The School

[Xela the Vampire]

Pierce grumbled and rolled his eyes. "I don't know..." He sighed and rubbed his head. "Why don't we just go..Take what you feel is needed and we'll go..Otherwise you're going to go and do something insane..I'd rather make sure you don't get yourself killed." He grumbled again and waited for her to lead.

Sonya's smiled widened when she heard the word 'we.' So Pierce was on board with the plan. "Awwww! You really do care!" This comment was more so aimed to his last phrase. She hugged on to his arm and grinned. "You're such a good friend! It's only going to get better and better as time passes." Sonya looked up at him, her glasses gleaming slightly in the sunlight. "But we're still going to wait until night, right? I mean, who wants to see a creature of the night during daylight hours?"

Pierce looked down at her and grumbled a little as she hugged him. He suddenly felt like he'd be responsible should she ever die. He stayed silent as she said how good he was, then rolled his eyes at the last piece. "Well..the wolves are out at any point, day or night....Vampires are different..A few are out during the day and others are at night..Just depends who you want to see..

"But that goes against the legends!" Sonya practically whined. "What is this, some terribly written fanfiction where all rules are go?" She gently shook Pierce as she talked as if it would emphasise her point. She couldn't imagine seeing anything too exciting during the day; just some wannabes or half-breeds.

Pierce rolled his eyes and then groaned when she began to shake him. He gripped her arms as well and looked at her. "As we all know..Life is not as glamorous as it's painted out to be...That is one of the things in life that is over dramatized.."

Sonya sighed and shook her head. She was thinking that Pierce must of had a boring life or was uncreative. She almost felt sorry for him. It must have been destiny for them to have met, for she would be the one to add some zest to his life. Or at least that's what went on in her mind. She was silent for a while before pulling away from Pierce's grip. "Well, as much as I would love to stay... I got some preparations to do." She jogged off in the direction of the dorms and paused while still in Pierce's view. She turned, grinned and flashed him the peace sign with her fingers. "Meet you back here in a couple of hours. Don't go off having too much fun without me." And with that, she was gone.

Pierce glared at the girl as she ran off, not saying another word until she was completely out of sight. "Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy..." He groaned out loud to himself. He went back to his own dorm and stayed there, debating on the return. When he did show up at the spot,he released a sigh, knowing he was about 10 minutes late.

"You're late." Sonya was hanging upside-down in a tree, using her legs to hold her up. She swung up and disappeared into the branches before sliding down to a safe enough distance to hop down. "It's rude to keep a lady waiting, you know. But at least your here now." She commented as she came closer to Pierce. She then grinned and reached into her back pocket to retrieve something that made a lot of clanking and jingling noises when she pulled it out. She gently squeezed the key ring with her thumb and index finger in a way that seemed like the was showing off her new prize to him. "Now we can get started."

Pierce rolled his eyes as he saw her. "Alright you bat, get the hell down from the tree." He watched her suddenly disappear and then return. No comments came from him until he heard the jingling and she tugged out a key. "And what the hell is that? You planning on breaking into someone's room?"

Sonya huffed and dramatically stomped her foot. "Did you have no faith in me? In an event such as this, planning ahead is a must. And having a master key is essential for a successful mission." She responded, partially answering Pierce's questions. She tucked the keys back into her pocket and adjusted her glasses. "So I take it that the mission is 'go'?"

Pierce watched her as she explained herself out, silently judging her character. When she finished and asked if the mission was a go, he crossed his arms and stared at her. "I have to admit, I didn't expect you to steal a master key. Alright, it's a go. Thief."

"Impressive, eh?" Sonya grinned. She could have sworn she had seen Pierce's eyes betray his stoic appearance, as they flickered with a hint of excitement. Perhaps he would prove to be a worthy partner in crime. She gently pushed Pierce forward before whispering. "Alright then, lead the way. I'm sure you have a better idea of where we should go first."

Pierce moved to the wall and thought. "Well which creature do you want to see first..Because that makes a difference..The vampires look like us mostly, I think only a few really are in tune with their inner monster...but the werewolves there are all kinds...Some look just like us, others have the animal ears and some have more hair..And a lot like to move in their wolf forms.."

Sonya made a pouty face, puffing her cheeks out a bit. "The vampires here sound pretty lame if you ask me. Not in tune with their inner monster? What are they, a bunch of 'Twilight' wannabes? What happened to Stoker's idea of what a vampire is?" She shook her head and sighed a clearly exaggerated sigh. "I guess we should check out the werewolves. They probably would be more exciting anyways."

Pierce rolled his eyes at her comment and leaned back against the door as he looked at her. "Again, there are still some in tune with their inner monster, but most of them are not. Some can change and choose not to but I'm sure there are a few that can't actually change." He shrugged as he thought about it and then looked at her as she mentioned the werewolves. "Well alright..Would you rather stroll right through or are you trying to become the world's next greatest spy?"
