Arisa flashed her devilish grin towards the pair, and laughed as she saw their nervous expressions

Arisa stopped right in front of them, staring them down. "Sup first years." She said the words with a devil smile, and her words came out almost like the sound of a snake. She was, after all, a slytherin

Arisa's glare sent daggers into Vanessa. Then she relaxed herself. "What?" she started "We slytherin can't be friendly to people? Such a shame. You write us off just because of former students in slytherin." she shook her head in mock offense

Arisa sneered t this cocky little vampire. "don't test me." she said as she walked away

Vanessa smirked as Arisa walked off. "Well, she's a second year. She was one of us last year, so she can't say anything." she snapped. Vanessa waved good-bye as she briskly made her way to the Hufflepuff table.

Leighton took his time in entering the dining hall. He was a third year in Ravenclaw. While passing Arisa, he bumped her. "Oops." he said coolly. His bright gray eyes stared at her. He half smiled and walked away, making his way to the Ravenclaw table. Before he sat down, he hugged Vanessa with a smile. "Hey, first year." he said mockingly. Vanessa laughed and playfully punched him.
"Go sit down, Leighton. You'll get in trouble." she joked. Leighton gave her one last hug and sat down at the Ravenclaw's table with his dark friends. Leighton held the reputation as a dark and mysterious boy, otherwise the "hot bad boy" to girls.

Leighton stared at Vanessa from his table, waiting for her to catch gazes. Finally she looked up, and Leighton winked at her. Vanessa smiled and winked back, then turned to her new friends. One, named Kyree, turned to Vanessa. "Vanessa I can't believe we're here! This is place is so amazing. And, oh my gosh, we're going to be able to magic. But, of course, you have powers and experience with magic so I'm sure you're used to this stuff, you know?" Kyree rambled on as she stood on the edge of her seat, her misty eyes widened and her short, black hair caressing her soft rosy cheeks.
Kyree was beautiful, but a rambler.
Vanessa only smiled and nodded, and continues socializing.

As for Leighton, he sat silently amongst his many friends. His friends were pretty silent as well. They talked of how boring the classes are and such. Leighton was like the leader of the clique. His "groupies" always turned to him for orders or suggestions, etc. "Hey, man, what's with you and that first year?" his friend, Riku, asked Leighoton.
Leighton chuckled as he glanced over at Vanessa. "Don't worry about it, dude."
Riku raised an eyebrow. His other friend, James, spoke up. "I heard she's going out with another first year. Name Fred or something with a 'K'. Saw 'em hanging out." he added.
Riku looked at James. "Dude. Fred starts with an 'F', numb nuts." James mouth went to an "o" form as he nodded and shut up.
Yeah, Leighton's friends weren't the smartest, but they were still his friends.

Vanessa found herself laughing with her friends. Most of the girls talked of boys with blushing faces, but her, Kyree, and Xiola talked of Quidditch and classes. Kyree was the race of angel, Xiola was immortal.
Then Dumbledore came to the stand and explained of rules but of course no one seemed to listen. That is, until he offered the students to explore the school and socialize. He dismissed the group and students rushed out the large corridor doors.
Vanessa said her good-byes to her friends as they scurried off to the Hufflepuff dormitory. Leighton caught up with her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "So, first year," he teased, "Where to first? We can do anything you want."
Vanessa looked up at the handsome boy. "Well, can we wait for my friend, Kirk?"
Leighton seemed to shift uncomfortably. "Uh, sure." he said as he tightened his grip on her, feeling as if Vanessa would suddenly evaporate into thin air.
