Is Astronomy an advanced class optional at third year, or is it one of the basic classes?

Rachel Genova MiniMidget I'll have to go eventually too. I have to sit in mass for four hours for my mom's sake, even though I'm totally athiest. Apparition is barred. Flu powder works, though I would assume you wouldn't want to get caught in the act of it by a teacher.

Edit- Cheenips, you people are fast to post. XD Oh, I was reflecting on that one time that Harry was trying to contact someone via flu powder and Umbridge was all hangry and angry about it. But yeah, flu powder works. And "portkey" is the name of the object charmed to take you to another place. Someone was asking for the name.

New Question:
How are we determining Wands? Should we just give them what they want? Should we make them take a quiz to determine the "parts" inside of the wand? Size/Color/Specialty of that specific wand? ((You know how each wand specializes in one specific art so you'll do better in that subject; such as how Lily's was Charms.))
Opinions?
Edit- On a side note; does anyone know what the 4 Houses represent? I know Gryffindor is Friendship; I believe Slytherin is Trust; Ravenclaw is Intelligence; and... I'm not sure which Hufflepuff is...

Urk. I'm senile and I have horrible memory retention. ._.
And now I'll have to go re-read the Harry Potter series before I embarrass myself any further.
Another thought: We'll need a hospital wing too.
Oh yeah, and if you need professors I can offer to RP teach divination and muggle studies. And any other minor NPC type characters we'll need.

I think we should ditch the quiz. After investing a lot of time reading and memorizing the game system, reading into the story line, coming up with a character, and writing up a profile, I think a quiz would be a bit much. Some people just want to get things done so they can go straight into the RP. And how would we go about the quiz?
I thought it was
Gryffindor: Courage, loyalty, chivalry.
Slytherin: Ambition, leadership, resourcefulness.
Ravenclaw: Creativity, intelligence, learning.
Hufflepuff: Hard work, tolerance, loyalty.

@Mini: The Quiz should be taken before joining the guild... like... it should be part of the Join Request or before starting to Rp. You should be sorted before you make your charrie. 3nodding

Mm... that sounds good and all, but what about people who like to make more than one character? A character from one house and then make a character from another house?
lol. ideally, I'd make my character first and then figure out which house he/she would fit in. But if the RP activity is low, I'll shoe myself in the more populated community. ((Like with WotN, I would prefer a water/ice themed village, but Konoha has more activity and it had nicer looking/organized threads *shallow*. Don't really regret it either.))
