Pride scoffed a bit in Granite's face. "What're you a paladin?" Pride said with a stern look on his face. Without flinching a muscle, Pride sighed and shrugged his shoulders. "Why so attached to THIS particular slave, is none of my business," Pride said as he snapped his fingers. The vines receded away from Raven as they dropped her limply to the floor. "Such threats will never change my view of the world. Everything is below me," Pride said with a grin, "That is my purpose. The sin of man... Pride, the demon who holds no appreciation for anything."

"Wakey wakey eggs and bakey," Pride said rather cheerful, "Your mother here has changed my opinion somewhat." Pride stepped a little closer to them both. "But i gotta say.... mother-dear... why would you let your daughter become a slave in the first place?" Pride asked rather boldly.

"What about her father?" Pride asked rather interested, "Now that you have her, what are you going to do?" Pride sighed as he felt he was losing something. He hated losing, even if it was something he didn't like.

Pride began to walk away. "Sheesh what a drag, guess that's the end of that," Pride thought. Rather sad for some reason, Pride felt a swelling sadness dwell within him. He shook his head quickly and tried to regain his composure. "She's gone now, take it or leave it," Pride said almost to himself, "Why should i even care what she thinks?"

Suddenly Pride's ears heard something he never expected. "I wanna stay," Is what Pride heard. Whirling around, Pride looked deeply at Raven's eyes to see if she was just mocking him. "Seriously?" Pride asked, "Why would i want trash... I mean, why would you want to stay?"

Pride was surprised but not unprepared. Darkly looking at the both of them, Pride left the room and walked up the long, dark staircase to his chambers. "Suit yourself, the desicion isn't mine," Pride said finally. He bit on his tongue a bit, realizing that something about Raven actually compelled him to compliment her. Sadly that was against the very reason he was created.

Pride whirled around rather annoyed. "What do you want?" Pride said darkly. Watching her intently, Pride stood tall as a shadow overtook the room. His face was still scornful of his own misjudgement.

Pride's eyes narrowed. It was fixed on looking at Raven's eyes, in order to tell what she was thinking. "If your face is telling me what your thinking, and your speech is what i suspect...." Pride stated, "Then don't. Banish those feelings. I give nothing to anyone else, and no one gives anything to me." Pride turned away and made his way deeper into the darkness of the mansion.

Pride sighed a little as his assistant bumped into him. "Satine... forget it, we'll let this one slide," Pride said in a low tone. His mind was wandering elsewhere as he slid past her. "C'mon we've got work to do," Pride said as his eyes narrowed.
