NW started to thumb through the book humming along with the tune that was being sung, eventually he found a song in the book that matched the words he was hearing. He soon joined in, after a bit he closed the book and put it on top of the backpack and stood up wandering over to the others and standing near the pae who seemed to look like a bird as he continued to join the crowd.

He'd never expected others to join in when he'd started playing! Now, it seemed that Seiya was leading an impromptu band. More proof that what seemed like a random decision to do something that didn't matter really did have a purpose. Smiling warmly, he paused only to turn the page of the songbook before continuing to play.
Humming along with the tune at first, he took a lead from the brightly-colored, feathered teenager, adding his voice to the mix, another strain to the overall harmony. The more voices that joined in, the more it started to sound like an actual song...and not just a bored Fae plucking at the strings on a toy ukulele to pass the time.
He shot a smile and a nod to the Pae nearby who hadn't joined in yet, the invitation clear. His drink sat forgotten beside him, as likely the whole reason for even being here had been. He simply followed where he was led, and this time, he'd been led to a group of welcoming Pae, amusing little bearded Fairies, and good times. Who said there needed to be more than that?

"Well he was a little gruff to you." She frowned, shrugging it off. Maybe it was because Dame did look like a weakling. She knew him when he wasn't though. The thought made her smile. He used to be as buff as these tiny fairies. Used to.
"Maybe it's because you're held to a higher standard since your male?" She shrugged, not really sure. The fairies were mostly male from what she could tell. Then again, Starry wasn't sure how to tell apart the fairies. "Or because I'm pretty." The demon laughed, slipping on her pack. Dame was going to have a hell of a trip, and Starry was going to enjoy it. If the pae gathered around them right now, it was certainly going to be interesting. But for now, she'd be nice. Dame had wanted to go on a date. Just the two of them. She wanted it too. No kids, no worries, just the two of them and fun.
"At least you didn't get a song book." She offered, feeling bad about his beginners guide.

When he was in his prime, this would have been cake. But he still remembered. Muscle loss or no, he wasn't a pae to underestimate. "I'll agree on the pretty note. It's hard to give a beautiful girl a rough time." He did feel rather foolish though. The slippery male tried to push it out of his mind and look on the positives. "Hey, maybe I'll actually learn something from it?" Dameon joked, flipping through the pages idly. Perhaps he should kick up his training a notch. Ask his brother Raken to help...Knowing him, the demon was probably already far ahead of him in terms of regaining muscle.

"You know, you wouldn't be so scrawny if you helped your son and daughter hunt once in a while." She offered, peering over his shoulder. Starry knew something had been eating at him. Even if it wasn't his lack of muscle tone. She was more or less just poking at what she thought was the issue. While she had known him as well as she knew herself at one point, Starry wasn't really sure who he was anymore.
"Do you think the kids are going to be alright without us?" She asked, suddenly worried about their kids. Mentioning them brought the thought to her mind. She had no idea if Shage was going to be with Sigurd during the vacation, or if Junior and Cressy were going to be staying at the tree. Dame would have no idea where Shage was if they came back and he was gone. Sure, she would know, but Starry had promised their eldest she wouldn't tell Dameon. The starred demon bit her lip, worried about it all now.

"Hunting...never has been my thing. I'd much rather stay home with you than get dirty taking down a stag." He spoke off-handedly, but a blush still slipped onto his cheeks. Dameon had no idea his estranged wife had caught on to his depression, if he had it would just make things worse. He couldn't help not being his normal self...not with his uncertain stance about what they were any more. When it came down to it, he had always been self-conscious about himself. Always had low self esteem. But with Starry, it hadn't really mattered anymore. Only now he wasn't sure if he had her, and it knocked him so off balance it was all he could do to try and keep a happy face. "I'm sure they'll be alright at home. They are adults now...But Shageki's behavior has been getting to me. He's been staying out late, sneaking out in the early hours. I don't like he's hiding something from us." He frowned, but he couldn't harp too hard on him. Shage was an adult and thus was entitled to do what ever he wanted to. Just felt wrong that he normally close son was keeping things from him.

Had Dame any idea of how much Starry knew, he probably wouldn't have been acting the same way he was trying to at all. She just smiled, not saying much more. She knew something was wrong. It was seriously wrong. But she didn't know what, and she really didn't know why. He was back. Sure he'd lost his mother, and that was plenty cause for grief, but this much? She couldn't figure it out.
"I hope so..." Oh he mentioned Shage's behavior. Starry chewed her lip a moment. "He'll be fine. Safer than if he was with Junior I think." She offered, hoping he didn't pick up that she knew what Shage was doing. It was a wonder that boy hadn't moved in with his boyfriend yet. He was sneaking off often enough.
"He's not hiding anything. Junior would've gotten to the bottom of it if he was. YOu know how much Junior loves his brother."

NW looked beside him to the dark colored demon that had approached "Yeah I guess I did, seems like a lot did really" he takes a glance around them there was only really a few who were singing that he could see at the moment "It's a catchy tune though and the instrument helps too" he motioned the pae with the ukulele
NW liked music, well actually he loved music, he had a knack with it, and it had certainly passed the time on the journey to the tree

"I suppose. Just a feeling that I'm missing something here." He shrugged, but let the subject drop in favor of taking another swig of spirits. "But I didn't come up here to talk about the kids. It seems like we haven't had any time for...well, us." Secretly he had been hoping this trip would make a difference, tell him exactly where he stood. Whether it was by her side or at the sidelines for her new boyfriend. Maybe then his life wouldn't be so stagnant. "Because as beautiful as you are, I like talking to you much more than the occasional greeting at the breakfast and dinner table." He grinned at her, his steel blue eyes holding onto her emerald. She was still the most gorgeous pae he had ever known, but he had fallen in love with her for her personality. Not her looks."So, is your musical note just for show, or do you know how to play and sing?" She opened her own musical book to a random page. "Because honestly I can't figure it out. It's all just scribbles to me." Singing was fun from time to time for the multicolored female, but she couldn't sing with them if she hadn't a clue what they were singing.

Oh, this was going perfectly! Look at how many others were joining, and it was all sounding so nicely. "Oh, by the way, my name is Sparrow. What're your names?" she said softly to them in between verses.

Starry frowned a bit. It seemed the fairies didn't care who took any of the spirits. There was a very confused teenager browsing the bottles. Well, at least it didn't look like she was doing anything to pick up a bottle.
"Well, we haven't... You've been kind of mopey since you got back, and I've been busy cooking for an army." She frowned once more. It was the honest truth. Since the entire family was back, she'd been busy cooking almost all day and night. It was almost a never ending battle. Especially with the way Junior and Cressy could eat.
"This vacation.. It's supposed to help us reconnect. I don't know where we stand anymore Dame.." Starry shook her head, breaking their eye contact. She was just as wary of their relationship as he was. The difference? Starry was handling it better. She had a distraction and was throwing herself entirely into it. Dame wasn't.
"At the very least, it'll help with your muscles." Time to change the subject, not something she wanted to touch on right now.

He was as far away from the water as he could possibly get up here, and it was ... nice, to say the least. He left Nashe and her water ... eel ... ness at home, glad to be away from anything dealing with water for a while. His body wasn't particularly fond of anything like that.
Perhaps it was a bit unfortunate that his body wasn't really made for these kinds of cold endurance exercises. Though he didn't really find himself needed to gasp for air as much as others, he did find himself having to stop a bit on the way up, his wings fluttering and exposed arm growing colder faster than he would have liked. Though Zyzair hadn't wanted to, he did end up having to stop a few times as he made his way up to the start of the mountain climb.
Hopefully he would get better at dealing with the cold the more he went. He had the endurance part down, though. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like the ... gruff, beared fairy he was greeted by seemed to particularly agree with him on that front. Youngers? Really? Did he really seem that winded by the whole thing? Zyzair was about to protest, but the bag was flung at him, and Zyzair didn't react to it in time, ending up falling on his butt. In pain, he groaned quietly, deciding that maybe he would just ... stay there for now.
At least he wasn't in the water...
He didn't seem to really take in any of the merriment around him, but it was hard to say he was paying attention to anything but the bag that was weighing on top of him. Ouch...Tartara Seabreeze This post is lame, sorry XD

Now NW had two pae talkin to him so as politely as he could he answered them both. He figured it was easiest to first introduce himself as it was something both pae could utilize "My name is NoteWorthy, and yes I have a passion in music, singing it writing it feeling it's rhythm. You guys think we'll be singing a lot? After all they did give us these books" he motioned the one nearest him. It seemed a bunch of them had the book, but did they all? If they did why hadn't they joined in?

"Nice to meet you all." Oh, Sparrow hadn't noticed the other demon coming closer. Was that what she was... a demon? Those wings were unlike anything the bird had ever personally seen before, only heard about from her mother's stories. There was a strong impulse, which she resisted, to touch and feel their differing texture to her own.
She shrugged, "Dunno. Maybe it's a joke, like those children's manuals some of the pae look like they got. I don't really care." Even if it was just a joke, she was thankful for it.

OOC: *facepalm* totally didn't see Sparrow there. How rude of Erylia! BIC: A distinctly female voice reached her ears, bringing her amythest eyes up to focus on the...what in everlasting nightmare WAS that creature?! Why hadn't she noticed her sooner? "I...I'm Erylia... What are you?" Tact was something Erylia lacked at times as she didn't really care what others thought. She even forgot about the males blabbering about songs as she stared at the female. "Perhaps..." The demonic muttered before quickly shaking her head. She was beginning to gawk. "A good chorus could be fun on this trip." A light attempt at rejoining the conversation, trying to keep from openly staring at the poor thing. Finally that smile on his lips began to fade as his eyes flicked to the ground. He sighed heavily, as if the weight of the mountains was on his shoulders instead of him on it's cliffs. He had been mopey, but Starry...what had become of her kind love? The rationalization was that it was a defense against him, perhaps even a punishment. But every harsh word from her mouth baffled him still, half expecting her to apologize and be her old self. "It isn't as though I haven't been trying." He spoke softly, crestfallen. "I've been walking on eggshells the past few months. I don't know where we stand either, and it's been tearing me to pieces. Some days I feel like we're okay. Others, I'm fairly certain you hate me." Today was one of those 'she tolerates his existence' days. The emotional roller coaster was exhausting.Now...how to dispose of the vile substance without offending the little fae's? A frown creased her forehead as she looked around, trying to see where she could dump the stuff. Perhaps one of the new comers would want a second bottle? Just as she thought that, a rather...peculiar pae came into sight. It was a fae, but it wasn't. Like, an artificial fae. Her quest for hiding the alcohol faded from her mind as she tilted her head in thought. She had seen many different strange types of pae here today, but none like him. The only way he could possibly be any more curious to her was if he were an Angel. I wonder who he is... Well, the best way to find that out was straight from the source. With just another brief pause, the rainbow pae started towards him. Her bright eyes couldn't help but catch the poor male end up right on his behind, and it brought a cheerful giggle from her. "They were much nicer to me. Would you like some help?" As she spoke she held out a hand, a shining smile already on her face. Maybe she would even make another friend today? She needed more friends after all.OOC: OMG, figuring out italics with her rainbow coloring...that was SO HARD
