Persephone shot the stranger a suspicious look, then took off after Saul. He was still struggling to control all the new cybernetics, she knew... Which was lucky for this Mamoru guy, becuase it had looked like Saul was about to kill him.
She was already sending his name to Command, of course, trying to get whatever info she could, but that would take time that she didn't care to spend waiting. She had bigger, more important things to do than play games with some stranger who came up to them out of nowhere and expected to run the show... She needed to know whether or not he was a threat so she could deal with him herself, if she had to.
Not to mention, there was the mission itself. She would be the first to admit she didn't trust Fate-- she had never dealt with the bounty hunter before, and didn't particularly care to. From what she had heard, he possessed the sort of unnerving calmness that only two kinds of people ever had-- the ones that were lying in wait for the right moment to strike, and the clinically insane... And since she doubted that Fate was clinically insane, that only left one option, and she didn't want to be the one he was striking out at.
She was following Saul because she trusted him, however... Which was another red flag. She didn't let herself get this close to people, usually, but for some reason, she just couldn't let herself push Saul away like she did everyone else... And that worried her even more than Fate did.
"Saul," she said softly, catching up to him and reaching impulsively for his arm. "Are you alright? I don't think I've ever seen you that angry... Well, except at me."

Crew of The Mika Brugunn, Miele, Sluc, Gar-ne, and Amari Sluc rolled her eyes at MEaSU but smiled as she took a puff. “Hmmm, turkey leg…that would lure Amari.” She grinned as MEaSU snipped the line and she could smoke her joint more easily. She looked up the building that they were in front of, honestly having not noticed it until MEaSU brought attention to it. “Hunh..” She murmured as the group walked into the small store. “Well at least it’s cozy.”
“And clean.” Gar-ne smiled as they walked in and she looked around at the shelves. “Kinda reminds me of those small, family run places.” She said as she began examining some old watches.
Sluc looked around and began looking at some power generators and then around the shop again to see if the owner came in yet. “Hello?!” She called out, wondering if anyone was there.

 Duncan Duncan sighed, well this was a great way to make friends for sure. He really needed to learn how to better interact with people. But mamoru's memories protrayed this as a good way of interaction.....then he reminded himself that he was not the imerial recon soldier, the cruel son of a b***h he was. he was duncan, and he still needed to forge his own way to what he was. It was difficult, having all these memories but now personality make up to guide them, but he was managing to create his own person. Clearing his throat, he followed after them. He kept a small distance as he followed, walking with the cane though he did not need it. If they searched for him in the database from command, they would find a general overview of Mamoru. That he is a highly honored Recon soldier, his public mission record would be posted as well for how he helped with such public operations. His own black ops though was not on the general overview unless proper security clearance was presented. And in all of the profile and reports, dates, ages, and such were conviently left out, held errors in the corresponding data, a corrupted file here or there, anything that could numericall show his age was not present, due to the experiment which Made duncan, a 70 year old man suddenly becoming 20 again would be suspicious, and known only to the dead now as duncan had seen to that, any and all files were destroyed or held safe in his interface. That was for mamoru hijikata anyway, He was Duncan and he would surely, and he was a rebel, using his original body's identity while it was still useful.

Saul ||+||Class:Imperial Scout||+||Height: 6 Feet||+||Weight:210 lbs||+||Age:40||+||Hair:None||+||Eyes:Blue ||+|| With everything I loved gone...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Saul looked at the girl. He didn't like the situation, and would rectify it as soon as possible. "I want him dead. He doesn't seem normal, somehow. He doesn't know the prison layout, or its location, just the planet it's on. We can lose him there, or if we can, blow him to atoms in space." He usually didn't contemplate murder, but since this fool had dared to approach him thinking he was Saul's better, and the fact that he was undoubtedly a Rebel, it made him wary. He also wondered how Persephone would take his new, actual allegiance to the Empire. He hadn't sold her out, but he had sold out his cell of Rebels to stay with the Empire. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...all I have is revenge.
She frowned at him. "This isn't like you," she said softly, her expression so neutral that she was obviously blocking some sort of emotion.
"If I didn't know better--" she began suspiciously, then stopped and shook her head. "You did, didn't you? You switched sides on me! I knew it!" She didn't sound angry, he noted, just hurt. "I trusted you," she said, unable to bring herself to look at him.
It wasn't that betrayal was new to her; that was the basis of her entire line of work... It was the fact that she was dealing with it on such a personal level; the one time she had thought that she could trust someone...
"I suppose when all this is over, I'll have to go on the run, then," she accused. "Since you're undoubtedly going to rat me out to your commanding officers... I thought you were different."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Saul just shrugged at first. "They saved my life. They have ways to help the injured that the Rebels will never have. The Rebels will never beat the Knights, either, or the Fleet and our ground forces. Its just a fact." He seemed to slump, and when eh spoke again, he sounded hurt. "No, they know nothing about you. They believe you're an independent smuggler I work with at times. They will never know more about you." He looked away for a few moments, then turned back to her. "Before my injuries, and my cybernetic enhancement, I thought that I loved you. But now, with me more machine then meat, and unable to bear children...I could never be the man you once knew. That is why I went to the Empire for real." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...all I have is revenge.

Persephone frowned, clearly conflicted about what she had just heard.
"You... Lied to them for me?" She waited for him to nod before she moved to stand beside him again. "That's the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me," she said softly. "Thank you."
Now it was her turn to look away. "You really... You loved me?" She paused. "You still do... Don't you?" She chewed her lip thoughtfully. "I guess then... Whatever I've been feeling... It might be..." She trailed off, shaking her head. "I'm no good at this," she grumbled.
"But how can we know you're not the same? You seem like the same old Saul to me... Well, mostly, and I can get used to the rest. As for your other concerns..." She shook her head. "My line of work isn't entirely conducive to family life anyway."
She looked around awkwardly. "Umm... I'm not really sure what I'm trying to say. When you spend so long shutting people out, it's weird to try to let them back in."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  "That is why it can never be," said Saul. He resumed walking towards his ship in silence, and when they reached it, he opened the boarding hatch and let them both in. "I think we should leave as quickly as possible. Just to make sure we get there ahead of him." The easier to set up an ambush, he thought.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...all I have is revenge.
"Right," Persephone said softly, nodding at Saul's statement. "...I think I'm going to go lay down for a little while... Wake me up if you need anything, alright?"
She disappeared into the bedchambers and sat down on the edge of one of the beds, burying her face in her hands. She didn't want to just ignore things, but on the other hand, she didn't know what else to do...
With a sigh of resignation, she stripped off her coat, weapons, and shoes and lay down, closing her eyes and forcing her body to relax-- a trick she had picked up in training, designed to create the illusion of sleep, in the event you were being watched.
She heard the ship's engines flare to life and felt it take off, then rolled over onto her side, letting her body curl into a comfortable position and wrapping her arms around her pillow as she bit back a sob. She hadn't cried in years, she realized-- the sensation of tears cutting a path down her face seemed foreign. She scowled and reached up to wipe the uninvited tears away, forcing all her emotion away as she was so used to doing, and pushed every thought she had from her mind, letting herself actually fall asleep in an effort to cope.
 Duncan Duncan followed, his heightened hearing allowing him to listen in from a distance . He gathered up a small bit of the situation from hearing the conversation as they headed for the hanger bay. The two were rebels apparently, at the had been, the male switching sides after seeing the true scope of the financial differences for the care and use of the military operatives. He also noted the emotional connection there, of what had been and could be, that would be useful to him as well. Not to mention saul's intent upon killing him. Once at the hanger bay, he used his neural interface to link up with the ship. "Begin start up procedures." He ordered, the ship ramp of the Phoenix lowering as the engines came to life, priming all systems and buffering the hyperdrive. He got onto his ship and walked into the cockpit, sitting in the pilot's seat as he operated, the controls. The ramp raised and the ship lifted, lifting off from the hanger deck the same time as Saul's ship did.
MEaSU heard Sluc yell out just as she found another item on her list. She was already carrying a transistor, an upgrade kit for a klystron, a few industrial strength varistors, and a vector processor box that had a gaudy image of something about a free disc. "Hmm? Oh, I guess this kind of store is a bit...before your time." She said as she set her stuff on a counter. "They've gone old school with this place. Watch." She looked at the empty counter. "Shopkeeper: price check please." When she said that, a friendly looking old man appeared. Or at least, the hologram of one appeared. It began staring at the items, pausing every now and again. "Basically, this store is sort of run by a giant computer. This hologram is an image for us to interact with, but the human who owns this place could be miles away. Possibly dead. Which is why not many places do things this way; people would pass on and never deactivate the store. And when the new owners would come in...." She had a smirk, a slight laugh. That alone should be able to tell the fate of the new owners. The hologram looked like a programmed being, and morphed into a price of about 371,095 credits. "Meh, military write-off. Oh, I also need help finding one metamorphic processor tune-up kit." The hologram pointed into the shop, and a light shone and adjusted so it shone on what she was looking for. She happily grabbed it, brought it over, and watched as the price went up to 421,790. "Of course...they are kind of slow in processing since a lot of effort goes to managing several systems and parts." She said as she showed her card for military write-offs, which was the same one she uses as a normal currency card. The hologram then turned into an hourglass with the words 'PROCESSING.' "Yeah, this may take a few minutes...maybe ten."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Once they had lifted off, Saul scanned the sector for a clear exit vector. As he had guessed, there was another ship close by, probably that meddling idiot that had forced himself upon his business, or someone else trying to track him. Well, they would learn the hard way that you don't tangle with an Imperial Scoutship and come out undamaged. "Strap in, this could get a little rough," he said. He threw the ship into a corkscrew turn, and put some distance between them. He opened the hatch under his ship and dropped all six of his Scipio Turrets, automated things that generated a huge gravity bubble, preventing ships from entering lightspeed. With two here, the others used their simple engines to move about, blocking all lightspeed travel for a huge distance around this part of the station. By his calculations, it would take his pursuer over a day in lost time to make up for it. That is, if the turrets didn't get him. They were each armed with a micro gauss minigun and a rack of four high explosive antiship missiles, equipped with jamming beacons to prevent ships evading them or jamming the signal with their computers. With the turrets dropped, he brought up a clear exit vector, and punched his boosted engines up to maximum speed, clearing the bubble in less then ten minutes. Once clear, he engaged his lightspeed engines. He would take several detours, and there were not many ships, save for extremely customized models used by bounty hunters or Imperial High Command that could beat a Scoutship for raw speed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...all I have is revenge.

Persephone was awakened quite suddenly when she was thrown off the bed. She sat up, trying to figure out exactly what was going on, and rubbed her head-- she must have hit it on the floor.
"What the hell just happened," she muttered, and picked herself up off the floor, walking back out of the bedchamber, still barefoot, unarmed, and without her coat.
"Saul... What in the hell is going on," she asked in form of greeting, sounding more confused than anything else. "Did we run into trouble already?"

 Duncan Duncan Relaxed lightly into his seat, getting ready for the jump. he pulled a plug cable from the console and plugged it into the socket of his neural interface, twisting it to lock it into place. He placed his seat belt on tight just as hell broke loose with a proximity alert. He kept his calm as he reclined into his seat, closing his eyes as he allowed his mind to interface with the ship itself, it's controls were now like extended functions of his own body, no needing to press buttons. Duncan was an okay pilot by himself, but this was how he made up the gap between him and vastly skilled and experienced pirates. His reaction times and perception abilities of what went on around the ship were that much greater. Through the ships sensors, cameras and other sensory devices, he detected the scipio turrets. six of them. He smiled to himself, adjusting the port and starboard thrusters and stabalizers. He activated the weapons system, several plasma turrets coming online. He just needed to make a weakness in the gravity field, not completely destroy it. Sheilds came up to ensure safety from the Gauss turrets. The several plasma rounds were fired off at the two stationary scipio's. Gauss fired metallic rounds, meaning they had no effect in countering plasma. The plasma shot at the two stationary scipio's only had their speed increased, the gravity field they created working against them since gravity pulled towards it's center, meaning the two scipio's. He blasted his sub-light engines to maximum speed, moving past the scipio's, whether they were destroyed damaged or not even. It didn't matter, the phoenix was a heavily modified recon vessel with military grade armor plating and shielding, along with sublight engines and lightdrive. "Access Imperial database. identification: 0047359981276 alpha michael foxtrot. begin Voice recognition." He stated to his computer in his own voice rather than a direct command via interface. Moments later. "Confirmed." "Acquire efficient target coordinates for Vorg system, Delta quadrant. program efficient lightspeed course to target coordinates from current location. Begin procedure when calculations are finished." "Completed." Duncan smiled once more as he set the ship to activate lightspeed. The ship set coordinates and route would take him to Vorg in the fastest way possible, taking him a route seperate from saul. if he had to guess saul's action from here, he would try to lose him. But making those detours would cost him time if he did so, and for the better part, the phoenix was just as fast if not faster than saul's ship. So taking a more efficient route, would get him there first. That would burn the scout quite nicely to be sure. He couldn't help but smirk at the thought as he released the seat belt and disengaged the neural link, setting the ship to autopilot for the time being until he reached Vorg. If only saul knew who mamoru was.
