"M-mot?" Riyo's ears perked as she heard the voice, turning her head in the direction of the voice. Oh Jack. He looked... Terrible.

"You look terrible." ... Oh... She probably shouldn't have said that out loud. "...ly sleepy. Y-yes. You look terribly sleepy." That was probably a pretty bad save...

Green Tent

It was, again, only thanks to Iris that Toby showed no sign of alarm when someone passed her what felt like a bottle (water?), the scareon being courteous enough to warn her via paw-tap so that she could feign a weak smile in turn and accept it without fumbling. She did, her 'thank you' perhaps too weak and quiet to hear, but the sentiment was still there, right? ... And besides, the other body in the tent wasn't long to stay there, once he-- if the voice was any giveaway-- heard a wisp of conversation from one of the other tents.

... There was shock in his tone. It was understandable.

Who would have believed something so absolutely ridiculous as this?

There was crying too that she could hear from some female, one that sounded vaguely familiar in tone, yet she did not know formally. The falsicorn figured there'd be more of it before this all ended, and perhaps a tear or two had even streaked down her face from that horn-- but one of the few advantageous things about her unusual sight was that peers often assumed one just incapable of crying to begin with. They were wrong in that assumption, of course, but she did not wish to correct them.

"You know..." she muttered softly to the lone, fluffy comfort comfort in her lap, absently fumbling to crack the lid of her water bottle and take a small swallow. That accomplished, she held it down by where she could only approximate Iris's head was, and held it for the scareon to carefully tilt it and get his own sip. "It's the repetition of saying it that's just..."

He understood without her having to finish, and put a paw gently on her forearm. She didn't need any more invitation to bury her face in his neck again.

Red was dead.

Red is dead.

She wished she didn't have to hear it any more, but there was nothing else she could do. It felt like everyone was saying it, and they'd keep on saying it again with each new person voicing their disbelief. There was no coming back from what the professor had suffered... but "death" was often just so cheap a concept in Halloween that, when it finally happened for real, no one seemed even remotely prepared to handle it.

Nice save. Not.

Mot stared at the feline incredulously for a while. Did he.. really look that bad? Mot grimaced some, his hand moving to his face again. It felt bad, and it burned. Was... was he horribly disfigured? The thought was mildly horrifying.

Still, Riyo's awkward honesty was refreshing, and so very Riyo. He brought his hand back down and tried to laugh a bit. "Sleepy, huh?" Didn't he always?

GODDESS OF THE TENTS - PURPLE

Cricket had taken a moment to clean some things, namely bandages, before she went over to check on her newest patient. "Well, you seem coherent." she said calmly, touching the ghoul's head to start looking it over with a sort of gingerness she'd never really display outside of her craft.

"How does your head feel? Is your vision alright? Any lightheadedness, blurriness, ringing in your ears, headaches..." Cricket began to list things off as she did her check, having no problem in interrupting the conversation going on between the team reunion.

Night: Blue Tent

After leaving the field where Red had...died. Everytime he though of it, he just couldn't believe it. He had walked around differently, he didn't hold himself as highly. He was tired, withdrawn and not even a pet or a cuddle could cheer him. His head pounded and his body ached from battle as he made his way to the blue tent.

After being hit by fire, two shockwaves and being knocked uncounisce twice, by both shockwaves, his head had a very painful gash, right along the side where he hit his head on a rock. His body had knicks and bruises . It was odd, he was a ghost but here he was, sitting in the infirmary with ectoplasmic blood dripping down his head.

He just sat sadly in his chair, rubbing the piece of Red in between his hands. He had come to acknowledge the piece as a sort of comfort for him. In his lost thoughts though, he had forgotten about the one he found most dear to him. Simone....I hope your okay. Night thought, Your kitten is going to be a little useless to you right now.

Blue Tent

Malodore quickly crouched at Night's side, examining the ghost with some concern. Looked like head trauma, but nothing it couldn't handle with a bit of fine stitchery. Hopefully it wouldn't scar. "I can stitch that up for you - I am assisting Nurse Cricket with patients," it offered.

Night: Blue tent

Thoguht's we're still registering in Night's pounding head as he looked up at the Plauge doctor. Had there always been a Plauge doctor at the school? He looked like he was a fellow student though, probably a year older then Night. He frowned as he reached up to touch the gash along his head and pulled down to look at the blood before sighing.

"Think it'll leave a scar?" Night asked the doctor, "Though, I guess a physical reminder wouldn't hurt on top of all the other things." Night mumbled to himself, still rubbing the piece of Red's horn in his hand. "You haven't happened to have seen a Lust Avarice Demon in here have you Doc, in assisting with everything?" Night looked up at the Plauge doctor as he went about stitching up his head.

The more Astra spoke, the more Sammy cringed, her hope was what made it the worst. Sammy had accepted that Red was gone, it didn't make it easier but this time, this time it was different and their teacher had made that lesson very clear. All that hope was drained away when Cricket spoke again. It was if the whole room became colder, her own mood going farther south as the Nurse seemed to radiate her very emotion to the room and those especially close by.

Slowly she curled up, her knees drawing closer till they nearly pressed her stomach shaking as she started to cry against the pillow. She could see Toby in the other tent, curled up against Iris and it pained her to not have Siddie, Shehk, or her own Scareon Ixxy to hold. Clutching to her ice pack she tried to curl up even more, to just vanish on that cot and wake up else where, someplace where this had never happened and everything was still okay.

But it didn't happen.

She was still in a cot, battered and near broken, one arm burned black and cracked from heat, the other wrapped in bandage to sooth the skin. Part of her wondered if she would eventually need a new body like Amrita had done. Her arm was burned black and felt oddly different, it wasn't like the other times where it was just physically damaged, she had held it up against Red's flames and that was something far different like the JOY that had scarred her side. In the end it only caused her to cry even more, what would Siddie say when she see's her? Arm burned and cracked like this.

Blue Tent

"It is hard to say. With ghosts and undead such as myself, especially. It will heal, assuredly; whether it will leave a mark or not is somewhat of a gamble." The plague doctor pulled out a needle and threaded it, then gently applied some painkiller to the edges of the wound. "I have not seen such a student, alas. Drink some of this as well, per favore," it added, holding out a small cup with a bit of the medicine inside.

Once it had judged the wound ready, it slowly began stitching; the painkiller would have rendered the skin entirely numb. "Be gentle with it; poking and prodding at the healing wound or at the stitches will only increase the likelihood of scarring," it warned as it worked. Thankfully the gash wasn't all that large - considering the possibilities - and the plague doctor was quickly finished.

"There you are."

Purple Tent

((Entering from SPAAAACE))

Johan had never been so happy to see the gymnasium. He'd hobbled through the portal as fast as his battered body could manage, barely sparing a glance for any of the activity outside the Haunted House.

A glance at the sign on the Red Tent told him where he needed to go. Seeing several others had already made it, including the cowboy who'd been so encouraging when Johan had suggested the ultimately useless idea of rune-recreating.

Come to think of it, he'd been largely useless the entire trip, except as a punching bag. Fried, stomped, and re-fried. If Colette hadn't given him those pumpkin pills, he probably would be in the Red Tent now. As it was, all the visible skin on the Reaper, his face and hands, had been badly burned, the latter were slowly oozing blood. His clothing had mostly withstood the final onslaught of flame, though the jumpsuit wouldn't be fit for use even as a rag after this. For once, parts of him being crystal worked to his advantage, as his torso had withstood the pressure of Red stepping on him.

He sat silently, limbs shaking as he waited for the Nurse's attention.

It was mostly shock that kept Myr from leaving the tent as soon as he arrived back, shock that yet another field trip had gone horribly horribly wrong, and he sat down in a chair, his hand caressing his familiar.

He was uninjured other than that, thanks to the pumpkin pill that he had taken during his fight with the boo, and because he had been unable to make a simple choice. He regretted that.

He wasn't the only one upset, a girl, sitting a few seats away from him, with a scareon seemed pretty shaken by the whole thing. "Are you okay?" he asked, his hand still caressing Sneak, who was responding by simply nuzzling his hand.

Perhaps that wasn't the best question to ask, none of them were okay, but there was no way to take it back now.

Hadiyya had been milling about and doing her best to offer assistance while not getting in the way of Maladore or Nruse Cricket. Mostly this included helping through with limited mobility get to where they needed to go, along with fetching anything that needed fetching. She had yet to say a whole lot though, shock or worry gluing her tongue to the roof of her mouth as she moved about. Least until she saw a familiar white haired reaper hobble his way in and take a seat on a cot.

"Johan!" Immediately the djinn rushed over to him, one hand reaching out as if she'd touch his shoulder before freezing mid air as she slowed to a stop. He didn't like to be touched, she knew that, but Jack damnit. The tips of dark fingers trembled before she let her hand fall to her side. It was clearly a mark of the ghouls self control that she hadn't simply thrown her arms around the boil, jack knows she wanted to. She'd been so worried over everyone that had left on the trip, and that worry only grew with the impromptu class on fearhealing.

Green Tent

Toby probably was among the luckier souls in the gym to have Iris there now, but the price she paid for that company could've been horrible, too. She couldn't bring herself to think what might've happened if a hunter found him out on the field or, Jack forbid, the swell of blue fire reached his shelter in the rocks. Minipets didn't often come "back" like other Halloween denizens, after all. When they died, they... they...

They wound up like Professor Red.

Iris didn't really know why her grip on him tightened right then, although he didn't seem to mind, either. His fur was much grayer than usual from the ash-thick canyon winds, and when Toby breathed in against him, she could smell a faint, lingering odor of burning.

She probably would've felt Sammy's eyes on her had she not been so concerned with her own throbbing skull and grief. Hell, as a fairly recent enrollee, Toby had never really known Red as intimately as some around the campus, but that failed to soften soften the blow. She was still a professor-- someone important to the school with others that cared about her-- and now, she was gone. Gone forever, completely, for good. Just what was it that made a death as final as hers? And where was she now, if anywhere?

The small, shaken ghoul pulled her legs a bit closer towards her at that point, fighting a wince as her sore, cracked hooves ground against the gymnasium floor. The second her head stopped pounding and she could see again, she needed to just... get out of here.

Maybe... maybe she'd go visit Tomoko's dorm. She could pick up Tiny, and.... nothing sounded better than laying her head in the maiden's lap and crying, frankly, though it was a guilty desire she dared not indulge. It wouldn't be a proper or gentlemanly thing to do. No one needed tha--

"Are you okay?"

Oh, oh Jack that had been directed at her hadn't it? It sounded like it. Toby failed spectacularly in not startling from her reverie as she looked up, straining to force a hollow smile in the general direction of whomever had spoken. It was just a shame she didn't really know where they were.

"Oh, I'm-- ... fine, thank you." Naturally she really didn't sound it, but with respect to the state of so many other students, it wasn't really a lie, right? "How are you fairing?..."

Yes, turn the conversation back on this strange, who seemed... male? The voice sounded male enough.

Dhe hated being this kind of blind.

Johan looked up, eyes a larger mass of bruises than usual, but still able to focus on her. That he didn't flinch when her hand automatically moved towards his shoulder was a tell to how tired he was. That he actually felt glad to see her, even more so, though there was no outward indication of the fact on his face.

Instead, he reached out, and hesitantly took her hand, guiding her towards the end of the cot to sit. What he had to tell her was best taken sitting down.

"Haddiya." he started, knowing there was probably a softer way to break this to her, but unable to think of it right now. He took a deep breath, some of the sorrow appearing on his face, though his eyes remained dry as they met hers. "Professor Red died."

Purple Tent

The flap of the tent unfolded just enough for two figures to walk in. The first was a tall figure their height eclipsing even the height of the tent itself. The smaller of the two was barely noticeable beside them.

"There is no other information to disclose about this situation. This topic is not up for public debate." The turned their head downwards to stare at the shorter figure, all the way downwards.

"Look," Arel groused, frustrated, "We talked about this before and you ment-"

"-which is why it is not open for further discussion. What is done is done. There will be no mention of this incident anywhere in public or we will not only suspend this school but also take into custody any one who further involve themselves in where their noses do not belong." The thread from the gargantuan Boogieman was directed at anyone within hearing distance. "This includes you. Good day."

The secretary fumed as he watched the Boogieman walk out, signing to another one also watching the tents. Two of them stepped in and both of them surveying the tent, one eye on Arel.

Stiffly, he walked over to the nurse, aware of two sets of eyes staring right at his back, just waiting for an opportunity. "Cricket. I ah, came to talk to you about informing the students that we will be having a farewell ceremony for Red-"

- One of the Boogieman coughed. Loudly.

- "for Red's retirement. I shall disclose all the information later, but I would like you to let the students know." Arel twitched, he nervously scanned the rows of the students, he wanted to say something, some sort of encouragement, even an apology. They were still young and their broken eyes reflected the naked truth: no matter what anyone said, wounds, thicker than bodily ones, would take a long time to heal. "It will hold place tomorrow morning... all those interested are invited."

As the secretary slowly walked out of the tent, so did one of the Boogieman, following him closely.
