Shinta cringed when the water hit his shoulder. But he didnt struggle he simply let her clean the wound."Are you sure you arent hurt Naoki?" he asked softly he knew that the bear had fallen on her, and chances were that it was pretty heavy. Last thing shinta wanted was her to be hurt.

Naoki gave him a soft smile. "I'm fine really." Lies. Her side was almost unbareable. It was hurting when she moved and even when she breathed. She didn't want Shinta to worry, she thought he was worse than her.

Shinta sighed it was obvious she was in agony."here lay down." he said using a paw to pat the ground next to him."take a breather for a bit." he grinned, he wouldnt take no for an answer, so he let his tail flick at her leg. to signal her to sit.

She looked at the ground and a knot formed in her stomach. It would be difficult laying down with out hurting her ribs. She still smiled and slowly laid down. A wince formed here and there, then she let out a sigh. Ok that hurt more than she expected to.

Shinta sa she was in pain and quickly scooted over to her licking her cheek."Im sorry Nao I didnt think it would hurt that bad" she muttered softly before licking her cheek again. He looked around and saw there was nobody around."Hey remember when me you Aru and Rikka played that one time and you were supposed to be looking for our marker but you just wanted to jump in the leaves" he gave a small laugh.

"It's fine really Shinta..." She snickered a bit, remembering their childhood. "Yeah I remember. Who could resist a large pile of leaves like that." She rested her head and closed her eyes. Maybe a nap would help with the pain.

Shinta nodded curling up around her. Their childhood wasnt always good though. he remembered her being sick alot, then when she ran away. But that was all in the past now. Now he had another challeng on his plate. Surviving out here with her. after making sure her ribs werent hurt anymore.

Naoki slowly started to doze off. She was certain Shinta could handle things if something came up. Though even she felt a little uneasy out in the open, but they both were a little banged up and traveling wasn't going to do them any good. Where they were was the best they could do at the moment.

Shinta nuzzled the vixen and sighed. looking around he figured hed keep watch for a bit at least til he dozed off. even though he was sure they would be fine. She had gotten hurt already and he wasnt in the best condition either. But He was going to keep her safe from harm now.

The next day Naoki woke up, she was still very sore but she was hungry. And she sure Shinta would be hungry too. She she gave the sleeping male a light nuzzle and went off to hunt. After a good fifteen minutes of looking she found a deer. She had a difficult time taking it down, but she needed to eat. The hunt made her tired again so she laid over the kill to guard it.

Shinta opened his eyes and looked around. Naoki wasnt here?"Naoki?" he asked his head darting around. she was hurt she shouldnt be running around. what if she was kidnapped? he stepped out and began looking around. what if there was another bear close by Naoki could be in danger. he started tracking her scent.

Once she felt rested she started lugging the deer back toward Shinta. "Shiiintaaaa... Where'd you go..." She whined when she noticed he had got up and left too. She let a long, heavy sigh and flopped onto the kill yet again. She would wait right here. He would come back. She hoped.

Shinta sensed her scent had began to loop around at some point, trailing a line of blood. gasping he got up and started running in the bloods direction. until he reached the cave they had slept in. Naoki are you okay? he asked worried until he saw the deer."oh you just got food... haha, man Im glad your okay."

Naoki looked up at Shinta and blinked. "You look panicked about something... You ok?" She didn't notice the trail of blood, so she was rather clueless. She slid off the deer and sat down near Shinta. "I thought you would be hungry when you got up." She wanted to wait for Shinta to eat, so now he was there she took a bite.

Shinta sighed and shook his head."Alright then thank you" he was a bit startled when she wasnt there, so he had paniced especially with her ribs being the way they were."how are your ribs?" he asked curiously biting into the deer.
