A grimace crosses the Cathan's face, "If I may, cap'n, but I'd be better off here on the Walkurst." Really, he was along more for technical support. Sure, he had some firearms training and had passed the proficiency exams, but he wasn't exactly combat-trained.

Aleron sighed. "Yessir...sorry sir..." he said quietly, petting Mace. Looks like he'd need to earn more respect before his tactics were taken seriously. He couldn't help but wonder if she had even bothered to look over his files, or just begrudgingly took on the new guy...

"I didn't say I'd be taking everybody, Mio," she assures him. "I need you here to monitor the situation, anyway." She had, after all, only summoned combat personnel to the bridge. She wasn't going to take anyone she didn't think could handle themselves into an unknown situation.
As far as Aleron's suggestions, it wasn't that she didn't respect his suggestions or that she had 'begrudgingly' took on anyone. It was merely his delivery. And the fact that he seemed to have so damn many suggestions. No one liked it when a person second-guessed every last thing they did.

(Ack! Sorry! )
Aurora is hardly bothered by Misha's smirk. Some people loved their jobs, perhaps a little too much, but that was their business. What got on Aurora's nerve, most though, was her slightly-more-than-occasional insubordination. She just gives Misha a nod when she enters.

((Sorry, browser keeps crashing, but you now has a medic. 3nodding ))
Right, right," Mio says, looking a bit relieved. Turning back to his station, he pulls back on the yoke slightly, easing their velocity gently to bring the Walkurst to a synchronous orbit with the debris.

Misha would turn and look at the monitor and then over her shoulder slightly, "Permission to ask? or do I even want to know?" Misha smirked under her helmet she loved getting under the Captian's skin a little, it seemed to bring out the best in her. She payed almost no mind to the Cathan or the human and his companion. She didn't much care about them at the moment, simply because there was no need to...

((Whoo! Elise got in! ^.^)) Aleron glanced to Misha. "Long story short, destroyed ship, another garbled distress call/warning message, 1 reading of a survivor. And we get to play hide-and-seek." he said, being a bit more serious as they were getting closer to the ship. He kept constant watch. "Sir, are you...sure that's a life-reading? It's so faint, it could be some sort of...glitch, heat pocket, even some plant in an air-tight locker...." he asked, trying to pull up more specific data.

Miya opened her eyes as she woke up, stretching a bit. It wasn't immediately clear how long she'd been asleep, but she had a feeling they were getting close to their destination. With a glance around the room she got up and got dressed, put her med-kit backpack on, and quietly made her way to where she sensed several life-forms in one area. That had to be where the rest of the group was.
Upon spotting everyone else, she slowed down and looked around a little nervously. This wasn't like anything she'd ever done before. "Excuse me, I do not wish to be rude by possibly speaking out of turn, but are we at our destination yet?" she asked just under a normal speaking volume, her light musical voice slightly muted from shyness.

Mio starts typing one-handed while his other continued the gentle braking. "The Walkurst has top-of-the-line sensors, Aleron. That's a life-sign, though I will grant a possibility, unlikely as it is, that it's a glitch," he explains, sending over an improved set of readings to Aleron's station, "Anyway, plants give off different readings, and this one's definitely a human life-sign."
On the view screen, the debris field was much closer, with the torn remnants of the biggest remaining chunk of fuselage revealing it as a class-II transport to visual confirmation. From the way the damage pattern looked, it seemed like it had been ripped open by an explosion.

"Well, let's double check, shall we?" Aurora makes use of the intercom again, this time limiting the channel strictly to the sickbay. She was about to summon the medic to the bridge when she, coincidentally, showed up. "Ah, Dr. Kubotamari. Good timing. Can you tell us if there are life signs on that ship?" she asks, beckoning her over to show her.

Misha smirked at the response and thought to herself, "Bug hunt huh?" She would dismiss he thought rather curious why someone would thorw themself into this situation and seem totally unprepared. Her eyes trained on Aleron a moment then over to Mio. She didn't know either of them as for the Dr. Misha knew nothing of her as well. She had only briefly met the Captain so she wondered who besides her and captain actually had live combat experience. She sighed slightly and it was barely audible but anyone near her that was even slightly skilled with psonic powers would have picked up on her thoughts and even her unamusement and worry for the safety and success of this mission...

Miya looked over as she was addressed, nodding her head at the request. With long, graceful strides, she went over to have a look. After looking at the heat-signature and data, she thought for a bit, then nodded again. "Yes, I would say that, with the available data, it is very likely that there is life on that ship." She'd heard Aleron's worries when she walked into the room and glanced over at him, then back to Aurora. "Though, once we get closer, I could probably find out a bit more accurately...and if there is anyone, I could guess how badly they're hurt," she replied with professional confidence, though still a bit quietly.
