Mia Chancelor



Mia nodded at Yukiji as in to say "Nice to meet you." A boy started to talk really loudly which reminded her of her family causing Mia to slightly cringe.
"Is he...introducing himself...?"
She watched his ungraceful fall and how Yukiji went over to help him. She looked over to the one guy drawing it.
"People are....interesting..."
She peered down into her tea again before taking yet another sip.

Yukiji arched an eyebrow at Yasu as if to say have you ever met someone without a name? But quickly shrugs that expression off and gives a lazy smile. "Ah, my name is Yukiji--friends?" Try....Stalker And victim... "I don't know if we're really... 'friends' per say, we were getting acquainted with one another just now." Yukiji glanced over her shoulder for confirmation from the girl drinking tea. Come to think of it I don't even know her name. Hearing the boy with honey gold colored eyes speak she turned again to face him. Luke and Yasu.... Got it. They seem relatively comfortable with each other. It would be good if they ended up in the same clan. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well Luke--and Yasu." She said giving a shallow bow. "Are you from the academy as well Luke?" She asked, even though she already knew the answer. There was no way a human with a gear would be so close to the school without being a student.

Yasu rubbed his now read forehead as the girl repeated the word friends and Yasu nodded "Yeah friends... it a word to describe people who care about another, kinda like family but without the being related by blood part to it..." he explained but then remembered that he grew up a foster child all his life "Wait... no I dont think I explained it right, family doesnt really have to be blood related..." he said trailing off before the girl answered his question stating that she would not call the other girl her friend just yet and how the two were just getting to know each other "I really dont get what you mean" Yasu said with a shrug as he noticed Luke telling Yukiji not to listen to him and how he was kind of out of it "Like hell I am, I've never been better" he replied looking back at Luke from over his shoulder before as Yukiji stated it was a pleasure to meet both of them "Yeah, you too!" he replied as he looked over to the girl brown hair and blue eyes who introduced herself as Mia, he waved at her in the distance "Hi Mia, its nice to meet you as well !" he calls out to her greeting the girl

Alright~ Mia, Yasu, and Luke. I think I can remember all of them.... Though I've never really been good with names.... Or faces... Or people in general... Come to think of it why do I have the job of keeping track of all the clans when I can barely keep track of the remote back home? Derailing her train of thought was Yukiji registering Yasu's confusion about the relationship between her and Mia. This boy has got a remarkable amount of energy... Quite friendly too. He'll probably get picked up relatively quickly. With one hand on her hip she ruffled Yasu's hair with the other, hoping that would get his attention long enough for her to explain. "Friends are people you choose to be friends with, I don't know enough about Mia, just as she doesn't know enough about me, to decide to be friends or not." She said simply. Done with what she had to say she took her hand back and turned to Luke who was speaking again. And this one.... He's intelligent. I'll have to be careful he doesn't catch onto anything until he's in a clan and the secret is out. "Different? What were you expecting?" She smiled slightly as if entertaining a private joke. At the mention of clubs her smile evaporated replaced with an unreadable expression. "All the clubs are looking for members..." She said thinking back to her files in the office. Wearing another lazy smile she added "What are you interested in?"

"Drums huh---" Yukiji wondered for a moment if the clans actually did any of the things the club alias were expected to do? Did music club practice music in their free time? Did the writing club actually write anything? Or did the clubs just bicker and fight amongst each other like she'd been warned. Oh~ if he's surprised about the school just wait until he joins a club... "That's interesting, though I've only spoken to you for--" Yukiji glanced at a clock nearby "-- a few minutes, just from looking at you I'd have expected you to be more interested in the violin or the piano." Somehow she just couldn't picture Luke drenched in sweat with some deeply concentrated look on his face as he rocked out on a set of drums. But hey, whatever floats the guy's boat. "I know what you mean about big and pristine, I think I've gotten lost--what-- four times? That sounds about right... But now I keep a map with me everywhere I go and I've been doing a lot better since trying that. And a cafe back home..." She trailed off shaking her head. Cafe's back home were where tourists went to get pick pocketed, end of story. Not that she was going to say that of course, that was the last thing these people needed to hear on their first day in such a different place.

She heard Yasu say something else and was about to clarify when he sped off to the counter, bought a muffin, and was already out the door before another word could be spoken. He escaped... Yukiji thought dumbly. Torn between going after him and keeping tabs on these two she dragged a hand down her face and looking up at the ceiling.And he got my name wrong. Seriously? How many Yukijis do you run into these days? I thought it was a pretty memberable name! She took a deep breath. Forget that, how are you going to look out for him if he's not here?!.... I could send a will-'o-wisp to watch him in my place so I'll know when a clan leader has picked him. Then I can just pop over and make sure the kid doesn't get too hurt for the initiation and leave--- but then there is Luke. My flames aren't exactly the most... Incognito type of magic. He's bound to notice something. Mia too, she's too... Conscious of her surroundings, Yukiji thought grimly, recalling every cringe she'd counted when Yasu had spoken. She's was definitly paying attention to the conversation. Jeez, just let the kid go. Why do you care anyway? You've never cared about strangers before so what's the difference now?.... Good point.... Why do I-- Yukiji glanced back at Mia and felt herself physically pale. The posture, the calm, quiet, thoughtful demeanor. Just like Sakura. Yukiji struggled to keep a mask of mild curiosity on her face as she addressed Mia. "What about you? Interested anything that you might want to join a club for?" How had I not noticed it before? The girl's practically my little sister's twin by soul. That makes sense though, I can't protect her anymore so I'll just look out for other people's kids now. Yukiji was vaguely aware of being disgusted with herself but pushed the thought aside as she waited for Mia's answer. Yasu should be fine for a little while, perhaps he'll annoy me some time before I can catch up with him later she thought recalling how he'd forgotten her name almost immediately.
