"My name is Red, this is Gail. The others have no say, and I doubt you will remember their names ten minutes after you leave, not trying to be rude."

"Oh, no need to be sorry. Most of the time I forget Steven's name as well."

"Umm... sir?"

"What is it now Steven?"

"My name's not Steven..."

"What is it then? Savant? Servant? Wow, that's a odd name. Go get water."

"Never mind. What kind of water, sir? Muddy, clear; those new water filters they have that makes the water's like a stream?"

"What? Ew. Streams are gross. Just from a clear puddle. With no bugs flying in, or around it. Oh, and Steven?"

"On it, sir. Clear water, with no bugs in it. Excelent choice sir. Yes sir?"

"Of course it is. And don't get yourself killed. I'm not going to replace yet another vampire. It's hard enough as it is!"

"Right! No dying, and get water. Right!"

He watched as Stephen ran off, and scurried closer to Red in a smooth movement. He wanted Red to trust him, but not too much. It made him annoyed when they were as loyal as Stephen... then again, it was quite useful. Quite useful to have someone waiting on you hand and foot. But vampires such as Jimmy were what made the world, and what a idiotic world it was.

He sighed, flickering his bright-blue eyes around a few times, and watched as Stephen hurried back with a canteen of water.

"Here you are sir! The water you asked for!"

"Thank you for saying the obvious, Steven."

"Your welcome, sir."

"I meant that as a retorical statement, Steven! Don't answer me when I'm doing that! And I meant that with a dose of sarcasm!"

"Right, sir!"

"I meant that as a retorical statment as well!"

"How am I supossed to know when it's like that?"

"Trust me, Steven. You'll know. Anyway... where was I? Oh!" He turned to Red again with a smile, and offered her some of the water. "Would you like some? Anything at all? Steven does anything, you know. Watch." He turned to Steven, smiling friendly. "Steven!"

"What is it, sir?"

"I need you to get me some elbow grease!"

"On it sir! What type of elbow grease would you like?"

"Just the normal kind, Steven."

"Right sir!" Once again, Jaeger watched Steven hurry off, and, with a cruel, evil chuckle, he turned back to Red. "See what I mean? Easy as Jimmy gets lost. So easy, in fact, that I might just let him get captured, point and laugh while he's being killed, and then go home! It sounds so much easier and funner then what I was planning on doing."

"Okay, I'll help you."

"Wonderful! Now, all I have to do is call Steven back. STEVEN! GET THE HELL BACK HERE!" Stephen scurried up, still holding another canteen, which he took massive gulps of.

"Sir, I couldn't find the elbow grease, SIR."

"Whatever, Steven. Come on. This fine young elfy agreed to help us! So were going to find Jimmy again!"

"Wonderful plan, Sir! I love how your wonderful mind works!"

"Alright, Steven... just not too much love." The older vampire looked grossed out slightly grinning, and turning to Red. Well, this was super helpful, and he was glad that she had agreed to help. He did love helpful people; just not like Stephen. Who was so helpful, that he was unhelpful. If that could ever be possible at all. Still, he wondered how minds like Stephen's worked. Did they think before they do these things? Did they have objections? Or were they really that stupid? He hoped it could be the latter, so he could make fun and tease them when they got back home. Ahhh, he loved a good days work. Mostly the rest they got to do when they got back home. Lucky elves; they got all the rest they needed, but vampire's were almost paranoid in the fact that they thought that elves would attack any minute. Well, some vampires. Jaeger regullary rejoiced in the fact his leader wasn't. It was a thing to be happy about, and indeed he was. Quite.

"What?

Right!"

This was a very odd couple of vampires, and still in their presence she felt nervous. Always nervous. She hated it. Whilst the vampires talked, she strained her ears to the sound of the little ones scurrying through the forest. But soon enough they were far enough away that they really can't be heard anymore, and she gauged that they were about twenty yards from the town. She had very good hearing, which she was thankful for.

"Here you are sir! The water you asked for!"

"Thank you for saying the obvious, Steven."

"Your welcome, sir."

"I meant that as a retorical statement, Steven! Don't answer me when I'm doing that! And I meant that with a dose of sarcasm!"

Elbow grease? Seriously? This kid was on the verge of very stupid...She shook her head, telling herself to just forget that thought before she decided to say something stupid that would get her into trouble. Since she was one elf against two...Even in the other was a teen. They were still all very strong. Now that she thought about it, she was a little parched, and was afraid if she trekked out into the woods she would get dehydrated.

"Sure, I wouldn't mind some water."

The elven woman replied. She took the canteen and took a few small gulps, before wiping her chin of some dribble and handing it back to the vampire.

"Wonderful! Now, all I have to do is call Steven back. STEVEN! GET THE HELL BACK HERE!"

"Sir, I couldn't find the elbow grease, SIR."

"Whatever, Steven. Come on. This fine young elfy agreed to help us! So were going to find Jimmy again!"

"Wonderful plan, Sir! I love how your wonderful mind works!"

"Alright, Steven... just not too much love."

What was that supposed to mean? Too much love? She banished the thought, before turning her attention back to the vampire and away from her thoughts. If she kept a good attitude then maybe she would get back to town after this ordeal unscathed. That would be nice.

"Okay, well then shall we? Lead the way."

Red told him, since he knew which way he would have gone more then she would.

Laphiette smiled softly. "My name is Laphiette, and I will join." Maybe she had been misguided but she could smell fight about the two. She turned to watch Tira walk off and was confused but decided she would stay with Andre. She wouldn't admit it anywhere near yet but there was a small crush on the guy. This was amazing considering she was basically anti-humanity but stronger than this anti-relationship. Laphiette watched him, "So you are Andre then?

『 Akai Morin 』

#A slender flame burns at the edge of my heart
#Without warning, it spreads into a burning passion
#My butterfly, flitting around it chaotically
#Scales dropping into your hand

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗
Akai sat in the Head Office's antecamber, feeling very sorry for himself. Why had his father seen fit to make him the new Leader of the Dark Elves clan? He'd agreed only because it was the man's final wish that his son succeed him, but in thruth Akai knew nothing about leading a clan. At least he had people to help him; the Council and what not. But he had a long way to go before he'd even begin to live up to his father's name. Oh, well, he thought to himself. I'm the Leader now, or at least I'm about to be, and I guess I've got not much choice in the matter. Father wrote it in his will, and I promised him I'd do my best.

The door to the main office opened just a crack, and a hesitant hand came out, gesturing for Akai to enter. He stood up and began the slow trek across the room to 'await his fate'. Gosh, the way he thought of it, anyone would think he was about to be sentenced to death! But, in Akai's mind, it was as good as. He'd never wanted to get into politics, but he couldn't deny his father his last wish. So, he opened the door and strode into the round room, ready as he would ever be to become Leader of his whole world since he was born.

"Yeah, that's me."

A
ndre watched Tira walk off. That was a little rude of her but he supposed it was normal. He would call after her though, "'Ey! You're not going to take her to-"

S
he had left. What a pain...although there was a small amount of sympathy for her. He wasn't sure if he could deal with such extreme mood changes "24/7". Despite what had just occured, Andre would turn back to- "Laphiette was it?"

T
he nickname 'laphie taffy' came to mind but he'd refrain from sharing it. He'd smirk at the thought though and nod to the direction of the academy.
"C'mon, I'll show you where to go...this city is a little unstable right now as command seems to keep shifting from person to person. But maybe if you can secure a commanding position then...then maybe something can be done about all of this."

"
All of this" he said. Laphiette would have little understanding of what that meant. Andre had a flame of desire burning in his heart. The heat of his ambition making the blood run through his veins. Just what was going on through his head...?

"I will warn you, though...I kind of don't like hanging around the place..."

~the Twisted Jester, Myth~
~Come now- laugh at me, everyone~

Myth grinned triumphantly at a group of young elves, almost choking on their own laughter, then glanced around- the sound of footsteps- oh dear.. the little things parents hated her being anywhere near their children- something about insanity...
She grinned, put a finger to her lips, and disappeared in a cloud of mist, not really thinking about where she was going..
She re-appeared in a round room, glancing around to see.. the next in line for the crown?!? She doubled over with laughter- the idea of another sentence for death was too much to bear... She glanced up at the 'to be king' again, then burst out laughing again- but it wasn't out of joy- it was more out of the pain of a failure, and sheer insanity- hoo boy- if this new guy was anything like her father- she was screwed...
"screwed~" she said aloud, then burst out laughing again
"they did say I had a few screws loose.." she added, doubling over with laughter- the to-be-leader temporarily forgotten.
((aww.. poor Oaks- you seemed kinda lonley~))

Laphiette would not deny confusion. "Yes my name is Laphiette." She answered watching him guide her to wherever she was supposed to go. His words did not seem solid this made her think either he was unstable or she had come during a time of great chaos. She rebuttled mentally wondering if this was such a good idea or if this was a better time to attack and annihilate everything. She decided not to worry about it and instead listen. She had already thrown her word in to join why go back on it now. "Why is that?" She asked in referance to him saying he didn't like the place.

"...I don't like the idea of being raised as a weapon for a cause I can't fully agree with. And I don't feel that I need to learn about my abilities here. Mine aren't too complicated..."

H
e replied to Laphiette as they passed through the entrance gates. The academy's front yard was expansive and there were several groups of people participating in training exercises or using up their leisure time. Andre sighed and kept on walking forward, knowing that several pair of eyes would be locked on him, judging and criticizing. That he didn't care for but it didn't bother him too much. One of these days he'd really give them something to gawk at.

"Besides. If the council doesn't know of my abilities then they can't really use me anyway. At least that's what I think. Anyway...so what's your deal? What brings you here?"

User Image Laphiette wanted to laugh, "I have no need or interest to learn about my power. I'm fully in control and know my limits. I also don't need to be trained into a weapon for I already am one." She stated proudly. She didn't press the point yet however thinking a school yard not an appropriate location. In truth she didn't care though. "I came because I can't get stronger from my current state alone in the wilderness anymore. I need much more power and the best way to obtain it is by fighting alongside some of those who either share my strength or can open the gateways to the two areas I need for true obtaining of power. I've done my research." She finished smiling wry like.

Hector saw a Flash of light in the direction of one of the Research labs. He began to fly there. "Research lab 26 is there something Wrong" he said trying to communicate with the lab. he landed the was a large fire in front of him. He ran inside trying to find survivors. A Dark elf woman came running out of the Fire pit she left. The building began to collapse. He quickly flew out of there. The building fell to pieces. He began to fly back to the hanger

"You too, huh? Although I suppose your ambitions are a bit more...hmm I can't think of the word. But it doesn't sound like you're in it for the sake of satisfying a bloodlust. But I suppose if you want to test yourself I can spar with you for a bit. Besides it doesn't seem like the commander is here......."

A
ndre passed by Hector's office which was empty. How inconvenient. Although if one looked there was light to be seen every plight. Marry Poppins had something to say about that if Andre could recall and it had proven to be rather true. With a change of perspective an unfortunate matter could prove rather advantageous.

"I suppose now would be a good time to do that. What do you say? One on one, you 'n me? Dance dangerously under a rain of blood? Figuratively of course...I'd prefer not to stain my clothes with blood today."

~the Twisted Jester, Myth~
~Come now- laugh at me, everyone~

Myth pouted and folded her arms, completley forgetting that this elf was going to be the leader in a few hours. "aww- well you're no fun, are you..?" she asked, frowning slightly- Myth didn't like being ignored. Stomping her foot, she did a slow motion in-the-air flip, pausing upside-down, her face an inch away from Akai's. hello..? you.. alive..?" she asked, folding her arms, still upside down- bat style. "or are you asleep..?" she wondered aloud, wondering if she should shine some kind of light in his eyes to be sure.
"well, asleep or dead, anyhow~" she proclaimed happily, now having well and truly intruded upon his personal space- an undearing gift of hers.

Laphiette smiled dangerously then looked at him, "Where do you plan on having this spar, my powers tend to be a little destructive." She stated thinking this opponent would not like seeing other people die in a sparing match as an innocent bystander.

Kazu

A tall figure Sat in the darkness his eyes closed a weapon resting on the ground around him. His name was Kazu and he was a killer a vampire warrior of sorts he enjoyed it really, the fighting but he never spoke of the thrill he never even spoke unless he had to get a point across. He drifted his hand across the handles of all his weapons and slowly picked each up sliding it into it respective holster like a man handling spun sugar glass . he treated his weapons like priceless jems he cared for them always removing nicks and making sure they were in top form because a weapon in poor condition is more likely to get you killed. He smiled sliding the last one into its place before rising to his feet a moderately tall height his body slowly stretching as he started towards the exit from his hiding spot. He smiled under his mask it was almost time to start the fighting, almost time for him to do what he did best, killing time was about to start.

"There should be a place out back..."

Andre again lead Laphiette through the halls of the academy until they reached a door that led towards the back of the building. When they reached the outside there would be a water fountain with a statue of a cloaked figure on top. Apparently it was dedicated to one of the older founders of this place? Andre didn't pay too much attention when it was lectured on.

Anyway.

The place was large enough to spar in and that's just what the two would do.

"This should be fun...I haven't done this in a while."

He said as he scratched the back of his head.
