xxxLet's move. . .
══════σиward, forωαяם... but ℓιgнтℓч════════════════

[The dream was absolutely terrifying. Was it also rather strange that Lotuspaw couldn't remember even falling asleep? No matter, the dream had taken her prisoner in it's deadly clutches. Black smoke wreathed around, swirling about like silken cobwebs. And then all in one rush it enveloped her, filling her lungs with blackness and choking her. And it was terrifyingly cold. A cold that couldn't simply be drawn away by a warm nest or the heat of other cats. A chill that penetrated her bones which then leeched out to every part of her body. Maybe it reached even her soul, freezing it into a tangible thing. In the darkness which muffled all her senses, Lotuspaw could her their screeches. Of fear, of absolute hopelessness. Lostpaw, Silverstream. Great Starclan they were dying. And even if she couldn't fully see them, she could feel their life ebbing away while she remained untouched in a cocoon of darkness. But something broke through. A rather rough might she mention! grabbing of her scruff, but she felt whoever it was swim her to safety. Out of the darkness and into the light.]

[Lotuspaw felt herself being deposited onto the ground. She fought desperately against the darkness that threatened to pull her under again.]
"Tenderfoot? Thank .... you." [Lotuspaw breathed as she took in great lungfuls of air. She shook violently from fear, from the cold, but it seemed that she would never get warm ever again. But within the ice-sculpture that was her body, one warm ray of sunshine fell upon her.] Lostpaw... You did it. I knew you could. You saved me and... Silverstream? [Lotuspaw looked around for the beautiful silver she-cat and once again fear with the added cold made her shake violently. Spitting up some water, thank Starclan she hadn't eaten too much, Lotuspaw looked up with dread. It was just her... and Tenderfoot. Where was Silverstream?! Tenderfoot looked completely exhausted, no way could she have pulled them both. Determination blazed in her eyes. One last hope. Taking in a gasping breath, Lotuspaw shouted to the sky.] "Griffonsea! Go help Silverstream! If Starclan pities my soul, please, please go find her!" [She screeched fiercely hoping her message would find it's way to the receiver. They'd lost the joyful she-cat some ways back, bounding away in the hopes of using up some of that spare energy. Somehow, someway, she had to get there. Extreme exhaustion tugged her away into the dark mist not for the first time that day.]

OOC// haha, tenderfoot to the rescue!
now could she be a dear, and get lotuspaw back to camp? @@;;
y'know to show off to the boys, she was a real hero after all! > w< !!

Tenderfoot

Tenderfoot sucked in a deep breath of air through her mouth before she coughed up more water. It tasted disgusting. She grimaced as she forced herself to her paws, her energy was already returning slightly- maybe it was just being able to breath again... Tenderfoot shook her coat out, freezing cold water spraying around her, the action puffed up her pelt. Her bright emerald gaze turned to Lotuspaw when the apprentice thanked Tenderfoot. The warrior thought the kit looked so innocent just laying there. "No problem... Lets not do that again though" she half-joked before she looked up, still no signs of another warrior. ]

[ Tenderfoot's claws unsheathed, startled by Lotuspaw's yowl. Tenderfoot closed her eyes, trying to calm her mind before she walked closer to Lotuspaw, "The others will find Silverstream. If they don't find her by the time I'm rested, I'll look for her too... But for now, we're going to warm up back at camp..." Tenderfoot muttered her 'comforting' words. The she-kit should be happy that Tenderfoot even came to her rescue. 'Tch, just like a kit, they think they deserve things' The miniature cheerleader commented. The gorgeous warrior was cold, but not nearly as cold as Lotuspaw would be. The freezing water didn't have enough time to reach Tenderfoot's innards. Tenderfoot wanted to show off her new trophy.]

[ The gorgeous warrior picked Lotuspaw up by the scruff again, though much gentler this time, thankfully before she started a brisk walk back to camp, too tired to run again. 'At least you're getting your exercise, your majesty' said the familiar voice in her head. Tenderfoot had to agree, only slightly amused by the thought. She was working off that extra weight she gained from eating so much fish. Strangely enough, the next thing she thought about was how she looked holding a 'kit' in her maw. Probably like a MILF(XD). Though there was a slight tug at her desires, her having kits of her own wouldn't be bad... She might like to grace Seaclan with more beautiful felines.]

[Tenderfoot to Seaclan Camp]

Silverstream continued to drag herself up away from the river. She arrived a a small patch of forest where she found a fox den. "I'll need to disguise my scent." she thought. She rolled into some fox dung until she was covered in it. Her scent ended near the fox den so she shakily walked over to a tree and started to climb it. Once she had gotten to the top she found an owl's nest. She crawled inside for some sleep but she was covered in the hole so no one could see her.

forsake me now
or let me return home!

(( Ai, guys, Griffonsea was there the whole time crying Makes little reason for Tenderfoot to have run from camp to river then back to camp when Griffonsea was right there. I had to make up an (embarrassing) reason for Griffonsea to be absent during that time. :c Please ah...consider me next time? I know I'm a bit inactive but at least consider my characters >< ))

[Griffonsea gasped for air, her paws flailing wildly. Clumbs of dirt and rock came flying out of her paws as she scrabbled out of the hole, blue eyes wide with shock. Dirt clung to her fur in a sticky mess, smearing her ginger pelt with dull brown streaks.
She spat furiously, claws scraping on the stones as she shook her pelt vigorously. Pausing, she began to impulsively lick at her dirty fur, but stopped after a while with a sigh.
Normally, she wasn't the best-groomed she-cat and had tufts of fur sticking out from her many escapades, but she was truly a mess right now. It was too much to consider at the moment-she had to catch up with the others!
She felt hurt twinge in her chest. Hadn't they seen her fall? Or heard her cry out? Why didn't they come when she called for help?
She'd fallen straight down a rabbit hole. Rabbits rarely nested in SeaClan so she was unaccustomed to checking or watching the ground for holes. She'd fallen right in with a surprised squeak and hit her head. She'd been out for a few minutes (at her estimate of the placing of the sun in the sky), and yet nobody had come to help her, not even when she started yowling.

She trotted to the river, hoping to take a dip. Curiously, it was empty. Her Clanmates were nowhere to be seen, though their scents were faint in the air.
The river usually washed away scents soon after they were made, but she was used to scenting near the water. She could tell they had been here, but they had left in a hurry. If it really had only been a few minutes.

Well, she thought stubbornly, if they wanted to ditch me then who cares? Why should I care when nobody cared bout me? They probably finished hunting and went home, forgot about silly ol Griffonsea who fell down the rabbit hole.
Her good mood ruined, she dipped into the river for a nice bath to help her remove the sticky dirt from her fur that clung like a heavy burden. She sighed with relief as the muck dissolved in the water, flowing away and downriver. She began to lick her fur to aid the process, whiskers glistening with drops of water.
Finally, she was done. The fish downriver had probably all fled, seeking refuge after scenting he cat, but she still had a chance upriver. She slipped out of the water and padded along its edge, keeping care to keep her shadow behind her.
She found a good hunting spot and had caught a small doby by the time she had finished, completing her hunt. She decided her earlier catch was enough of a prize for the day-she only caught the fish now as compensation for her blunder.
But there was no need to linger, so she stood and, fish in mouth, trotted back to camp, her good humor returning (as she was not one to sulk).]

(( @Hoshina: The river empties into the lake in the middle of the Clans. C: Sorry, Griffonsea didn't know anyone had needed help so xD ))

Silverstream woke up in the tree. She had felt much better after the well needed rest. She was exhausted from pulling Lotuspaw out of the river and swimming out of it herself. She started to wash herself when she heard a fluttering of wings. She looked out and there was a fat sparrow on a branch just outside the nest. She climbed out and started to stalk it. It was hard because it was so shaky. But she managed to creep up behind it and kill it with one swift bit. She started to eat it in swift, ravenous bites. When she was done Silverstream started to climb back down the tree. "Fish tastes better than that" she thought. But there probably weren't any fish nearby. "Let's see. I think I'm close to the sun drown place. I'll just go there first."

(( Hoshina: The first post of this thread describes that the river flows through NightClan, into SeaClan, and then into the lake. ))

[Griffonsea quickly padded forward, her eyes scanning the clearing. She wasn't very good at hunting on land, and she wouldn't be able to follow the scent of a cat who was drenched with water.
However, she did smell something-faintly, but surely! She followed the scent, hearing Sharkhail and Heartshore behind her, and then spotted a silvery pelt and gasped, racing towards it.]

"Silverstream, thank StarClan you're alright!" she called out, racing up to the warrior. "Are you alright? We were worried you had drowned in the river!"
[She glanced over at Sharkhail and Heartshore, relief flooding her eyes. The two she-cats would have been wonderful assets during the emergency they had expected, but it turned out Silverstream managed to take care of herself. The she-cat was fine!]

"Why don't we go home, then?" she suggested, blinking. "Shiftstar and Lotuspaw have been very worried about you."

I don't wanna be the girl who laughs the loudest.
Or the girl who never wants to be alone.
I don't wanna be the call at four o' clock in the morning.
I am finding, that's not the way I want my story to end

•~•Heartshore•~•

I'm safe, up high. Nothing can touch me.
But why do I feel this party's over?
No pain, inside. Your my protection.
But why do I feel this good sober?

I don't wanna be the girl who has to fill the silence.
The quiet scares me, cause it screams the truth.
Please don't tell me we had that conversation.
When I won't remember, save your breath. 'Cause whats the use?

Where has all the love gone?

Heartshore had followed Griffonsea to the river. And there, spotting the silver cat. Before Heatshore could speak. Griffonsea was excitedly racing away and questioning the silver she-cat about her health. Heartshore shook her head softly. They may not have been needed for this, but what if something had been wrong. Sharkhail and the sandy she-cat could have been quite helpful. Heartshore, without realizing it, had been approaching the two she-cats. Almost to the point where herself had fell into the river. But stopped as the water touched her paws, and snapped her back to reality.

Heartshore turned to the two she-cats. The water had seemed to call her, taunting her with its sparkling beauty, and its calm gentleness. Oh how wonderful it was! "I do hope you are okay Silverstream, oh yes I do" Heartshore spoke, half dazed. As she stared blankly at Silverstream, like always. She was staring yet again, and for no apparant reason. "We should probably get back home. Cats are much worried about you. Oh yes so its true." Heartshore spoke her eye's attached to the silver cat.

Tell me, what do they see?
When they look at me.
Do they see my many diffrent personalities?
Can you help me? can anybody see me? Can anybody hear me screaming?

I'm not satisfied with this being the end.
Ha this is only the beggining.
Tell me, why I can't just reach up and simply touch the sky?
Why can't I do that? Tell me what they want from me.

So i'm putting it out on the table.
You don't know me well enough to lable me.
Everybody's got insanities.
I've got a split personality.

"It takes courage,

[Arriving at the river, Shiftstar noted that it was many times its normal size. The odd voles or stray mice that warriors sometimes caught had fled and the rain had washed their scent from the land. It was somehow refreshing though, almost like a new start for the entirety of the clans.

The leader stopped at the edge of the swollen river and ducked her head toward it, her tongue flitting in and out of the water. Her eyes scanned the river as she drank, there was still movement below the surface. It wasn't a surprise, even during the storm there had been plenty of food. Shiftstar guessed that once the river started to shrink, they would have prey to spare as fish would likely get caught up on the bank. It was only a matter of time.]

"Look," she said to Freezeshadow, motioning her head in NightClan's direction, "The clouds are still thick above NightClan."

[It was worrying. On one paw, NightClan wouldn't fare well with their marshy land in the storm, they may even die out and it would leave a gap of power, perhaps large enough for the three remaining clans to fight over. On the other paw, they may become desperate enough to attack another clan for a source of food. Or perhaps they were faring as well as SeaClan. What about the other clans however? BreezeClan, the cats who lived on a flat moor. There would be no where for them to run, or StormClan with their many trees what had happened to them?]

"How do you suppose the other clans are faring?" she asked. Shiftstar, on their way to the river had made idle conversation, mostly about how SeaClan had endured and would keep doing so, rain or no rain but all for naught. Even as a apprentice and warrior she hadn't been the best at small talk, though she did try hard.

[Freezeshadow followed after his leader, treading carefully over knocked reeds and slippery mud. He took his time to observe what had happened around the River in the time of the tempest. He sniffed the air, the scent of wood mice and water vole cleansed from this place. As for the River...it just got bigger and deeper. His emerald gaze shifted to the swollen river bed, movement lay hidden in its waves.] There is still prey, we will survive. [He thought to himself, his eyes glued to the engorged canal.]

[Shiftstar's words broke him out of his observant state. He looked at her, following the gesture of her head to the clouds hanging over the Nightclan camp. It was as if Starclan was still holding a grudge against the dark clan for the sins they were rumored to commit. He knew Mudnose to be there, wondering how she would be fairing there.
Shiftstar seemed to echo his thoughts, as if on cue when she asked her question. It brought his Nightclan question together with the other two clans. Stormclan and Breezeclan. In his opinion, Freezeshadow did not really care for the other clans. They were of no concern to him.]

[Freezeshadow shrugged, tearing his cold gaze from the clouds to his leader.] "They are probably doing what they can to survive as we are. Only the next Gathering can give us a clue on what have become of the other three clans...." [He murmured coolly, his voice edged with foreboding. He really didn't know how to tell his leader about something he did not even understand himself. And he wasn't a medicine cat, he could not interpret the signs of Starclan.]

[Trying to shake off the feeling of foreshadowing for the clans, Freezeshadow tried to change the subject. Though, like Shiftstar, he also was not one for conversations. Usually Griffonsea would do all the talking and he would just stand and listen, his jaws clamped shut.] "We should try and scrape up as much food as we can, leaf-bare isn't that far away. I think that must be what the other clans are doing, for, how else are they going to survive this sudden event...?" [Freezeshadow trailed off, feeling awkward around Shiftstar. This was his first time actually making conversation with someone he felt distant to. Being his own leader at that. He padded away from her and up to the river, curling his tail around his wet paws and keeping his eyes fixed on it for the clear sign of a fish other than movement alone.]

"Perhaps..."

[Shiftstar sat, her tail gently flicking behind her in thought. The NightClan storm would surely end, just as SeaClan's had ended. The she-cat barely noticed a fish swimming dangerously close to the bank. If not for her SeaClan training, she would have thought nothing of it, but that wasn't the case. Her paw darted out before she realized what happened and a small fish flopped out onto the ground. She looked at it for a moment, her thoughts slowing her mind, and eventually she ended the creatures life.]

"And if they do not last until the next Gathering?" she wondered aloud.

[These were matters best suited for discussion with the medicine cat or Dragonfire, but as she had left Dragonfire in camp...Freezeshadow would be just as good to bounce theories and ideas around.]

"Hmm?" she asked, running the warrior's change of subject through her head, "Oh, yes. We should."

[Shiftstar looked down at the fish she had caught. Her tail lashed and her eyes glazed. 'How else are they going to survive this sudden event...?' A most difficult question, but all at the same time the easiest to answer. They'll survive. With help. Shiftstar wanted to return back to camp as soon as they were able. Her mind on this course of action, she crouched down by the river side, intent on catching a couple more fish to bring back.]

[Freezeshadow thrust his paw under the water, feeling the icy sensation freeze his muscles, making his paw numb. His calculating gaze followed the small movements that made the water ripple. He raised his paw and slapped the water again, scooping up a good sized trout and killing it with a n** to the spine. Freezeshadow clamped the wet prey between his jaws, and placed beside Shiftstar's catch. He looked back at her, only seeing uncertainty and concern in her glazed eyes. The feeling of foreboding never left him as well. Freezeshadow stood beside her, trying to pinpoint fish as she spoke.]

"If they do not last until the next full moon...then we must assume the worst. That they did not make it. That they failed their warrior ancestors in making their clans thrive..." Freezeshadow muttered, sounding as stoic as usual.

[It was only Starclan that would be the judge of that. Freezeshadow stuck his paw into the water again, scooping and killing another fish. Though this one was smaller than the trout. This scouting patrol, which had now turned into a hunting patrol was silent. And he knew it wasn't only him that was maintaining the silence.]

[Freezeshadow turned his gaze back to Shiftstar, sensing her discomfort at this desperate time to bring the clans back into their usual lifestyle. He rested a damp paw on her tail so it would stop moving so wildly, her fear scent would warn the fish if she kept this up. His voice was calm and as soft as he could make it as he raised his head to whisper in his leader's ear.] "Stop worrying so much. The other clans will be fine, depending on the choices their leaders make. That is one of the tests of becoming a leader, Moss-star told me that. For now, you should be concentrating on making those same choices for Seaclan. This is all about survival now, survival to the fittest."

[Freezeshadow released his hold on her tail and looked up at the ashen skies above.] Have I...said the right thing....? [He wondered, looking for a sign in the sky to know if it was true. He knew Dragonfire should be talking about this with Shiftstar, yet for now, he would have to suffice in her absence.] "Now let me ask you something..." [He murmured, his gaze still transfixed to the sky.] "Do you think you are doing the best you can to support our clan? Is there a doubt in your mind that says otherwise? Without determination and trust in yourself, how can you overcome the storm that rages within your mind. And if you break through, will you be able to think again after the changes are made?" [These were things mother had told him a long time ago, when he was still a kit and questioned the ways of a clan leader. Maybe he could use these words now...to help Shiftstar overcome this rough conflict that seemed to tangle her mind in confusion.]

[Shiftstar knew better than to feel anything but calm when hunting, it had practically been a rule when she was an apprentice. It was different now though, to make decisions versus simply taking orders. Having her concentration split between searching for fish, and deciding what do when they got back, made the touch on her tail a surprise. She looked back quickly and was met with Freezeshadow's fur. She forced her tail to stay still and refocused on the river. The warrior's voice, however, soon filled her ear and thoughts. His breath was hot compared to the chill that lingered from the rain and the coming leaf-bare. The closeness was odd, she had only really allowed one cat to get close, but it was to make him uncomfortable. To give Ravenwing a taste of his own attitude but Freezeshadow seemed concerned, not condescending.

Shiftstar listened to Freezeshadow, allowing his words to sink in. She didn't agree with all he said. If clans were missing from the next Gathering, it would be true that they probably would have fallen, but survival of the fittest. It seemed wrong somehow. She narrowed her eyes in thought and despite her disagreement, a wave of calm overcame her.

Her tail released, Shiftstar raised herself to a sitting position and watched the silver warrior questionably.]

"I have a a sure answer for only one of your questions, Freezeshadow." she started, following his gaze to the sky, "I believe that every leader has their doubts. I have my own. Nothing I say can be guaranteed to be the right thing for the clan. It is like being presented with two paths, both shrouded with ferns and covered in sharp rocks. Every decision, every choice has it's rewards and consequences."

[Freezeshadow listened to his leader's words, nodding slowly with understanding. Though she did not answer all of his questions, he guessed she did not agree with them. But he was a kit back then when he asked Moss-star about this subject moons ago, it was hard to remember something from so long ago. Shiftstar's words...sort of made it easier to understand what it was like to be a leader. She was right, you never did know what was going to happen. But each choice did have its ups and downs.] Her words are well spoken...

[A sudden thought hit Freezeshadow like a splash in the water. He was actually trying to help someone. Was it because Shiftstar was his leader, and it was his job to support her? Freezeshadow shook his head, not understanding this one bit. He wasn't really the type to offer a paw if a cat fell into the river. Freezeshadow looked at his paws, a sigh shaking his tough frame.] It is probably the air getting to my head...she simply sparked my interests with her talk... He thought, trying to give himself a reason to his problem.

[Trying to distract himself once again, he padded over to the small fresh kill pile and picked up his catch of two descent trouts.] "Lets get back to the others, the River is fine. Only a little swollen is all." Freezeshadow mumbled through the fish clamped tightly in his jaws. "We might freeze out here if we stay any longer...."

[Despite his words, Freezeshadow already felt cold. Oddly cold on the inside. From hunting in the river? Perhaps. But he did not want to show this weakness infront of his leader, it would just be troublesome to worry her more. Keeping his own problems to himself, he began padding back to Seaclan. He would not wait for Shiftstar, though his tail brushed against her shoulder, signaling to her that he was leaving. Small reeds nipped at his pads, as if telling him not to go just yet. He ignored this.]

((Freezeshadow back to Seaclan, oh and lol I felt like Freezeshadow and Shiftstar were bonding XD))

I've become so numb I can't feel you there
Become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you.
Can't you see that you're smothering me
Holding too tightly afraid to lose control...X

In matters of style, swim with the current;
In matters of principle, stand like a rock.

"It takes courage,
To grow up and become who you really are"

[Shiftstar lowered her head after she finished speaking. She narrowed her eyes though not in anger or confusion, it was more a mix of contentment and contemplation. Freezeshadow had asked difficult questions. It would give her something to think about during the nights and perhaps one day, she would have an answer for him.

Shiftstar glanced at Freezeshadow, catching the end of a shudder that shook him. She ignored the shake, dismissing it as a shiver from the cold. She herself, stood and shook her pelt, nodding at the idea of going home.]

"Ironic," she joked before picking up her own fish, "FREEZEshadow is afraid of a little cold."

[Shiftstar, fish shut tightly in her mouth looked back toward the river one last time, curious as to when it would return to it's normals size. This in mind, she turned toward home and fell in line with Freezeshadow.]

(Shiftstar to SeaClan. Yeah, I got that feeling too razz )

To be nobody but yourself in a world
That's doing its best to make you somebody else,
Is to fight the hardest battle
You are ever going to fight.
Never stop fighting.
