Étaín stared almost blankly at Lea, watching him conjure his second wave attack; hooked icicles...nifty idea. "I will see what I can do." Her ice was cracking under the strain of the beast's thrashing and she supposed she could summon the whip she preferred to use if she actually had to fight to help bind the creature, but what appeared to be brambles had just shot out of the ground to bind it.

Feeling slightly vindictive toward the Riftborn for ruining her planned day, Étaín fed a thin stream of magic toward the vines, coating them in a viciously cold frost just to cause pain where they pierced the beast's hide; but careful to not penetrate the plants and make them brittle. This would be over shortly when the more offensively-oriented threw a final, probably massive and mixed blast.

So much unnecessary magic use in one day; her brilliant indigo eyes had lost a bit of their normal sparkle. Étaín would need to feed soon...yet another annoyance.

There.

The mass of attacks hitting and binding the Riftborn had begun to slow the creature's rabid frenzy, though the aura of death and hunger surrounding it had yet to really dim. But now, the terror had bared it's own neck.

The owner of the authoritative voice did not appear to use any ranged attacks and no one else had really had time to coordinate their offensive, so the Knight hoped that the gathered combatants would hear him. Sensing many of them preparing large attacks, Azra'iel raised his voice as he lifted his hand to direct his familiar to complete a final slash.

"If you can hear my voice, focus your power quickly; we may not get another opportunity this direct!"

Light battling dark; who knew how strong the darkness of the Rift was against his opposing, earthly light. Calmly, Azra'iel controlled his 'blade' to slice as deeply as possible into the exposed neck of the Riftborn. He could feel that he simply did not control enough power to cut through, but flared his power though his familiar to create a lingering seam of light on the edges of the wound she had cut.

"Aim at the light, now!"

Mischa desummoned his Shadow monster before it had a second to come smashing into his body as well. He growled in annoyance. He liked the one he'd just made. He'd have to conjure it up again when not in this battle to really put it through its paces.

Mischa stayed near Azra'iel. He actually respected the other for having taken his sarcastic threat with that of a grain of salt. The Blackheart didn't exactly enjoy the Knights, but he did respect them for what they did for their city.

Mischa watched the cut Azra'iel put in, and the combined efforts of everyone pinning the creature. The Blackheart took up his scythe, using his wind magic to throw the blade as hard as he could, hoping that his attack could help Azra'iel's push through just a bit more.

"Come on you bleeding sacks of s**t! Hit that neck!"

Damn, he really does hates this form he has taken than his monstrous form. He remember the days he actually ripped off the jugulars from the riftborn. But now, Fol realizes just how hungry he is now as his strength has diminished slowly as his ice blade merely smacked the creature down instead of slicing it through. The knight has been skipping his meals to be in more control of his appetite for mana but the results of it has clearly shown in the battle now. The spiritus was now incredibly annoyed seeing how long this is taking and the amount of people standing around him as he sees Azra'iel standing at the other side of the riftborn and witnessing his attack with his magic of light aiming to the exposed neck as. He breathed deeply in focus of his magic and lifts his arm up that is encased of his ancient ice blade and swings it down just after Mischa; pushing down his strength to the attack as he growled under his breath.

Asteria peeked around the corner she had hidden behind. Good, the thorns are strong enough to hold it down....for now. Still...I suppose I could will the roots to dig deeper...just to be safe. Asteria willed the roots to grow down deeper, however she wasn't very sure if it worked. After all, root work was always very tricky.
So far it seemed like they were almost done with the creature...but nothing was really certain until it was killed. Asteria took a deep breath and then checked her bag to make sure that she hadn't dropped anything during the excitement. Luckily for her everything seemed to be in place. Asteria leaned against the wall for a bit and then continued to watch the fight. I hope they kill it soon...

"That... will do as well." It was almost as if someone had read Lea's mind for as soon as his proposal for something stronger to hold the creature down with left his lips, large brambles suddenly erupted from the ground to pierce the Riftborn's flesh and entrap its arms. Was it Cedar's doing? Not likely. He mused to himself, knowing from past experience that her fighting style was less confrontational by nature. Which could only mean that there was another amongst them who could wield Nature Magic like her.

Interesting.

Taking hold of the remaining icicle, he focused on remolding it so that it would suit its new purpose, strengthening its core and sharpening its edges until there was a sword made entirely out of ice by the time he was done. While he would usually contend himself with watching what happened next when there were already three others - two Cerberus Knights and a BlackHeart - trying to cut through the creature's neck in order to finish it off, he supposed that he owed it at least to contribute to the ongoing efforts as well, given its earlier attempt on Cedar's life.

With that in mind, he gripped the blade in his hand and charged the Riftborn, lifting it in the air and bringing it down slightly after another ice-wielder's (Fol) blade with the aim of advancing any cut they might have made even further.

Cedar looked over as the roots and she could feel them growing deeper down. She raised a brow and pondered on that and thought she should try and catch the users name. She frowned lightly and pushed off the tree when she saw Lea charge it. What was he... She exhaled and channeled to the trees. They shifted as she prepared to defend her snow leopard. Her hands out to her sides as she started to grow angry.

That thing just wouldn't die... She had half the mind to use a branch to rip it's head off. Her face grew darker as she watched the hacking progress when she channeled again and a branch from a near by tree swooped down to wrap around the beast's throat and extend it giving the others more room to work with as she pulled with her magic to separate the head from the shoulders. Muttering under breath incoherently about this and that.

Asteria watched the ongoing fight and smiled when she realized that the thorns where helping after all. She watched as the four men swung down and attacked the monster. It seemed to have a rather deep cut ...That should kill it...right?

What happened next though, stunned and intrigued her. A tree branch had just shot out, wrapped itself around the monster's neck, and seemed to be tugging at its head! Asteria could do many things with her magic such as instant growth or even tripling a plant's bounty. She could even direct the growth of plants. But she had never seen someone will a limb of a tree in such a way! It seemed that there was someone here that wielded a different aspect of Nature Magic. Needless to say her curiosity was piqued. But first things first...the creature.

She took in a deep breath in hopes that this would all be over in a couple of seconds. However, one question remained: What is that thing?

((AHHHHHH IM SO SORRY GUYS i thought it was omie's turn this whole time BUT IT WAS MINE /goes into a corner to cry i'm so sorry D: ))

The Riftborn continued to pound at the ice that held it in place, when suddenly its arms stopped moving. Vicious thorns coated in ice dug into its flesh, and the creature struggled to tug its arms free. However, it only made it worse as the thorns began to rend its arms like daggers.

The monstrosity howled, suddenly feeling sharp pain in its neck. It tried to tug again at its arms, endlessly frustrated at not being able to defend itself. Another strike! And another! Roaring in agony, the creature shook its shoulders desperately.

A final strike.

Blood jettisoned out of its throat as it roared again, only for its voice to be cut short as a branch gripped its neck and pulled. Choking, the abomination's blood red eyes fell on the girl, Cedar. To think his intended meal would be the last push...

As the witches joined their efforts to deliver the final blow, the beast growled defiantly with its last breath, before a monstrous head came tumbling down out of the cradle of a branch. A pool of pitch black blood gushed from the body, seeping into the dirt below.

Everything was still. Everything was silent but for the breaths of the victors.

The Riftborn was dead.

Finally the riftborn was pinned down to the ground with everyone adding their strength upon the exposed neck. The thorns and ice was added around the creature to hold it down. Fol hears the creature howling in sheer agony as the others continues to strike down. He held his ice blade in place to make sure that the riftborn won’t struggle. The scent of the black blood stenches the air as it was so foul while it coughed up more blood. His icy eyes looked over to see what it was staring at only to find the brunette witch once again. Fol stared at her for a while before he turned back to the riftborn again as he hears it howling again. He wants all of this to be over.

A low growl was heard from the Spiritus as he then pushed his strength down against the other’s weapons to snap through the neck to silence its growl finally. Black blood gushed out from the decapitation as it got on the Fenrir Spiritus as well as it seeped into the ground. There was silence. No one said a word as the head rolled on the ground slightly. But Fol sigh’ broke the silence as he pulls his blade out. The icy weapon splattered with the black blood soon melted off as the water melted seeped into the ground as well. He looked up to see Azra`iel who stood across from him for a brief moment before he closed his eyes. “I’m heading off for the day. The others can clean up the mess here.” The others that he spoke about, being the Blackhearts. Besides Mischa, they didn’t do anything at all and should put in some of the effort. His tail flicked around angrily; irritated by all of this. He hated being with others and fighting when he knows how to fight. Fol believed it was best that he should leave before he snapped.

And with that, he took his leave from the group. Already, he was exhausted with everything. But his eyes casts over to the witch he saved once again before he walked away. He wanted to find something or someone to feed off of to regain his energy again.

(OOC: Wasn't sure if it's still going on or not > >;; But at least to finish my part <3)

((sorry for the slow/hassle/derp of this meta, but the next ones will be better! We had a staff who had a very involved meta char leave during this, so that's why ;; ))

The creature was dead. Sibelius stood still, frozen like a child who had just pissed his pants and was hoping the other kids wouldn't see. He couldn't believe it. A riftborn, here? They still exist? He stared disbelievingly at its corpse, lips twitching up into a snarl. "This is bad," he muttered. "This is ******** bad."

Before anybody questioned him, he slunk off and away. The damnable knights had to be warned. They had to know what was sealed in the Riftwood, what was now freed - and what trouble lay on the other side. Humans... If they still existed. In the old texts, they were tolerant of each other, but towards the end...and after all this time, would it still be so?

But, the legend that truly made the blackheart's blood chill was that of the weapon that lay dormant deep in the heart of the Riftwood. Her...It....Him...whatever it called itself now. Would it, too, wake? The calamity.....Anima.
