((Two Weeks later!)) There is no such thing as justice. All the best we can hope for is revenge. Marionette arrived back at the Brotherhood Headquarters. Her blue eyes darted across the room, on habit. She had been gone for a couple of days, on business of her own. The last thing she needed was someone demand to know where she had been. It wasn't like they had done much since Magneto was sealed away, in a Tuberware container. Mari took off her long, black trench coat and set it on the back of a chair. Her twin blades still hung in their place, on her back. She didn't normally take those off. She set a overnight bag, full of cash, on the coffee table and took a seat on the couch. At least, she didn't come back, empty handed. Right? "Five grand, isn't a bad haul," she reasoned with herself. She had stolen jewelry and pawned it. She had stolen cash, and kept it. It wasn't a bad haul for two days...They all knew that they needed the money.

Brianna had grown terribly restless. When Mystique brought her to HQ she ran into a room and locked herself away from everyone else. Mystique gave the order for everyone to leave her alone until she was ready or until they heard other wise. Bri snuck out at night to tend to her needs like food and use of the facilities. For the most of the time she'd been there, she spent it in the room.
She wondered what everyone thought of her. Brianna had learned to hide her emotions from her line of work. She'd learned to hide herself but now that she was free of the life, Bri would have to learn how to live all over again.
The girl made her way out of the room and into the main area. Her eyes glanced around the room as she made her way down the stairs. They focused in on a girl sitting on the couch. Brianna didn't catch any of what she had said but the word haul. She looked with closer scrutiny to notice that the bag on the coffee table was filled with money.
Brianna sucked her teeth and straightened her back. She finished walking down the stairs giving off an aura of strength, superiority, and class.
"How much?"

There is no such thing as justice. All the best we can hope for is revenge. Marionette gave a glance towards Brianna as she came down the stairs. The girl finally decided to show her face, after some time of being at the Brotherhood hide out. Mystique had told everyone to give her space. Mari didn't know why and she didn't quite care. She did, but she would never let it show. She cared about a lot of things but that softness was what got people hurt. It's what got people killed. The softness of humans and other mutants was why they died. When Brianna asked how much Marionette wasn't sure how to respond. After all, the money was for the group. "Enough, for now," Marionette answered as she studied the girl. It was the first time that she had a chance to take a good look at the girl. She could tell that they were similar, in one way or another. That was what worried Marionette. Marionette let her booted feet rest on the coffee table. She didn't care if anyone saw. She just got back from a mission of her own and she wasn't going to let anyone tell her what to do, the moment she walked in.

Brianna took note of the girl's tone and disposition, she seemed like the type to hide behind sarcasm and a false sense of not caring. Briana could tell because she was the same way. The way Bri saw it, people didn't begin this way. They go through a terrible hard ship that in return hardens them. Evolution, survival of the fittest.
Brianna made her way to a wall close to the couch and slouched up against it. She glanced at the money, curious about it's amount, origin.
"So what you do rob a bank?"

There is no such thing as justice. All the best we can hope for is revenge. Marionette offered a slight smile. She felt that she could trust the girl and perhaps understood her, on a certain level. Tough girls had to stick together. It wasn't like what she did was a secret anyway. Everyone knew that she was a thief and a good one at that! "I lifted five grand," Marrionette said, quite proud of herself for a solo job. "I stole some shiny things and pawned them. Then I took what was in the safes after the owners left."The waiting was what had taken her the longest.

Brianna saw the girl's attempt at a smile. It was comforting. She took the smile as an offer for friendship. Bri wasn't sure if this is the impression the girl was trying to give but she realized that it had been a long time since she had even had someone to call a friend.
Before all of this mutant business, Ecstasy was a shy, timid young woman. She had shut herself off from most of the world, just idly passing by. One day someone came in and broke those barriers down that she'd put up for protection. Brianna had made a friend, a good one. One she can tell about anything. Almost anything. She figured it was best she didn't know of the horrors of her home life.
Bri longed for that feeling inside, but she knew emotions only bring hurt. Detachment kept you safe. But what is life without love, without joy, without laughter? It's not life at all.
Brianna forced herself to return the smile. Her face having to relearn how to give a genuine smile. She gave a slight jokingly clap as she began to speak.
"Five grand, nice. Next time maybe I can come with?" Bri paused to let herself think and the girl respond. "You gotta name?"

There is no such thing as justice. All the best we can hope for is revenge. Marionette saw the girl attempt to return her own attempt at a smile. Marionette wasn't usually the friendly kind and she hadn't been friendly to any of the Brotherhood, especially the men. They respected her, or at least left her to her own devices. She took a moment to wonder at the girl's request to come along next time. Marionette usually did these heists alone. There were always less people to worry about when she worked alone. She didn't have to worry about cops, or someone taking something they shouldn't. But, it wouldn't be a bad idea on some of the bigger jobs that she had planned. Of course, Mystique and Sabretooth wouldn't like it, but she didn't really care. "It may not be a bad idea to have a pair of extra hands," Marionette finally admitted with a slight nod. "They call me Marionette. Sometimes they call me, Mari. I answer to either. What's yours?"

"Bri... Ecstasy."
The girl stumbled her words a little. She began to realize that she hadn't been Brianna for quite sometime. That little girl died a long time ago. Her innocence was robbed. The only life she had was as Ecstasy. The girl studied Marionette. What was her story, her powers, her past? Did it matter? The girl thought about the name. Marionette...
"So I have to ask, Marionette? What do you have the power of ventriloquism?"
She let out a slight chuckle leaving a true grin on her face. Anyone can tell the difference in her facial ticks when she's being genuine in comparison to her falsified emotions.

There is no such thing as justice. All the best we can hope for is revenge. Marionette could almost see the wheels in Bri...Ecstasy's brain. She was a clever girl. She understood that most mutants were named after their powers. Marionette chuckled when Ecstasy asked about her power. Her eyes danced. "Yes...sort of," she said with a shrug and a smile. It felt odd to smile. "I have the power of animation. I can make any object come to life. I prefer dolls and manquens. I pull their strings, once they come to life."

Brianna thought about the girls response. Thinking of her powers, she began to think of all sorts of questions and scenarios. Ecstasy was definitely curious. She made her way from the wall to couch and plopped down next to the girl.
"Could you show me?"

There is no such thing as justice. All the best we can hope for is revenge. Mari smiled and her eyes danced. She loved her powers, they were so unique and gave her the feeling that she had even the slightest bit of control in her life. The girl was curious. Marionette glanced around the room for something that she could animate. There were books and magazines, the coffee table...and then she saw her mannequin where she had left it. It looked human and was dressed in the suit that it came with, in the store. Talk about merchandise just walking out the door! it looked like a butler, but Mari used it for practice, of her powers and her combat moves. She lifted her right hand slightly, as she kept her eyes on the plastic human. Her thumb and pinky moved and she let her hand bob up and down a few times ."Breathe and live," she said as her hand bobbed. The mannequin's arms moved and then it walked towards the two girls. It didn't speak, it couldn't. It wasn't quite capable of thoughts, other than Mari's. She held her palm, facing the plastic human, with her middle finger slightly curved. The mannequin slowly turned around and began to walk towards Toad's room. She loved messing with the creature. He did deserve it.

Toad's room was an utter mess. Clothes thrown all over the floor, moldy pizza and empty plates scattered around the space, it was a complete pig sty. This was home for Toad, his mutation and simply put his poor hygiene made this an ideal environment. The odor & stench was amazing and he enjoyed every bit. The young Todd Tolanksy was in a deep sleep on his crusty mattress of a bed. His posterior raised in the air and his mouth open wide, he let out croaky snoring with each breath. The sounds of humming flies' wings and Toad's snoring filled the room. It created an orchestra of peaceful music to ensure Toad stay in his deep sleep.

"Well, well, well. Doesn't this home look cheery?" Pyro walks through the door, playing with his lighter, as always. His arrogant smirk was visible as he glanced around the room, then at the doll. His eyes widened, but he didn't interfere, seeing as how it was heading towards the room with the worst smell...Toad's.

There is no such thing as justice. All the best we can hope for is revenge. Mari smiled at Pyro as her 'doll' opened Toad's room. Her eyes drifted towards the doll that had gone in, and shut the door behind it. Even if Toad took the thing apart, she could put it back together or steal a new one. One that wasn't so beat up. There were so many things that she could say to Pyro, but she didn't. At least he hadn't mentioned her absence, or really seemed to see the five grand sitting on the coffee table, under her feet. She didn't care what he said anyway. She saw his eyes widen and she laughed. "What's the matter, Pyro? Don't like to play, dolls?"

Brianna completely dismissed Pyro's entrance and statement. She had no personal disgust towards the boy, just his kind. Men, Brianna hated them and she didn't care if the world knew it. Her aura was steaming, she let off an air of disgust. Her powers activating ever so slightly people would feel a little nauseous but nothing stronger than a stomach ache. Brianna was unaware of her powers being able to make people feel bad. She'd never really explored anything beyond pleasure. Her eyes followed John (Pyro) fiercely as he moved.
