Haine breathed heavily, the blade of the scythe still weighed on the ground. Her left arm still gripped her side, and she cringed as she placed a bit of pressure on it. "Oh?" Haine inquired, hearing him speak. She didn't have much energy left, and she'd used her last shikai attack. The only thing Haine could do now was use her first attack again, but it was unlikely that he'd get caught again. However, she could use the fact that he was blind on one side to up her chances of victory, however slim they might have been. In an attempt to regain a bit more of her energy, she tried to continue the conversation. "Just what do you mean by that, Ashiku-Taichou?"

"What do I mean?" Tao repeated, scratching his head. "Er..well, you actually had me worried with that attack, Lieutenant. The attack damn near broke the barrier around this sight. It take's quite a bit of energy to pull off something like that..." He paused. "Which makes me wonder....if you can manage that much power...perhaps you can also break through this next text!" He pointed Keibatsu at Haine. "Imprison, Keibatsu!" He shouted, and a dome of black energy began to circle around Haine, forming a sphere around her. She would be trapped within a dark void of Keibatsu's imprisonment. "This next task is simple, recover your energy and blast through the black barrier."
He tapped the flat of Meibatsu across his shoulder. "However, there is a time limit. You'll have to raise your riatzu within five minutes, otherwise Meibatsu with merge with the sphere and...well, just try to raise your energy in time, okay?" He sat down in front of the black barrier, waiting.

Haine's eyes grew huge. "A..Are you serious?!" She demanded, looking around frantically. Raise her reiatsu in less than five minutes? "You've got to be kidding me.." She muttered angrily, lifting the weapon up to rest on her shoulder. She closed her eyes in concentration, attempting to bring up her energy, and hence, avoid any injuries. Haine gritted her teeth, furrowing her eyebrows together. This was a Captain-level shikai attack, and it would take quite a lot to break it. She continued concentrating, imagining the black sphere breaking into millions of tiny fragments. A slight red glow formed around the girl's frame, growing bigger as time wore on. "Come on, Come on.." She murmured, frowning.

The sphere trembled slightly, catching Tao's attention. It held though, dispite the rise in riatzu he felt. "Come on kid," he mumble. "I know you understand this. Don't just draw on your own strength, draw on your Zanpakuto's spirit." He frowned. "When you fight together with your Zanpakuto, you realize how much potential you have." Three minutes passed. "You're cutting it close, Lieutenant. I know that's not all the energy you have in there!"
Meibatsu hummed in anticipation. Tao shook his head. "She'll do it. She has what it takes."

The girl growled, feeling that she was rapidly running out of time. She opened her eyes slowly, staring at her blade. "Listen, I don't want to die, or be injured in any way. Can we reach an agreement?" Silence. Haine muttered curses under her breath, before returning to her former state. She tried to imagine the Zanpakutou in her mind, and succeeded. Haine was surprised by what came next. The red light around her began getting larger and larger, and it began to press against the black sphere. She had successfully connected with her Zanpakutou, following in a signifigant rise in reiatsu. She might just have a chance.

Tao had just lit one of his cigars when he felt the pulse in riatzu. He glanced over at the sphere, feeling it tremble as Keibatsu's power began to buckle. "Hm. Guess the kid's finally getting through," he though with a grin. The grin suddenly faded, however when he felt the pressure skyrocket even more.
"Oh, crap," he thought. He knew that she could break free, but this was more than he assumed possible. At the rate she was going, she could break through the barrier he placed up arround the construction sight. "Crap, crap crap!" He swore, getting to his feet and focusing all on the barrier to prevent it from shattering, wrecking the entire block.
The sphere shattered from the riatsu, going off like a bomb in a mine shaffed. The explosion sent Tao flying several feet backwards as he momentarly lost the barrier before controling it again. He now stood outside the construction site, breathing heavily and staring up at Haine. He said nothing for a few moments, then began to laugh.
"Heh, heheheh! Man! I knew you had what it took to break out, Lieutenant, but I didn't expect so much! Great job!" He looked down and noticed his cigar had been crushed by the impact. He sighed, sagging his shoulders and pulled out another one. "Though you were cutting it very close."

Haine looked up at the captain, only now noticing that the sphere had been broken. "I..I did it?" She murmured in disbelief, staring wide-eyed at Tao. Her Scythe was still faintly glowing, the red beginning to slowly disappear. She was breathing in sharp, short breaths, trying to regain her calm composture. She still couldn't believe it. Honestly. She'd heard that no one could break the sphere unless it was countered with a strong enough amount of reiatsu, and hence, she was sure she wouldn't be able to do it. Haine gasped as the pain returned to her side, and she dropped to one knee. "Thank you....Ashiku-Taichou.." She said, a faint smile appearing on her face.

Tao stepped back into the barrier, lighting his cigar. He notice Haine was wincing from the damage Meibatsu did to her. It probably wasn't a good idea for them to continue with the fight.
"Lieutenant, why don't well just call it for the match. You've proven a lot to me today, but I'd think you need to get to the Squad 4 medics to patch that up." Not to mention, that blast would have been notice by someone around here. "You have my respect, Lieutenant. I only wish I had you under my wing. The 5th Squad Captain is a lucky one." He held out a hand to help her up. "What do you say? Ready to call it quits?"

Haine nodded, accepting his hand and lifting herself up. She held up her scythe in her hand, watching as it returned to it's sealed form. "I'm glad I've been able to earn your respect, Ashiku-Taichou." She smiled, bowing her head. "Thank you for your compliments." Obviously, she hadn't been ready to take on an opponent such as this one yet. "I must say, Ashiku-Taichou, that your fighting skills are extrodinary, as are the abilities of your Zanpakutou." She glanced to the blades, before returning to meet his gaze.

"Who these two?" He asked, glancing down at his Zanpakutos. "To tell you the truth, they can be annoying." He sighed, sealing them before returning them to his sheaths. "Some are confused by the fact they believe I have two Zanpakutos. That's not the case, actually." He took a puff from his cigar before continuing. "Meibatsu and Keibatzu are in face both the same Zanpakuto. You see, the two blades actually empower my Zanpakuto's contemplation...the way he reacts, to be precise. Keibatzu....the Judgement, acts on logic and reason, which is why his strikes only paralyze, not wound. Meibatzu, however, acts on feeling, using pain as a source to feed anger, which is why his blade grows sharper the more wounded I become. All I do to control this is finding the right balance of logic and feeling in battle."
He paused, looking down at the swords again. "Bankai...however is quite different from the others. And I hardly ever see a need to call upon it. It's better that way." He sighed, flipping down the cigar and smothering it. "We better go...seems the last bit has called attention to the living." He glanced out, noticing a strange white vehicle with sirens and lights. "Hey, I think I've read a report about that group....said to be some sort of paranormal exterminators. What were they called? Ghost....bombers? Anyway, let's head back to the Soul Society and have your wounds tended, Lieutenant." He drew Keibatzu again, opening the doorway to the Soul Society. "Best let them just piece together what happened for themselves."
