. Hello! Had he forgotten she's bleeding out?!
"Stop! Stop! OH MY!" Nae finally got him to knock it off, she breathed harder now. "What... why. Why would you do that to someone!?" She pointed at her foot. "We have an issue here. Bleeding. Out. It's a problem. I read it on the... on the..." s**t. What was the word? "The computer!" She exclaimed.
"Now, you can explain this tickling thing to me later. Right now I need assistance with my toe." The princess was coming out. Apparently she had claws.
Nae only just now realized it of course. Her eyes went wide, eyebrows raised, as she stuttered. "I... Er. I mean. Of course I know what tickling is... Because its totally normal. But I'm... just, really uh, ticklish? And its embarrassing." Yeah. Right. That totally covered up the fact that she sounded like a lunatic. s**t. She was messing up. Bad. She needed to get her fuzzy little head on straight if she wasn't going to screw this up day one.

Richard had wanted to see just how ticklish Kanae was in general, in case it was just her sensitive feet... but he was not disappointed.
The results... were glorious.
As he tickled her, Richard's face was in the hugest open mouthed grin, his own laughter at Nae rumbling through his chest.
Her feeble attempts at getting him to stop didn't even get him to budge.
Finally, Richard cut off all of a sudden, letting his hands seem as if smacked away one of the times she tried to make him stop, but he was still laughing.
Why would he do that to someone she asked?
"Because it's hilarious." he responded as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Nae tried to bring his attention back to her foot and it's apparent dire need. She was totally serious, wasn't she? Strange girl.
"Mhm. Right." Richard said as she mentioned her bleeding out situation again, standing back only a foot or so, arms crossed, putting his biceps partially on close display.
"Oh I can, can I?" he asked, still clearly very amused over what had just happened. At least the prince wasn't a**l about how he was talked to AS LONG AS he was in a good mood - and liked whoever was doing it.
"First of all. Calm down girl. You're not going to bleed out. I was ******** with you. I can't believe you thought I was serious." he added the last part with a chuckle.
"You just need to clean it out and cover it up to avoid infection. Let me see."
He looked around at what she had out... and then did further searching.
"Ah. Peroxide. So this will sting and maybe bubble up. That's a good thing." he said, took the cap off, and then poured some on the injured part of her toe without waiting to see if she was ready, and then looked around for a cloth or something like that.
'Cause I took that s**t out.

Nae rolled her eyes at Richard. "I know that when you cut yourself, you bleed. If you continue to bleed you will die. I'm no fool Princey." She chuckled softly, ******** with her? Like she didn't know these things on her own! She did research. Facts. Come on.
How dumb were these girls on land anyways?
"Clean it and cover it then!" She bit her lip again. s**t. She really needed to get a handle on her mouth.
As princess, even an adventurous one, she was kept from harm. The waters may be a dangerous place, but not for the princess of them. No harm was done to her. She hardly understood pain, not in a human way at least. If she knocked into something while swimming it hurt, but for some reason up here everything just felt different.
Or maybe she was just dramatic. Whatever.
"So, I have one shoe. That's not cool." She sighed, rolling her eyes. She thought she had a handle on this walking thing, clearly she did not. In the water she was graceful, not a clumsy girl.
Keeping her mouth under control was not going to be easy because he then said something about stinging and proceeded to dump some liquid onto her toe. Which hurt. Really badly. "s**t! OW!" Nae's eyes went wide. "What are you doing!" He turned away to look for something else just as she noticed her toes and parts of her foot start to turn purple... Her heart raced. s**t. Apparently that stuff had water in it...
Nae jumped off the counter, pushing Richard off balance during her escape. She ran out of the bathroom and ducked into the nearest bedroom down the hall. Slamming the door behind her, she sat down on the floor in front of it. <********. ********. ********> She cursed, waving her hands on her foot to dry it. Now what? He was going to think she was absolutely insane now... She ran away and it hadn't even hurt that badly. How did she explain this one?
Sorry I ran away like that my scales were growing back and you can't see that I'm a mermaid because we don't exist.

Richard just shook his head, still grinning, as Nae insisted she had been in danger of bleeding out.
And some people called him dramatic?
"Well miss princess" Richard said, clearly using the title as a jab at her princess-like attitude that was surfacing, with the added irony of him actually being a prince, "If you can't walk in one shoe, I can still carry you." he wasn't really thinking about how "devastating" it could be to lose a shoe for the shoe itself. Although he did like his Doc Martens. But he trashed those all the time. And yet he always had a nice pair around. Magic?
Yeah. He didn't mind carrying her though....
Once he dumped some of the peroxide onto Nae's foot she jumped and screamed, "Told you it would sting" he chuckled, scooping up the band aids after capping the peroxide and setting it down.
Hmm, it was her toe so no big ones, but the tiny patches wouldn't work either. He could probably wrap the typical size around, though it might not be too comfortable....
Bam.
In a flash, he was shoved aside, catching himself on the wall, and Nae was gone.
"What the ********?" he muttered in surprise just as a door slammed.
Richard stood there for a second trying to figure out what the hell just happened, but it didn't make any sense.
"Weird girl." he said to himself and started out of the bathroom, two of the chosen band aids still in hand, in case the first one didn't get put on right... toes weren't the easiest thing to properly put a band aid on.
Standing outside of the door Richard figured she had gone into, he knocked. "Uuuh Nae? You okay? What happened?"
Yeah, he really wasn't sure what to do here.....

Kanae sat with her back against the door for another minute or so, a couple really long minutes. She was not okay. Or really, she was. There wasn't enough water to actually make the transformation stick. Plus she was still wearing the necklace. So, she was fine.
But she didn't know what to say happened. She freaked out and ran away. She couldn't explain it.
There was no explaining it.
Nae stood up, straitened out her clothes, and took a deep breath. She opened the door, leaned against the frame, and smiled. "Yeah, sorry. I'm fine. Did you find the right size bandage? I don't want that infection you were talking about." She led the way back to the bathroom, put away the peroxide, and sat back on the sink.
Be careful. Be normal. This was just not going to be easy...
"You said you'd carry me the whole way back? Am I really that light, I mean jeez!" She chuckled. Yep. Just pretend pretend pretend everything was normal. That's it.
"Maybe we could rummage the kitchen for some more wine or something? I think mines wore off and I'm simply not ready to return to the palace yet. I ruined our fun, I should make it up to you."
Nae smiled, letting him finish up her bandage.

Minutes way by before Nae opened the door, strolling out and back into the bathroom as if she hadn't just freaked out for no reason saying she was fine.
Okay....
Richard followed her in, "Yeah, these should work. Just one probably." he said, showing her the band aids in his hand.
He stood directly in front of her, set one band aid down, and started stripping the wrapper pieces off of the other.
Richard laughed when she asked if he could really carry her all the way back to the castle.
"Of course. Especially if you don't mind riding on my back," he shrugged, "I carried a deer over my shoulder one time out hunting, not very far but still. You weigh a lot less than a deer. And probably about the same as my camping back pack." he shrugged again, and then bent down, looking at her toe.
He held the band aid out and wrapped it carefully around her toe, pushing on the edges to keep it from getting torn off too easily.
Richard patted her foot, "All better." And then looked around... where had he left the wine? Corner of the counter.
"Let's finish this first." he grabbed the bottle and took a long swig, finishing most of it, but leaving a good couple sips for Nae.
He handed it to her before scooping her up again, and striding out of the bathroom with her in his arms, saying, "Kitchen it is!" proving his point of how light she was.
Richard made his way through the house and found the kitchen and set her down on the counter. He began rummaging through the drawers and cupboards quickly. Unless it was in the fridge... Not even bothering to ask if she knew where it was, despite her clearly knowing this house.
She would make it up to him eh? Of course, it wasn't that simple.... Had Richard been younger, and not necessarily much younger... he wouldn't have had the slightest bit of caution.
But he liked Nae, and was not ready to be tied to anyone, including the Princess of Bania. He had not quite forgotten that Nae was Aruna's friend however... and seemed surprisingly innocent sometimes.

Surprisingly, Richard didn't question her at all. Not once. "Oh a deer, huh? That's impressive.." Not that she really knew how heavy a deer was. She hardly even knew what a deer was... at all. Those were an animal, people hunted them... yeah, something. It wasn't very important for her to know the details of specific animals. Other than domesticated ones, cats and dogs, the like. But she knew about those already. She lived under the sea, not under a rock.
Nae squealed once he patted her foot, then suddenly scooped her into his arms. He carried her to the kitchen counter, set her down gently, and began rummaging through the place for the wine.
"I think its under the uh... the..." What had Aruna called that thing that warmed stuff up? Oh... Micro...cooker? Micro... Was it Micro anything?
Crap.
"That thing, but the key has some clear sticky stuff holding it to the top of the..." She was not doing good with kitchen appliance names. "Fridge!" She laughed lightly, playing it off. People were forgetful. It happened.
While he reached up to retrieve the key, she couldn't help but admire the way his muscles defined... when he stretched...
Her cheeks flushed, she glanced away. At least until he bent down to get in the cabinet with the liquor. She couldn't help but indulge a little bit. Plus, it was encouragement. He was hot, that made it super easy to play around and flirt. She could do this, she just felt a little off her game that's all.
"I like the red kind, personally." She offered before scooting herself across the counter to grab the wine glasses from the top shelf of the cabinet above the counter.

Richard glanced up once from his rummaging when Nae started to say something about where it was and then seemed to forget. He went back to it, inching his way over to the fridge, which she eventually suggested.
Well something about a key and the fridge anyway.
Abandoning his cupboards entirely, he went to the fridge and found the key she spoke of.
Now where....
Ah well, perhaps it was the only thing that needed a key in here, duh.
Richard crouched down, unlocking the little door under the microwave and pulled out two bottles of wine. One red, one white.
"Red it is. Both are fine by me" he chuckled. Setting the white down on the table and took the red wine bottle over to Nae at the counter.
He poured wine into both glasses she had out and picked one up.
"Cheers." he said, clinking his glass to hers and then brought the glass to his lips... and finished all of it.
And poured another glass.
"There we go. That's a start. Alright, so now what huh?" he asked, setting the glass down and leaning back against the counter right next to Nae.
Looking around at the house they were in, Richard added, "So what is this place? Is this where you are living or something?"
That actually wouldn't be a bad thing... If she stayed here instead of at the castle. Especially if the Princess returned.
Hey. He was thinking ahead, right?
And this place was still on castle grounds, but more isolated, and just a little off path from the gardens.
If she wasn't living here, then well, that still begs the question as to what it was and.... it could still be useful. As long as someone else wasn't living here...
It was a pretty small house though, as far as Richard was concerned, but then again... he was used to living in a castle.

He poured them glasses, downed his, and refilled. Kanae watched, wide eyed, then giggled. She sipped at hers a couple of times before replying to him. "Yeah, a head start!" She shook her head. Her eyes wandered over him, since he was next to her and couldn't really see her eyes.
"This place?" Nae shrugged, sipping at her drink again. "No, that would be really cool though. I may inquire about that." She said, thoughtfully.
"Aruna never did say who it belonged to. Just said that it was here and I've never seen anyone around here. I mean, it doesn't look lived in ya know? There's just like stashes of random stuff here." She swung her feet back and forth gently, careful not to knock her toe on anything. Just... Having feet and legs was so cool sometimes. She couldn't help but fidget.
"My room is actually one hall down from your... entire hallway." She laughed. "Clearly your presence is more important." She nudged him, drinking a little more.
"I know it's not much. But I like it out here. Easy to get away from everyone. Like I said, never see anyone out here. I think a gardener takes care of the grounds in the early morning occasionally, but that's all." Nae smiled.
"I kind of like it because it's small." The sea was so vast, even with her limited 'allowed' areas. This place was just cute. Homey.

Aruna retreated her gaze from some dresses when he commented on her purse. So he found it nice. Oh well, maybe she not underestimate the wealth of these people like she first thought. Actually she probably thought they were richer that they really were and that made her feel awkward "well...if it wasn't made for girls i would give it to you" she told him truthfully. She loved giving gifts anyways, even if they were stuff she already had. She was just unable to think of the true value of things. To her , tiny diamonds were what for the rest of the people would be crystals. Expensive, yet nothing too valuable. As for big diamonds..yeah these were valuable and pink ones for her were what normal diamonds were for the rest. She just had no idea about the puderty of the other people. She was treating things like no one else would. Like now, she didn't really think that her jewellery were something important. However, she fortunately listened to her new friend's advise and disappeared them out of plain sight.
When Nic, admitted she was right, after she expressed her ideas about the ellimination of criminals from her kingdoms, she seemed pleased. Nic had chose wisely his worse. Like any royal she disliked hearing that she was wrong or that she was exagerating. He managed to keep the good impression she had for him, by being kind enough to her and agreeing with everything. He put her in such a good mood that she didn't hesitate at all to agree with his own statement , about the need of getting home unharmed , before she starts with her kind work about the thieves , kidnappers and killers "i assume you are right. It is vital to get to the castle first. Better start moving then" she tod him and held her purse , before she followed him to the door, glancing at the dresses one last time. She still preferred the ones her tailors were making, just for her.
She couldn't help but chuckle , when she saw Abu having a muffin. Maybe it was the one she threw away a bit before she was chased by those...kidnappers, thieves, whatever they were. She didn't tell Nic that though and let him allow the monkey to have it. At least her muffin, didn't rotten. Of course, she had no idea that Abu probably stole that one, or she would disgrace it , but seeing him stuffing his face with it, made her laugh more. Still, even ehr laugh showed someone of royalty as it was reserved and gentle, very lady like and reminded of many bells ringing together "that is adorable! Abu is really sweet! But maybe he must not eat too much chocolate. There's something in our own chocolate that is poisonous for animals and makes them go blind...i have some chocolate , especially made for animals , back in the palace...i could give you some for him , since he likes it so much!" she offered and looked around So, shall we follow the coastline?" she asked him

Nic laughed when Aruna responded about the purse, not sure if she was joking back with him or oblivious to the fact that he hadn't been serious.
"Well thanks anyway." he said, chuckling.
At the very least it sounded like he had gotten through to her on the danger front, for the most part anyway. That was good, because he didn't want any trouble. He never did, but trouble seemed to find him. Okay, well being a thief could have something to do with that, but still...
"Good. Yes, this part of the beach isn't the nicest either, but it's definitely safer than the city." Hey, maybe she will get the beach cleaned up to after she sees it Nic thought half joking, half serious. Well, after all of her talk about crime and whatnot, who knew?
Now, Nic was not at all surprised that the princess found Abu entertaining. Some girls didn't like monkeys, but most though Abu was adorable. That was something Nic certainly didn't mind. Her laugh was definitely the most amusing though. He didn't understand how it could sound so musical in real life! But apparently yeah, that happened. At least, it did with royalty apparently.
"Aaah yeah, I try to feed him right but he doesn't listen very well sometimes. He's quite the scavenger. But I would appreciate anything you have to offer." yeah, since he didn't have much to begin with.
"We have a little bit of city to go through still, but it's not far to the coastline." Nic informed the princess as they walked along. He was paying close attention to their surroundings, especially the people that passed them by. He did not want to be surprised if something bad did happen and he knew the princess was most likely oblivious, right?
Soon the small streets and alleys dead-ended in dirt and grass. There was a last row of houses that were small, but less shabby than most of the other houses or buildings they had gone passed in this area. Even the ghetto part of the beach had nicer houses than the rest of the area, at least in comparison.
Nic lead Aruna onto a path that would end in sand as it turned into beach.
There was litter along the path, which actually got worse, rather than better, by the time they made it onto the beach.
"Yeah, so, people aren't big about cleaning up around here...." Nic said, stepping over some trash.
There were a few people scattered around the beach, but most would have left as it was getting into late afternoon and the temperature was beginning to drop. By night time it would have even shadier people around, but they would be through the bad part of the beach by then most likely.
Beer bottles, bags, and other trash lay about, some broken. A homeless man was laying on a tattered blanket with a shopping cart and some bags near him, looking passed out drunk.
Still trying to keep an eye on their surroundings, Nic paid close attention to the princess as well, curious about her reaction.
Meanwhile, Abu had switched the shoulder he was perching on, and was now closer to Aruna. He started chittering at her and kept trying to touch her hair, and Nic swatted at his little hands, "Careful buddy" he said to Abu, hoping that hadn't made the princess angry, and not sure if he had managed to yank any of her hair out of the braid or not.
