Dre nodded before answering Agito. "Hey, Agito." He pushed his hands into the pocket of his pants as he looked around the room, more people had began to show up, but he knew there were much more Striders then this. He sighed as he walked off into a random direction, until he found a wall. He leaned against the wall as he simply watched the people, this party looked as if it was going to be interesting.

“We can hope,” Mori replied, though her tone betrayed exactly how skeptical she was. Her youngest daughter’s aversion to strangers has almost made her tell the Captain that she and Jon weren’t going to come to this little party. Her instincts as a mother tended to trump her sense as a Strider. It had been Jon who pointed out that the captain usually got her way regardless of what they did. However, Mori just adjusted her hold on a wiggling Kalina as the captain and her current escort (who surprisingly wasn’t the thief king) approached. “Hello,” she greeted with a smile, agreeing to be polite. “I am feeling better, thank you.” Recovering from birth hadn’t been an entirely pleasant experience, but now Mori was much better. She did recognize Loki, a little, but she was a little reluctantly to immediately hand her children over. She barely knew him, after all. Thankfully, he appeared to have his hands full.
Dae whimpered slightly in her father’s hold, but otherwise seemed to be handling herself rather well. The two new people weren’t entirely strangers, after all. The woman with the white hair was someone she had met before, and had been quiet and soothing then. As for the other man… Something about him seemed familiar, even if she didn’t think she had ever met him. While she didn’t reach for the captain, she didn’t start wailing either.
Kalina, however, was completely relaxed even around these strange people. She was even ignoring her sister’s discomfort. Instead, she was distracted by what was in the familiar stranger’s arm. All she knew was it was fuzzy and cute, like and Dae’s toys. Dae wasn’t big on sharing her kitty, maybe this person would share his. She squirmed in her mother’s hold, reaching slightly in the direction of the toy that she wanted to see better.
Puck was growing more worried as this conversation between Anlu and the captain continued. He tried to cut off the worry when the captain left, but Anlu’s thoughts weren’t helping. At all. When she mentioned wanting something to drink, he took the idea and ran with it. Leaning down, he kissed her temple. “Go sit down for a moment, and I’ll bring you something,” he offered, “Wine? Or something else?” He certainly needed to get a little drunk and numb his emotions. This party already had him on edge…
He blinked in surprise, but pointedly took the glass and set it aside. “Not what I was complimenting,” he told her with a throaty chuckle. He was enjoying coaxing these reactions out of her. As entertaining as she could be when she was in a temper, the fact remained that her reacting to him this way was great for his ego. He was careful to avoid her tail, though. He had a feeling if he annoyed her, he would get whapped. Instead, he carefully pressed a kiss to her bare shoulder, hoping she would figure it out.

Pippa purred loudly at being held and stroked, though her large eyes blinked as she gazed at the two babies in the arms of Mori and Jon. She mewed quietly and tretched a paw out as if reaching to touch the stuffed kitten in Dae's arms, then, giving up on that and noticing the reach towards her by the other, she stretched out a paw to touch Kalina. She mewed again and then purred once more, managing to wriggled her way out of Loki's graps and land lightly on Mori's shoulder. Her big eyes blinked at Kalina before nuzzling the baby.
Her eyes briefly closed as he kissed her, and she leaned on him for that moment as well. "I'll take anything right about now... though, I really don't want to get drunk... I have a feeling I might..." She stopped there. If her immunity was gone, she could get alcohol poisoning, too. "Ah... I'll just settle for water, actually..." She tried to give him a reassuring smile before going off to sit down and contemplate to herself. Whta was she going to do... this was supposed to be a fun night, and she had already ruined it for Puck. How stupid could she be, reacting that way. She should have pretended it was nothing. But would that help?
Oh... he was... complimenting... her? Claire bit her lip lightly, careful of her own fangs. "I see, well... ah.. thank yo-" She felt his kiss on her shoulder and immediately took the cup he had set aside and drank it's contents. Sweet... it was oddly sweet... She poured herself another almost immediately. Subject... she needed a subject to... um... talk about. "So... how did your uncle manage to drag you here...? I thought you were set on not going?" Brilliant topic, Claire... just brilliant... It didn't help that her breathing was becoming shallower... and her heart beating faster. How the hell could he do this to her? Of all people, she had only eyes for Lord Fleur, and now... this... this Demon from a clan that had been exterminating her own was... kissing her, as he had plenty of times before now, but not getting into that, and touching her and... she was enjoying it. Why?!?
Dre seemed to be an odd one, to the two sisters, so they shrugged in unison. With a smirk, Clea quickly whispered that she would be heading elsehwere in the room and gave he rlittle sister a wink before disappearing. "Ahhh.... this is a familiar feeling, my sister leaves me and my traitor nekomata is hanging on other peopel... oh well." She gave AGito a small smile, the color of his hair catching her attention once more. She definately like it better that wa... rather than pink. "So... sicne we've been left alone... shall we go do something?"

"Wonderful." the woman smiled, glancing at Jon in the background. She watched the young child reach for Pippa, and Pippa in turn reaching back. It was rather cute, really. The captain raised an eyebrow as Pippa jumped to Mori's shoulder, wondering if the young woman would be okay with it. She was ready to reach for the small creature in case the girl reacted negatively. The captain glanced about, noting more and more people coming in, yet still no sign of the bandit. She couldn't help but wonder where he was, but figured he'd be along soon; she doubted he'd pass up a party. Or seeing her in a dress, for that matter.
Agito noted the smile on the other girl's features, unable to not return the small gesture. She was pretty when she smiled; she was always pretty, really.... Wait... he shouldn't be thinking that. It would be weird, right? His expression faded slightly when she mentioned doing something. "You know that the captain would beat us if we tried leaving, right?" he asks, completely serious.

She could help the laugh that came from that comment. Agito looking so serious didn't help either. "Sounds like fun, actually... I wasn't referring to leaving, anyway... I just, still, don't know what to do... I mean... most people are just mingling... the kids are already driinking..." She noted Claire and Robin with a nod of her head. "... and the music hasn't started, not that I can dance or anything..."

Noting her laugh, Agito's expression lightened. "Ah. Good." he smiles faintly, following her nod to see Claire and Robin. "Oh my..." he mumbles, noting how close the two were. He blinks, a tad surprised considering how they had acted when he was around, but turns back to Izzy after a moment. "You can't dance?" he asks, his head tilting slightly to the side in question. It was a habit picked up from the captain, who did such when uncertain or confused. "I could teach you?" he offers, a small smile forming. He liked dancing, after all; it was one of few things he was actually good at. She had been training him lately, he figured it was about time he taught her something too. "It's not hard, really. Especially if you have a partner who knows what they're doing... So don't dance with the captain." he gives a small laugh, amused at his own joke. Hopefully the other woman wouldn't hear him; she didn't like people bringing up her faults.

She shook her head, quietly, her short hair swishing about. "My sister does that sort of thing, the singing, the dancing, and all sorts of other facy stuff, I suppose... I'm just the fighter of the family, I guess... not much else to me." She shrugged simply and wondered if that Claire girl would smack the other demon... he was too close at least that's what it looked like. Then again... maybe demons did that sort of thing early in life? She didn't want to think about it. "Um... I suppose you could try to teach em... I can garuntee I'll end up either tripping, or stepping on yuo, though..."

"I don't mind." he answered almost immediately. His features were notably lifting in expression, and a smile had formed at his lips. He directed her to the only empty corner of the room, leading the way. "It's not hard. I'm sure you'll be able to get the hang of it." he reassured her, turning to face her once they were well away from the slowly growing crowd. He holds out his hands, one level with her waist, the other lifted to that it bent at the elbow, and his hand was about even with her shoulder. "Most dances have this base form. The speed varies depending on tempo, but generally people Waltz to most songs. It's the only dance the captain knows how to do" he grins faintly, waiting for her to step forward to take her place. "You left hand goes on my right shoulder, the other you use to hold onto mine." he tells her, hoping she would get the hint.

Izzy allowed herself to be led along to the empty corner of the room. So, she would be learning the waltz first... that was one her sister was fond of. The girl eued Agito's positioning, and with hesitation stepped forward, placing one hand on his shoulder and the other in his hand as suggested. This was wierd... it was close... or close enough, she supposed. "Alright... what's next..?" It was the tseps right? Or was there soemthing else?

"There are three beats in a dance suited for the waltz." he tells her, doing his best not to blush at the contact. "I said it's simple, but I suppose it's not easy for everyone.... All you really need to worry about is the basic steps and following my lead." the man lead in the Waltz; that much was non-negotiable. "First, I step forward with my left... so you step back with your right." he did so hesitantly, waiting for her to step back so he wouldn't step on her. "Next I step to the right with my right foot." he glanced up from watching their feet, noting her expression. "So you step left with your left foot.... Then bring your feet together." he stops, looking up once again to smile at her. "Then we do the opposite." he smiles, figuring he'd get her used to the steps before they started on the turning.

Izzy couldn't help but look down as Agito instructed her. She stepped back, watching him step forward, and then stepped to the side. When he said to put her fett together, she started to slide the foot she had just moved back to the other, but corrected herself when she felt Agito going the other way. The mistake made her blush instantly, so she kept her head down. This was quite... awkward... Still, it was a bit/... nice, she supposed. She was elarning a new thing. It was definately somethign she wouldn't normally do... but this was a break from work, she figured...

The boy started again, this time stepping forward with his right. "It won't be hard as long as you follow my lead.... Or whoever's lead you're dancing with." he adds the note at the end, wondering if she'd dance with him at all. He noted the blush on her cheeks, and responded with a good natured smile. "You're doing great. You haven't stepped on my foot yet." he reassures her, thinking she'd be fine as long as she remembered to follow.

Loki noded slightly to the lady holding the two youngens and then looked at the little ones who were staren at him and the small one in his arms. Loki reached and tweaked them both lightly on the nose laughing to himself. Loki looked to the woman and said. "How are you fairen?" Loki looked to the captain and sent her a message telapathicly. You would throw a party for such small little ones I wonder if Raigon will be in charge of tutoring them in the ways of poison or would you rather take that pleasure for youself mistress.

Izzy started again with him, this time not making the same mistake twice but still staring down at their feet as they moved. The brief moment she decided to look up, she slipped and fell forward, trying to catch herself. "I don't think I'd be able to dance with anyone else without looking like a total fool... I coulodn't live with myself..."

Actually, I think their father will handle that himself. she informs him quietly, doing her best not to draw the attention of the telepaths in the room. He's rather adept at poisons, as far as I can tell. I'm better with medicine, really, but you aren't to tell anyone that. she watched both the Guardian and the nekomata interact with the baby Kalina, and smiled faintly. It was a cute sight, really.
Supporting her weight as she seemed to slip, Agito laughed lightly. He wasn't mocking her, not at all, but it was just strange to see her struggling with something. She always looked so strong and confident... and now she was just trying not to step on him. "You'd be fine." he tells her, not convinced of her words. "You're doing so well. I don't see why you think you'd make a fool of yourself."
