Chrono orders a drink from the bartender. The bartender hands him a drink.Chrono- "Thank you."

Chrono enters the Tavern from the circle of light.
The Water Time Lord takes a seat at the bar and
orders a drink. He contemplates the training battle
from a few days ago, upset that not only he lost,
but he had the nerve to think a lone Time Lord
could stand up to that many enemies alone.Chrono- "I stink of failure."

 Mell stomps into the tavern sulking, her gun slung over her back at a strange angle, and her coat dirtier than usual. If one were to look, they would find a small tear in her coat pocket. She clomps to her normal table, and then sniffs the air. Turning, she spies Chronos, and calls out to him. Mell-
"You need a bath. Whats'a matter?"

Chrono looks up at Mell from his drink.Chrono- "You're telling me. I just got handed a heavy defeat by 12 puppets in the training facility."

"I b'n robbed. Asses. why s'many?"Mell inclined her head to the time mage and adjusted her glasses to sit higher up. she made to put her hand in her pocket, then scowled, crossing her arms instead.

"Don't want'a sound mean, you ain't your daddy." Mell slide next to Chrono, her hand extended as if to lay it on his shoulder, but she retracted it at the last second, a blush barely visible on her face. She propped her gun beside her and ordered whiskey straight.

"Jus' cause the name's th same, don' mean you're him."
She shook her head and grumbled something under her breath, downing the whiskey in one gulp. She didn't wince. Her hand moved on its own this time, and was on the mans shoulder before she thought to stop it.
"Sides', you c'n be better'n him. Jus' need practice, yeah?"

Chrono looks up at Mell and wonders if her words are sage, or the ramblings of a drunk woman. The Water Time Lord chooses to accept the former.Chrono- "I think you're right. It might take time, but I will be a better Time Lord."

Mell nodded, her hand sliding from the mans shoulder, and a sad smile on her face.
Mell-
"Good. I don't wa't to see you down no more, ya underst'nd?"

Chrono's mood seems to shift for the better. The Water Time Lord rises from his seat and extends his hand towards Mell.Chrono- "Care to join me for a training battle in the Hut?"

"I would, but I have't take care'f an erran."
Mell let her had touch the time lords before lifting her gun and strapping it to her back. She took two steps to the circle of light, then abruptly spun on her heel and kisses Chrono lightly on the cheek. Her face was red as she ran out the tavern door.
ooc: I have a doctors appointment, or I would gladly take you up on that offer.
