Ryo had been impressed with her respons. "Then you are a seed in my garden now. I will do all I can to help you grow. In return, you must grow into some thing that will reflect my work." Ryo watched as she made a clone to get his team. "Very good thinking Neokona but, there is no need for that while we are here. I have many guards here." Ryo had one more question that he wanted to ask her before he got started on her instuction. "During the cerimony, your eyes became very intense and your heart began to pound in your chest. It was when the clan scroll was passed to me." Ryo pulled out the scroll. "What is it that you seek from this? Do not hold the truth from me. I will not judge you on it. You need only speak turely to me and I will give you what information I can."

Without really noticing, Neoko's body became tense when Ryo brought out the scroll. The desire to know its secrets stirred within her soul once again. "There are many questions that the main family and the elders have left unanswered for as long as history can recall. Over time, the branch families just stopped wondering and accepted that they would never have the answers. However..." It was there again, the fire in her eyes. "I can non accept that. I know that there's a reason behind the clan's need for seperate families, that there's a reason why such a large power gap exists between the two. But most of all, it contains the truth as to why everyone hates me for simply being ambitious."

Tou twitched slightly as the clone appeared, and then smiled. He would remember to compliment their new member on her ninjutsu skills, for see seemed to be able to do it quite well. Or perhaps he was just thinking about this too much. Oh well. He nodded to the clone and replied, "We will follow, show us the way."
He turned to Mikon. "The new member seems good at Ninjutsu. Who knows, she might have good Ginjutsu also and give our team the balance it needs. Because frankly, we lack in good Ginjutsu to combat skilled opponents."

Mikon looked at the clone sadly. This wasn't how she would want a team mate to treat her. If she hadn't known any better, it wouldn't have bothered her as much. But she knew that the young girl was showing such respect only because she felt she had to with them being of higher rank. She looked to Tou when her brought up what skills Neoko might be able to bring to the team. "I'm not sure what she has up her sleves. Our first few training sessions with her should give a bit of insight as to what she can do."
When the two showed that they were ready to follow, the clone led them on the right path, weaving through the small maze that the garden provided. It didn't take long for it to get them to Neoko and Ryo. Once they all arrived, the clone dispersed, no longer needed.

Ryo nodded to her, understanding exactly what she was getting at. But his team was now here and this would be some thing that he would have to talk to her alone. "You already met Minko. She is a very gifted med-ninja and has a few good taijutsu skills as well. And this it Tou Magimata. He is the brawn of the team." He said as he gestured to each of them. "This is Neokona Yunichie. Our new team member." Ryo now had them together and needed a new question answered. "Being the captain of the team, I will need to know your full skills. So we will have a sparing match right now. Minkon and Tou will watch the fight. It is very rare for any outsider to see two Yunichie fight and I am sure you two will have much interest in how this sparing match goes." Ryo a few steps away from Neoko. "Our first spar will be taijutstu only. No weapons. You will have to come at me with full intent to harm me. I will simply fend off your attacks. When ever you are ready you may attack." Ryo said as he did not take any type of stance but, just seemed to wait there, completely relaxed.

Tou smiled as Mikon was complimented on her skills in Taijutsu and healing, and then glared furiously at Ryo when he just said he was 'the brawl of the team.' That was beyond any little fun Ryo had at Tou's expense, now he was just being insulting and cold. To say that Tou was the brawn of the team was a bit of an understatement, considering he was the best at combat Ninjutsu in the entire team. Tou remained himself to get angry at Ryo and instead just glared silently at him, not wanting to cause a scene right here and now in front of their new team member.
He also hoped that Tou would lose. 'That would teach the smug clan head p***k a lesson,' He thought to himself as he waited for the match to begin. In reality, he knew Ryo was his friend and didn't exactly mean all of the things he thought about him, it's just... Ryo had this way of acting that went against Tou's nerves.

Neoko gave a nod of the head to each of the two, since Ryo had told her there was to be no bowing. It felt awkward to her since, team mate or not, they were still of higher rank than her. She took notice of their facial expressions. Mikon seemed happy, and Tou did too untill a certain point. His expression had changed quickly once he was brought up. Maybe something that was said upset him, but she couldn't be sure. She just knew she didn't like the look he now had in his eyes.
Now came the part that Neoko was dreading...having to fight Ryo. It was something she expected since he was now her personal sensei, but she wasn't looking forward to possibly hurting him, though it was doubtful that she would. He was much more advanced than she was, having had full access to the clan's training methods as well as justu's and fighting styles. Neoko on the other hand had been prevented from learning much of this. She had yet to learn the clan's taijutsu style, and was novice at best when unable to utalize some form of ninjutsu or weapon with her attacks. So starting off with a test of her taijutsu abiliities only made the task ahead more nerve wracking.
Taking a deep breath, Neoko mentaly prepared herself. In her mind, Mikon and Tou were not there, and Ryo was of no importance. When she was ready, Neoko took a walking stance then lunged forward, going at Ryo with a mid level punch. Depending on how he blocked, she would follow with a round house kick, then a hook kick if that landed.
(Please note that the fighting style I'm using is based on Korean Taekwon-do and isn't just a bunch of random crap lol It's the only fighting style I know anything about,)

Ryo watched Neoko closely as she readied herself. He could tell that she was dreading this part of the things to come. But this was not just a test of her strength. This was a test of her will. Then she came at him. What ever it was that was going through her mind, she had set it aside. Ryo her punch coming. He had choices. He could counter her attack and sweep her legs out from under her and pin her to the ground. He block her attack and just stick with that. Or he could side step her and guide her attack into thin air with a sweep of his hand. Ryo chose the last as he pivoted on his left heel and swept his hand down on her arm with a gentle push that would cause her to miss him by an inch. He pivoted again with his other foot to bring his body behind her. Using the force she had put into the punch, he gave her a slight push from her mid back. Now that they had started, Ryo took a stance. It was one of the basic stances of the Yunichie's Taijutsu.

With the way that Ryo had chosen to block her attack, Neoko could have skipped the round house kick and gone straight for the hook kick, but he was a step ahead. By time she had brought her leg up to hook the back of his neck, he was already pushing her forward and puting distance between them again. Using the momentum she already had from swinging her leg for the kick, Neoko made a one eighty turn, placing her foot firmly behind her to regain balance. Taking a brief moment to examine the stance Ryo had chosen, she went over posible attacks in her head. His left side was vaunerable, as well as his legs if she could get low enugh for a sweap. She could also try getting behind him and taking out the knees or bringing him to the ground using a toss of sorts. Neoko chose a frontal attack. Once again taking a walking stance, she took two steps forwad before faking another round house kick aimed for his head, right at the temple. Her real intention was to get him to block this fake kick and imidiately go into a different kick aimed for the pressure points in between the ribs.
Mikon watched the fight as it progressed, and didn't really like what she was seeing. The girl wasn't showing a great deal of skill with taijutsu above that of just the basics. So this wasn't going to be Neoko's strong suit. "Well Tou, it looks like you're still our best in all around taijutsu skills." She waid with a bit of a sigh. Hopefully the girl would show better skill levels in a different area, or they were going to end up having to protect the protector, which would be good for Neoko mentally.

Ryo could almost feel her thoughts pushing against the contours of he skull as she came in for her next attack. He could see her focused on some thing that was behind the round house kick she had started. Ryo saw he eyes move over his ribs. She would have landed a well placed kick if it wasn't for Ryp's reflexes. He used gravity as he quickly leaned to the opposite side of the kick and falling to the ground. His next movement could of happened in the blink of an eye as he caught himself just and inch from the ground, supporting his body with his fingertips. He then pivoted his entire body on his hands and, with the entire force of his body, swung his legs under her and taking out the one leg that she still had on the ground. His body still had momentum as it swung another 90 degree before he slammed his foot down the stop himself. Ryo's blood was now pumping and he was ready to see all she had for him as he stood up with his eyes closed. When he reached his full height, he opened his eyes. The white in his eyes was now blue as he looked down to Neokona with the first stage of the Nanjigan. Ryo took his stance again but, this time he started pumping chakra into his hands. "Show me that the elders were wrong about who you are and that they were right to fear you." He said, not as a taunt but, as motivation.

Tou chuckled at this and once again smiled at Mikon, for he liked Mikon. Her radiance, bubbly personality and willingness to fight despite her disabilities... What wasn't there to love? "Na, Ryo is still better then me at Taijutsu. My specialty is still combat Ninjutsu and elemental releases, remember?" Tou watched as Ryo easily countered blow at blow that Neoko aimed at him. "She's really taking a beating..."

Neoko saw them, Ryo's eyes as he now looked down on her. She wasn't going to let him be the only one with that kind of an advantage in this fight. No, it was time to reveil her own little secret....something that no one in the clan, not even the elders, were aware of. Lifting herself of the ground, there was something noticably different about her. For the first time in many years, her lips were curled up in a genuine smile. "So, you want to see why they fear me..." Her eyes slowly closed as she said this and began to open again as she continued. "It's because no matter how much they tried to hold me back, they couln't keep from my dreams." When her eyes were fully open, they were identical to Ryo's. For the first time ever, she was showing that she had obtained the Nanjigan's first stage. Neoko half hoped to look and see an elder watching...see the shocked expression on his face when he realized thet they were unable to keep her as weak as they wanted. But she had a fight to think about....one that was about to get more intense. She was no longer focusing on pure tiajutsu. Her eyes allowed her to see the small movements of Ryo's hand. He was building chakra, and if he was going to start using ninjustu, she was as well.
There was a good chance that even Ryo was going to be taken off guard by her revelation, and Neoko was going to capitalize on that. Performing a few handsigns, she quickly gathered chakra into the palm of her hand and started the first part of Static Bolt Technique [Seidenki Boruto no Jutsu]. Once the positively charged chakra was in place, which right in front of Ryo, she went onto phase two and released the negatively charged electric chakra. With the two chakras having opposite polarities, the lighting bolt was attracted to her first chakra release and was going to hit right where she had placed it. Knowing that Ryo had the Nanjigan active, his chances to dodge were increased, but Neoko's ability to figure out where he would be next using the same eyes was going to play to her advantage. She was watching Ryo like an eagle, ready for him to show signs of movement and give away his next position. As soon as he did, she would have another attack waiting to intercept him.
Justu used:
- Static Bolt Technique [Seidenki Boruto no Jutsu]
The user projects some of his chakra, which is given a positive charge, to a location. The user then gives some air in front of his open palm a negative charge, and a large static bolt jumps between the two locations. While the lightning bolt is impossible to dodge, the location that it jumps to can not change, making it very predictable - assuming that the victim knows what’s coming.

Ryo was surprised by the fact that she had obtained the first stage of the nanjigan but, he did not let it phase him as he watched her had with great detail. Being very familiar with raiton jutsus, Ryo was able to figure out what she was doing quite quickly. His mind quickly went through his options. He could dodge it and follow up with his own attack but, he did not want to go on the offense with her. This was meant to teach her, not harm her. So, instead of moving away, Ryo placed his hand right where her attack was going to land. He then charged his hand with chakra. Once the attack hit, Ryo forced his chakra back into the main part of his body, taking the lightning attack in as well. The next part Ryo had to do very quickly or risk letting the attack he had just absorbed doing great harm to him. He quickly push a massive amount of his chakra to his other hand and forced out the Raiton that was in his body along with some of his own. He created a bolt of lightning that would now shoot from his hand and hit what ever he aimed at. His hand was now pointed right at Neokona. With a loud crack the lightning struck from his hand and passed a hairs breath from Neokona's right shoulder. It then hit a large rock with great force and shattered it. Left over raiton charges emanated on Ryo's left hand. "You must be careful when using Raiton against a skilled Yunichie. We are used to directing it with our hands from our bodies. It is a simple task then to redirect it and shoot it back at an unsuspecting opponent. If I had wanted that to hit you, you would have been in the hospital for a week. Raiton comes naturally to our clan. So it is ill advised to use it against one another. This is your first lesson. Make a good impression, but don't over do it." Ryo said with a smile that indicated that he was not mad but, pleased with her attempt. These were the things he was going to have to teach her and it would make more of an affect if she made the mistake before he corrected her. Rather than him telling her not to do some thing. The elders had done that to her enough times.
Jutsu used:
Chakra Redirection
This skill simply takes the chakra of an element based attack, absorbs it into the body, and releases it. This skill is extremely hard with all elements but Raiton. For Raiton has a natural current and just needs to be given a path to be released from. It also helps if the user has the same elemental chakra type.

The smile that had come about when Neoko revieled her eyes deminished into a hatefull glare the moment Ryo absorbed and redirected her attack. It was not a hate for Ryo though, but an inward hate and displeasure with herself. Her taijutsu wasn't good enough for her to land a blow, and now even her raiton ninjutsu abilities were hindered useless. Neoko felt cornered with only one option left at her disposal, and that was genjutsu. She hated having to use it for any reason, for life had taught her that mental pain was always worse than what one could do to her physically. Looking to Ryo, she held up a single rat handsign as leaves from the flowers surounding them began to circle around Ryo. If he couldn't find a way to escape it, he would be insnared in the genjutsu, and Neoko would have her opening to attack.
Jutsu used.....
Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique)
Type: D-rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m)
Narakumi no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The ninja will use the rat hand seal to cause a circle of leaves to spin and envelop the target and then fall away. Once cast the world will appear normal to the target until they see the illusion.
