She laid in her bed, flipping the channels. Not really paying attention to what was going on on her television. She felt a little restless and antsy. Not even her favorite book could keep her attention very long. Pushing her hair out of her eyes she decides to take a walk, thinking that maybe fresh air will help her to relax. She rolls out of bed and heads towards her bathroom.

The shower ran for several minutes, the water had long turned cold, but West stood there unfazed while his mind wandered around the day before. As he began to grow hungry he finished his shower and got dressed. He wasn't in the mood to cook, or even make a sandwich. Instead was going to go to a near by cafe. He opened his door, stepped outside and took a deep breath. He stood there for a while collecting himself and his thoughts.

Lillian showered quickly and dressed in a pair of capris and a tanktop. Checking her purse, she added a romantic novel to it and her keys, thinking maybe she could stop on the pier and sit for awhile and read. Heading to the door she grabbed a sweater off the hook next to the door and walked out. She turned around to lock the door behind her and looked down the hall and nearly dropped her keys. It was him! West, the man she'd thought about all day and night yesterday. She just stood there staring at him. She knew she should move and stop staring but she couldn't.

One last breath before he was headed down the hall slowly. He didn't notice her, and the elevator was the opposite direction. He walked to the elevator and waited for it to reach their floor. While standing he turned his head and noticed a girl staring at him. It was her, the one who had trapped him in his mind. He turned away quickly. There was no way he could face her after what he did, which he still wasn't sure of. He waited impatiently for the elevator.

Lillian knew the instant he saw her and recognized her. Then she saw him turn away as if he hadn't. Her mouth magically started working again and with a perplexed look on her face she said his name "West?"

Hearing his name he turned back to look at her. "Lillian," he said with slight excitement in his voice. He tried to hold back a smile, thinking maybe she'd still be upset. At this time the elevator had reached their floor and the doors opened.

She walked towards him. Almost as if she were in slow motion, she approached him and looked into his eyes. The same feeling hit her again. But this time she wouldn't run. This time she would stay. "I owe you an apology," she says quietly. " I got afraid and i ran from you and I spent all day after work trying to find you but I couldn't. Can we please start again?" She looks up into his eyes, hers pleading "I promise you I wont run,"

West stoped holding back and let his smile roam free across his face. "Thank God," he said started as the elevator closed and left the floor. "I thought I had done something to offend you. I thought for sure that I would never get the chance to see you again." West stopped himself. If he wasn't careful he would confess to her that she stayed on his mind all through the night. He was getting a second chance and he wasn't about to ruin it by coming on to strong.

Lillian brushes her hair out of her eyes and a looks down at the red and gold hallway carpet "No it wasn't you," She blushes bright red and asks him " So were you headed somewhere? Because if you are the elevator just closed," she quickly glances at it and then back up at him smiling at him again.

West's smile turned into more of a smirk as he presses the elevator button again. He was quite witty, and it was to hard for him to not use this set up for a pick up line. "Actually I am headed somewhere, to take you out for breakfast."

Lillian laughs at that, feeling as if she is on Cloud 9. "Okay, West," At that moment the elevator door slides back open. She looks over and walks inside ahead of him. She pushes her hair out of her eyes again and asks him "So where were you really headed?"

In reality he was going to do eat out his sorrows at a cafe just a block away. The food was pretty good and the prices fit his wallet perfectly. "I was headed to get some breakfast at Dino's Cafe."

She smiles up at him again as her fingers clutch her bag in a white knuckled grip and she shivers in excitement. This is the man who was in her dreams last night, the man she was agonizing about just a few minutes ago. She tries to think of something to get a good conversation started, anything to get one started "So, you live in this building?" She looks down at the floor " Of course he lives here you idiot... Why else would he be here this early in the morning?!" her conscience screams at her. Unless he has a girlfriend or someone he was visiting. Maybe he's married. She tries to surreptitiously glance over to get a view of his left hand to check for a ring and leans a little too far forward smacking her head on the elevator doors as they start to open "Oww!" she rubs her head an turns around to give him a apologetic smile " Srry i thought there was something on the floor beside you," she mumbles as she walks out of the elevator, her cheeks flaming.

"Yeah, I live in 202," West said as an invite in a sly way. He didn't want to intrude by asking her room number, but he could assume seeing which door she stood in front. As Lilian began to lean West looked slightly puzzled until she fell into the door. Quickly he helped her regain her balance, putting his ring-less left hand in plain view. "Are you ok?" he first asked. "What was it, a bug?"
