Yumi speeds her Pearl down to Belpois Boulevard. She parks close to the curb and looks out the window. "Kurai, tell me. How the hell did you find this place? Somehow I don't picture you sewer diving."

"It's a long story," Kurai replied, "but to sum it up, I volunteered to go down into the sewers and find this really important key that some guy dropped down the manhole. Apparently, he worked for the government and that key unlocked something really important, so if he didn't find some way to get it, he was as good as fired, and yet he still couldn't stand to get his suit dirty. I went down the sewers and found the key, and I noticed a strange, out of place ladder that went below the sewers, and it made me feel that something interesting was down there, so I saved it for a later day after I gave him the key. The rest was curiosity and an open afternoon."
He opened the car door, but turned back and said, "Now we have to pay attention now. Like you pointed out, Yumi, normal people don't just hop into the sewers. Make sure there's no one looking before you go." Kurai got out of the car, casually walked over to the manhole and, while making sure no one was facing in his general direction, quickly lifted the cover, ducked under, and pulled the cover over him again.
He went down the ladder onto the cement floor and waited for his friends to come down.

"Right," she said and hung up her phone. Jennifer hid her bike off to the side of the man hole, about fifty yards away. She looked around, making sure no one was around, and climbed down the ladder into the sewer, pulling the cover of the manhole back into place as she did. She stood on the landing and looked at the second ladder, and instinctively repeated a line from a movie: "So, who want's to go down the creepy tunnel first?"
She looked down both ways of the sewer before descending the ladder, making her way to the super computer. When she made it to the super computer she looked around the area, noticing a small room. She decided to use that room to change her pants, now that she was out of the sewer. "Now all that's left is waiting," she said, leaning against the wall once she had walked out of the room in her usual black tripp pants.
((Sorry about the back and forth in time bit there))

"This is so not what I had in mind," she says to Simara as she gets out of the car. She puts her car keys around her neck and causally looks both ways before quickly removing manhole cover. She scanned the block for any onlookers once more before casting a smirk at Simara and making her way down the sewer. "One word," she says to Kurai as she meets him on the landing, "gross."

"Eww grooosss," she shuddered after hearing they had to go down a sewer. She closed the door of the car non too gently, walking around it to get to the manhole cover.
"Me either." she responded to Yumi. She turned all the way around making sure they weren't being watching before lifting the slightly heavy manhole cover. She quickly descended the latter, being careful not to touch the walls on the way down. She jumped the last couple of feet and landed in a crouch next to Yumi smirking as she stood up.

"Good, now that we're all down here, we may begin heading towards the supercomputer." Kurai led them over to a ladder and began to climb down towards it, with Simara and Yumi climbing behind him. At the bottom of the ladder was, quite oddly enough, an elevator. It was locked shut, with a keypad at the entrance requiring a password.
"We'll be taking a quick tour now of the facilities. I'll take any and all questions, as well as tell you the password to the elevator, when the tour is over." He leaned over the alpha-numeric keypad and, making sure no one, Simara or Yumi or anyone else who might have been there, could see, he input the password. The elevator opened, and the group entered. Kurai pressed the button to head to the supercomputer room. He wanted to give them a brief tour of the area before they made the digital jump.
When the doors opened, a giant circular computer, black with glowing orange lines, was in the middle of a circular room. Many wires from normal size to ginormous wound their way to the walls and up to the rooms above. "This is the supercomputer," Kurai said, "that houses all of Lyoko. We won't be in this room too often, though. The computer runs on a nuclear battery that only needs to be replaced once every five hundred years, and from what I can tell, it was replaced no more than a decade ago, so we're peachy on that note. Unless we need to make emergency repairs, we should be alright." Kurai pushed the button to make the elevator go one floor up.
The doors opened, and three tubes, each about twelve feet tall, were spaced equidistant around the circular room. The tubes were open on the side facing toward the center, and wires spread out from the top and the back of the tubes. A circular hatch was at the center of the room. "This is the scanner room. It's very simple: You step in the tube, face the center of the room, and wait. The tube will shut, and you'll be sent off to Lyoko. Also, when you're devirtualized, you'll be taken out of Lyoko and be rematerialized in one of these tubes." With that, Kurai made it go up one more level to the third and final floor in the Lyoko setup.
The door opened, and a giant holographic projection of the Lyoko universe was in the middle. To the side of it was a chair that faced towards both the hologram as well as many monitors that were right in front of it. A keyboard and mouse was placed right in front of the screens. "That console over there is where all the data of Lyoko can be viewed. Whenever necessary, I'll be sitting there monitoring the data." He turned and saw Jennifer leaning against the wall in her usual attire. "Oh, and there's Jennifer. Her being here and not calling means the coast was completely clear, and no one saw us on the way here, so everything's cool secret-wise."
"Right, I know we covered a lot, so I'll go ahead and take questions on what we saw so far. Don't ask me anything about the virtual aspect of it yet, though, we'll be getting to that after questions time."

Jennifer nodded at the mention of her name, both in a hello and in confirmation. "Unless you guys were followed, we're all clear." She pushed off the wall and joined the other three by the elevator.

"Wow" was all Simara could say. She stepped out of the elevator and slowly walked around scoping the room, nodding her hello to Jennifer, before heading over to the hologram. "So this is Lyoko, huh?" she commented while putting her hand into the hologram. She moved her hand up and down, left and right. It did nothing to bother the hologram so she dropped her hand back down to her side
"Cool" she said chuckling lightly, looking back at the others. "So, let me get this straight." she began looking at Kevin. "We disappear into those tuby thingies and end up there," she pointed at the Lyoko universe hologram. "and then what? We have a picnic or something?" Her face then became weary. "You sure we'll come back with all our bodily parts? I'll have you know I like my body parts, thank you very much!" she said hugging herself.
She looked to her long time friend, Yumi. "What do you think about all this?" She then glanced at Jennifer. "And what's her story? We don't know very much about her."

"What dipstick would leave all this expensive technogeek computer thingamajigs lying around. I mean haven't they watched the episodes of Futurama with the sewer mutants. Someone else has got to know about this. And once they find out that we know... who check the sewers for dead bodies..." Yumi trailed off as tour around the room picking up random objects.

"Alright, I'll start with Simara's questions," Kurai stated. "Yes, you will come back from Lyoko just the way you were before you went into it. And as for Jennifer, she's the reason why I send someone ahead to check. When I went to check it out for the first time, I was caught by her when I got out through the manhole, and the rest was me not being able to come up with a decent alibi. Besides, she makes a good part of the team anyway."
"And Yumi, he may have left it lying around, but he left it under a password-protected elevator that, trust me, took me weeks to hack, and that was with Jennifer's help. Trust me when I say that this thing is safe. And no one else has to know about this...not unless something goes out of hand, anyway, but Jennifer and I have already made a couple of jumps ourselves, and we're perfectly fine. It's all fun and games...well, almost."
Kurai walked over to the chair, sat down, and began typing. "It turns out that someone was in Lyoko before us. That person has been in there for a long time, and even to this day is unable to be devirtualized. I don't know how long he's been in there, but we need to try and get him out." Kurai pushed a button, and a communication screen popped up as it tried to search for Beau. "Are you there, Beau? There are some of my friends here who want to meet you."

Jennifer listened as Kurai explained and answered questions. She didn't answer for herself because she knew that they trusted Kurai and didn't know her. "And if we're lucky, devirtualization is going to be the most difficult part. Some crazy things were linked up to the one in France. Some people deny it, but the theories are out there. Whether or not they're true, I'm not sure, but regardless, it's better to be prepared for it." She walked over to the monitor, scanning the screens for Beau.

(( I have a really bad fever, so I apologize if something doesn't make sense. o_o)) A faint giggle was heard on the screen, then out popped an..upside-down boy? A bright smile slipped on his face as he waved his arms back and forth, swaying on the branch that he was hooked onto via his knees.
"Kuraaiii! Jen! Look what I can do-"
"Oof."
Halfway through his exclamation he had been unable to stay on the branch and fell onto the ground, back first.
"Wow!!" He sat up and rubbed his head, otherwise not perturbed from his high fall. His eyes sparkled with excitement as he looked them over.
"I'm so glad you brought more friends!" He waved at the group of teenagers, his hands hidden by his overly large sleeves. "And they're pretty girls too!"

Kurai made a small grin when Beau made a fall, remarking, "Careful, Beau, gravity is one of the things both Earth and Lyoko have in common." He then turned back to the rest of the group. "Well, we have three scanners and four people, counting myself, but I need to be up here to start the process anyway, so I can easily go last. I would like to ask anyone willing to be virtualized to proceed to the elevator and take it down to the scanner room. I'll begin preparing the program up here." Kurai turned back to the screen and told Beau, "With any luck, you may have quite a bit of company today, Beau. I'll send over as many of them as I can convince." He began typing on the screen, preparing the virtualization program.

Jennifer tried not to laugh at Beau, which was rather difficult. But upon hearing that Kurai needed volunteers for the scanners, she turned from the monitors and went towards the elevator. "Anyone else care to join me?" she asked, keeping her hand on the door to let either Yumi or Simara on if they wanted to.

Yumi breezed past Jennifer onto the elevator. "I hope this virtualization thingy don't make me look fat. If the camera adds ten pounds, how much does the scanner add?" She stares at Simara still standing in half a daze by Kurai. " Dude, come on! When was the last time you were thrown into a video game?"
