Robin was too busy muttering to herself to realize that something was sneaking up behind her. Or rather, why would she bother looking? She'd yet to find any other sign of life, and she'd been preoccupied with her own negative, grumpy thoughts. Then, something had crashed into her back.

"Wha-?!"

She stumbled forward, stepping hard to catch herself, and nearly toppled forward. But her hands pressed against the floor, shoving herself back up before she fell completely. She bolted forward a few steps and then jerked around to catch the offender. What she saw was a man with long hair. "You! Watch where you're going!" she shouted, then paused, considering something, and frowned. "...hey, what the hell is this place? Do you know?" She had a feeling he didn't though. Someone who knew why they were here wouldn't be running around and recklessly running into people.

"Young one. Why do you cry?"

The voice was not unkind, but it was not sympathizing, either...and although her footsteps seemed not to have made any noise as her bare feet glided daintily down the hallways, Jihara was suddenly at Raziel's side. Her robes flowed around her, ethereal, as she knelt, her eyes piercing as she regarded him with a certain sternness.

"It does not do for growing men to weep like children," she said swiftly. "Dry your eyes."

Despite her strictness, there was a motherly aura about her. She watched Raziel intently, her dark eyes soul-searching, in a way. Undoubtedly, he was a prisoner of this...place, as well. It had been a long time since Jiji had been able to consider herself a 'prisoner' of anything. She could not recall how she had become bound to such a place, and could not help but wonder if she had been tricked by demons. To capture one such as herself was a near impossible feat, especially for humans...and yet, this facility was manmade, was it not?

Yet no man had demanded anything of her. Apart from the deep sadness she could feel resonating throughout the place - undoubtedly from whomever else was sealed away there - it seemed abandoned. No one had demanded wishes or prayers to be granted, no one had come to gloat or plead with her. It was as though the entities that were trapped along with her had simply been...dumped and forgotten. Locked away for no reason and abandoned.

She turned her attention back to the matter at hand, and from the folds of her robes, she produced a feather-light, shimmering hankerchief, holding it out to the boy she had come across. "It is unbecoming to snivel," she chided him.

" Oh gosh, I'm really sorry." Said the young man, sweeping his long hair back with one hand, and pushing himself up with another. " It's just I, well listen..." He heard something. "Woah wait, actually listen." there was a sound scratching sound coming from the hallway he was running from. Scritch. Scratch. The elf's eyes widened, it was the thing on the ceiling. Scritch. Scratch. it was getting closer, he would have liked to introduced himself and told her they need to move before it found them but..." Okay We don't have time for that. Come on!" He then grabbed her hand and tore off with her in tow. He'd carry her if she protested. He didn't like this, but, whoever she was it was for her own good.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 16, 2010 8:42 pm

Robin frowned, folding her arms across her chest again as she stared up at him, looking entirely unamused. "Listen to what?" she grumbled. He was just lucky he hadn't actually knocked her down. They might've had a problem then. But, what had he been running from? Then, she decided it might be wise to actually listen, and, well.. listen, so she did, and her eyes found themselves drifting toward the ceiling. Was something following him from the ceiling? But how was that possible..?

"Don't have-" she started, only to cut off as he grabbed her hand, and once more she found herself stumbling forward because of his actions. She skidded a little before picking up her feet and running after him, though she resisted slightly, half dragging as her skirt fluttered behind her. "H-hey, what are you doing?! Do you even know what you're running from?" she cried out, dragging her feet a little further as her head jerked around, eyes squinting toward the ceiling.

" Yes! No. I don't want to know!" They wouldn't make it if she kept struggling, he didn't want to do this but it looked like he had no choice but to carry her. He stopped, pulled her over to him and hoisted her over his shoulder, so she was facing behind him. She wasn't too heavy so it was pretty easy to keep moving. Well, unless she made things difficult as he ran. Which he tried his best to go his fastest. Behind them, the thing he was fleeing from approached overhead, quickly crawling along the ceiling on it's belly. A shadowy figure scraping it's way towards them with noticeable speed.

Hain didn't turn back, but bolted, turning corners and racing through corridors as fast as he could with his cursing cargo.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 16, 2010 9:34 pm

"What do you think you're doing?!" Robin shouted, thrashing at first as he hauled her up over his shoulder, her eyes widening in surprise. However, it didn't take long for her to quiet down again. She saw something. It was on the ceiling, scrambling its scratchy way after them, and for a second Robin's jaw dropped. She gave it a blank, startled stare, and her fingers shifted to grasp nervously at the back of the stranger's shirt.

However, it didn't take her too awful long to recover her voice. "Wha... what the hell is that thing?!" she shrieked, her eyes never leaving it. "It.. it's fast!" It was her first experience with something inhuman. Of course, she hadn't yet caught sight of her newest acquaintance's ears either.

xxxxxo. Juliet .o

(ooc: No longer going to put her words in bold. Only words that she's copying are in bold from now on. Hope that'll make things a little less confusing. :'3 )

At Darryl's expression after Juliet had admitted her age, she looked off to the side a bit uncertainly. Sure, she looked a little young, but she didn't look that far off the mark, did she? She never really thought about these kind of problems until they presented themselves to her, so she didn't have any comments to give other than a small laugh.

She was glad that he was on the same track of mind, "Yeah," She said with an affirmative nod before looking behind her, "These halls all look the same, but there's gotta be some kind of break in the pattern somewhere." She moved her hand from her ear and rubbed the back of her head in thought, giving her short mop of red hair a slightly more ruffled look, "We just...need to think of it like a puzzle instead of a circle. There's got to be an end somewhere..."

Her gaze drifted back to where she had come from. She recalled that the buzzing of electricity hadn't made itself as noticeable until she reached this corner. Along with the sound of dripping water and the occasional muffled voice or two. She couldn't pinpoint where any of these sounds were exactly (of course), but she had a feeling that going back the way she came wouldn't get them anywhere.

Juliet looked back up at her older companion, "I...don't think there was much of anything back the way I came. Just...a feeling..." She hoped that was vague enough to keep him asking too many questions.

Not that she had answers to any of them.

She attempted to push the hum of computers into the back of her mind and focus on the mumbling from somewhere nearby (maybe, she wasn't sure). If they were going to meet up with anyone, she wanted to know whether or not they were dangerous. While she didn't want to admit it, this sudden abnormal hearing of hers could come in handy. She hoped.

At first all she could make out past all the other noise in this place (and for such a seemingly empty building, there was a lot of noise) was a bunch of murmuring. It didn't really sound like talking at all. She stood still for a few moments, walking past Darryl and closing her eyes in an attempt to concentrate. A couple of seconds later she could make out a few words, 'boy, puddles, buzz...'.

She frowned, upset that she couldn't make out anything clear and deciding to give up for the moment. With a sigh, she turned back to face Darryl, opening her mouth in order to suggest that they'd have better luck going back the way he came.

But that wasn't what came out of her mouth at all.

"Oh ******** off."

.
.
.

Juliet's eyes went wide and she slapped a hand over her mouth, not sure whether to be more horrified at the fact that the voice that had just come out of her throat was not her own or the fact that she had just cursed at a cop.

'W-What...What was that?! That wasn't mine! That was...that was...whatever it was it was not mine! Agh! I'm probably in big trouble now! FFFFFFF...'

"Mmmph--" She had forgotten her hand was still covering her mouth, "I..." She started, slowly dropping her hand and feeling slightly relieved that it was her own voice that had come out of her vocal chords this time around. "M-Mr. Reed, I honestly don't know what-I mean, I didn't mean to say-That wasn't even my-I don't have disrespect for authority, I swear!" Juliet couldn't remember the last time she had been this flustered. "I'm really sorry sir. I can honestly say I have no idea where that came from," She put a hand over her mouth again and looked off to the side, thoroughly embarrassed with herself and confused beyond all reason.

Something was definitely wrong with her and she had a feeling that it was getting worse.

Whatever it was.

♦ Raziel

Raziel looked up to Jihara, her arm outstretched with a handkerchief. Raziel's eyes grew wide and he scrabbled across the room to the far corner. His voice was raspy and cracked from misuse, "W-w-who a-are you...? What is t-this p-p-place?" His eyes dried up as the loneliness was replaced with fear; before him was a strange woman in a strange place. Raziel was most fearful that there wan't any place to run for Jihara was blocking the door.

Raziel stood up as some of the fear started to abate and finally drunk in the goddess's appearance. Her white hair and red robes were liquid. Even though she was crouched on the ground, immobile, her hair and dress continued to move. Or it didn't. Raziel still couldn't see straight.

There it was again, that sound that kept making him want to punch a baby. He couldn't readily tell what that god forsaken sound was, but, it kept going and going making him more and more irritable. He finally opened his eyes and looked around to see what that damned noise was. Much to his disappointment, nothing was in the room he had found himself in that was making that god awful noise. He calmly took a deep breath and got up out of the bed and headed over towards the door leading him out into a hallway. He hadn't left the room yet since he had awoke and found himself in said room. Normally he would be the first one out to explore but when he found his swords to be missing from his persons, he fell into a depression. It was almost kind of funny in a sick twisted kinda way. The man who could go days upon days of killing or 'loving' or whatever his idea of a good time was at the time, yet, when his only materialistic possessions were stripped from him he felt like he wanted to die.

He exited the room. Something as simple as that yet, it felt almost impossible with his babies being taken away from him. He shook his head and decided it was better to just jump into the fray then to try and p***y foot around it. He started to walk down the halls and look at the doors. Some were open, others not so much. He would look into the rooms that were open to see if others were inside them, and the doors that were shut, he'd check too. He didn't care what so ever if there was another human being in this place. All he wanted to do was get his precious lovers back. once he obtained them, he would be ready to take on anything else that was thrown his way. So he pressed onward, moving down the center of the hallway, without even blinking his eyes to find that which he held so dearly in his heart.

User ImageShock. Wonder. A little bit of Oh my god...

What just came out of that guy's mouth? Sounded like a whole 'nother voice...as well as something he didn't normally like to hear people to say to him.

        "Wha-?"

Once Jason explained himself, Darryl gave him a skeptical look. It actually reminded him of this one perp. Killed somebody over a pack of cigarettes, then tried to play of demonic possession. Good actor. But still obviously not perfect. And Jason...

Either this 'kid' was a better actor, had some mental problems, or something else was up...which wasn't good. Still, the guy seemed genuine in his apology, so the cop decided to shrug it off. "Don't worry about it. It's a stressful situation. And we'll get through it. Let's just start walking, okay? We might have a while to go, and standing around won't solve anything. So...Let's go." And with that, he started to head back from the way he came, looking over his shoulder to not only to keep an eye on Jason, but to make sure he was following, too. No need to leave him behind if he's an innocent person.

[ ooc: I'm so out of it right now...I really hate this post...but I have no creativity to change it. I'm so sorry, everyone. 3'; ]

Ƞormally, the kid would have been fully conscious (self conscious, rather) of the two watching him. Currently, however, he was worried about whatever he had seen and heard. Why did they not see it or hear it? It didn’t make sense. He should be perfectly sane. Insanity didn’t run in his family that he knew of. Maybe it was a recessive gene? NO. He couldn’t be insane. There had to be something going on, and, as much he hated to admit it…he needed to go in and figure it out. He really didn’t want to play detective, really.

“Uuuuugh.” Shaking his hand and running his hand through his hair, his light blue eyes gazed down the hallway, a spark flaring to life when them. He wasn’t crazy. What he saw and heard was real. He couldn’t prove it right now, but he would. Glancing back to the two, he rolled his eyes and waited for their whispering session to be over. He didn’t blame them. Really.

Following after them with his hands in his pockets, Jayden continued to glance around, constantly checking over his shoulder to make sure they didn’t miss anyone and that they weren’t being watched. The feeling of being watched lingered, but no one was getting caught with it. The crack drew him back, an eyebrow arching at the two and their antic. Maybe they were closer than they let on. After all…people who met for the first time normally didn’t smack one another. Staring at the two, he eventually stepped up his pace and followed after them, moving to walk next to Talon for the time being.

“…I have a feeling the cause of him running away isn’t just me,” he responded lightly, looking to where Maxxi had hit Talon just moments before. A frown soon graced his features as he continued to listen to the other. “I’m not ‘panicked’ about your opinion of me. I know what I heard. I’ve had the feeling of being watched since I woke up in this place, and it’s only gotten stronger the more I’ve walked around. I’m not justifying myself and trying to make you think I’m sane, but if we run into anyone, I have full ‘I told you so’ rights.”

He couldn’t help but smile lightly at the banter between the two. The more they walked; the buzzing noise gradually began to get louder. It couldn’t be too far away, now.

He merely shook his head at the two friends (they seemed to act like it, so he would definitely call them friends, even if they hated being called such) antics before pausing and looking to the other boy again. “…I know for a fact you didn’t say that twice.” For crying out loud, his mouth was closed. Looking to Talon, he pointed. “I told you so. I’m not hearing things. You had to have heard that.”

FOR GODS SAKE, HE WASN’T INSANE, AND THE VOICE JUST PROVED IT!…Although it was Maxxi’s and it could have been…an ech—NO. IT WAS TOO CLEAR. IT WAS A VOICE.

…Please let it be attached to an actual person.

Dropping his head, the blond teen continued to walk forward. The sound of footsteps came forward before a large, blocky, bulky figure seemed to emerge from a room. Jayden just stopped and stared, glancing silently at Talon and Maxxi with his jaw dropped, silently asking if the others saw what he saw. The large guy moved to look back at something that obviously held his attention for a bit.

...This guy was totally a kidnapper.

It only made Jayden's jaw drop more when he saw the person following him. This was not right. The man in him couldn't let some FAT GUY kidnap a PETITE, PRETTY GIRL and get away with it. Not while Jayden was around. Especially because the girl (from what he saw of her) was pretty cute. Sure, she was lacking a little...something, but hey. That wasn't everything. "Kidnapping b*****d. Give the girl back before letting us out of this place! I don't know about you, but you're completely outnumbered."

Ignoring Jayden's statement, Talon continued to smile at Maxxi with a sinister intention hidden underneath his eyes. So yeah, he was pushing it a little, but it was fun. As odd as it sounded, he enjoyed the bickering that came between him and the small one. There was only so much time before things would just fall right into place; exactly where he wanted it. Keeping up with antics and name calling would just have to continue. Though it would be different with a third member in there little group it wouldn't be that hard. Plus, Jayden was kinda kooky to begin with obvious.

        And on that note....

"You can have 'I told you so' rights all you want kid," Talon then looked over at the blonde, his smile fading into a slant as a serious look appeared on his face, "I still think somethings wrong with you. Paranoia, Schizophrenia, Sleep-deprived, Whatever. I just think your missing a few screws if your hearing voices." Why lie to the kid? Might as well be honest if they were all gonna be stuck with each other. Better to let him know where he was coming from now so later if it came to finding more people later and someone was getting ditched it would be-

        "Oh ******** OfF"

Talon froze and looked at Maxxi and Jayden. Jayden was rambling about he was right which in fact he was. Max stood frozen stiff, a look of confusion on his face as he turned and walked back to Talon's side. "What's wrong Baby Boy, little scared? Want me to hold your hand?" The brunette looked up at the taller male, though his face was pretty serious and his eyes were held up in a glare, he was definitely a little shaken. "I'm fine ... that was just weird" was the only answer he received as they continued forward.

The moment they saw him though, everything changed. Talon nodded to Jay, informing him that they actually did see him. Now he was really starting to think the blonde was crazy. How many things had this kid must have seen and not mentioned to them? Regardless, Talon moved forward, pushing Maxxi behind completely and holding him there. "Stay behind me and don't move." Max huffed but obeyed, he wasn't gonna fight him when he knew he didn't stand a chance against the large male. He watched as Jay obviously spotted the girl and the blonde began to rant and rave at the man who loomed in front of her. "Jay Don't! What if there's more of him!"

He was just being logical and he had to admit, the guy did not look very nice. If anyone looked like they'd be tied into how they all got here it would be him. And if it was him then they would have to take him down, and help the girl behind him. But to gather them all here, that man was in no way the only one behind it. There had to be more of them, especially since Talon was such a "wild fire".

"Baby Boy ... the girls bleeding I think."

Quick as a gun, Max looped around Talon. Holding his waist and leaning out the side he examined the girl. She looked panicked and there was definitely blood on her. It looked old and dry but still, not something to be taken lightly. If he could get to her, he could check her over and assess the injury. If there was one. From here, there was no chance of being able to help. "I can't see any wound or anything from here." A second later Talon stepped forward away from the brunette and slammed his fists together. A orange light irrupted from his arms as once again they were swept up in flame.

"We'll just have to get a little closer". Talon gave a quick nod to Jayden before dashing forward. He swung his arms forward at the larger male, trying to knock the man back with a fiery (quite literally) right-hook.

" I don't want to know!" He was curious, yes, but almost a few hours after he had woken up and started poking around, that thing started following him. The last thing he wanted for it was to catch up. " It's got to tire out sometime!" He shouted, turning a corner and bolting down another corridor. He wanted to duck into a room, but that thing would catch up a see where he went whenever her tried. He'd just have to gain some distance before he tried it once more.

The chase ensued for a while, they must have made a lot of noise, but once Hain felt they had gotten far away from it, or lost it completely, he darted into the nearest door he saw. Once inside he looked for cover, seeing a couch and dropped himself and his new acquaintance in front of it, obscuring them from view. Panting, he carefully craned his head around the arm of the couch, watching the door, and listening carefully for scratching.
        PostPosted: Thu Feb 18, 2010 9:09 pm

"Well I wanna know!" Robin snapped back, thumping Hain lightly on the back with her hand. She wasn't sure why she was letting him just carry her off like this. Being thrown over some stranger's shoulder was not at all an ideal situation. But, they were being followed, and she guessed he just wanted to help. Or rather, she'd gotten in the way and he didn't want to waste time explaining, but that's what she wanted the most. Explanations, and a ton of them.

For now she had to put up with being carried around like a doll, then abruptly tucked into a room behind a couch, where she quickly gained a disgruntled expression and folded her arms across her chest. Though, she did keep hunched down, she peeked over as well, refusing to be left out. "What's wrong with you?" she snapped in an only slightly hushed tone. "You can't just snatch people up whenever you feel like it! And you really don't wanna figure out what that thing was?"

User Image...Who the hell is this guy?

The guy, a twiggy little blonde, made Darryl raise his eyebrows. What the hell was he talking about? Kidnapper? Girl? Was he off his rocker?

So, in response, he reached into his pocket for his badge. That should get the guy's attention. Well, should've, but then he had a shirtless guy with tattoos come flying at him with WAS THAT A FLAMING FIST?!

The badge flew out of his hand and onto the floor, his boxing coming into play. He dipped under the punch, his fist flying forward into the man's gut with as much force as possible. Of course, if it connected, then another something the cop didn't expect would happen...

((OOC: Can you say NUMBING PUNCH? Of course, Fallen, that's if the punch connects.))
