Keta nods, and rumbles, "I'd prefer a smaller team less people I have to keep alive, I assume that is why you asked me to be here right? To keep this team your setting up alive while they do whatever it is you need to get done?"

He looks back over at the Jawa for a moment before turning back to Ka'ra awaiting her reply.

Ka'ra shrugged, "One of the reasons. Everyone will have their own part to play, I'm sure you all will be helping each other out."

Keta stretches his musculature as he waits quietly for a few moments, patience however doesn't seem to be a strong suit of his, and he rumbles, "Is there anything you can tell me about our mission now?" his emerald eyes focussing on Ka'ra's.

Alarick looked around the mess hall and sighed "You're joking right?" he asked. Before the droid could answer he walked into the mess hall and looked around for a place to get a drink.

When Keta had begun speaking, Jett decided it just might be best to remain quiet. There was just something about this beast that put the Jawa on his toes, and made him extra cautious about what he said. Of course, Jett wasn't scared, he had seen Dewbacks and Bantha, and even rode Rontos and had a few scuffles with Tuskan Raiders, so surely this hairy beast that stood before Jett couldn't have scared him, right?

...Okay, maybe he was a little bit.

But, when Keta mentioned his mission being to 'keep them alive' like they were a burdon, Jett couldn't help but speak up, a bit of pride in his tone, like he was standing up to what he thought be insulting to his ego. "You no worry about Jett's survival. Jett good at keeping away from trouble. Other one, Rick - he might. Jett thinks Rick is frail. It's why he wears strange metals on his chest." Leaning foward in his chair as he said this, those two golden eyes still barely peeking over the table, he felt the need to stand up for himself. He didn't take those words as an insult from Keta, but he still had to say it. And along the way, mention his other team mate, failing to realize that Alarick's reason for that 'armor' wasn't for simply protection...

Walking further into the mess you see no indication of anything but simple drinks served from a dispenser.

Alarick sighed as he made his way back to the turbolift and waited for the doors to open "This is why I need to bring my own drinks." As soon as the doors opened he stepped in and made his way to level 19

Keta opens his mouth in what might be a smile but on him it looks far from as reassuring as it would on a human what with his sharp teeth, and then rumbles at Jett, "So the runt has spirit, good that might just keep you alive." you would swear there was a hint of what might be approval in the timbre of his rumble but it vanishes nearly as quickly as it appeared, "So what kind of skills do you have anyway?" still focussing completely on the small Jawa with his emerald green eyes.

"Runt?" Jett was quick to catch that little comment, turning his head to the side like he didn't really grasp that. "Jett is not the weakest of his kind, nor born with any dissabilities. How is Jett a runt?" Taking a much more... literal definition of what Keta said, Jett didn't really grasp the content, unless maybe he meant a nickname? "If you giving Jett nicknames, Rick made one already. Jett is Short-stuff, as Alarick is Rick. Yes?" Feeling a little proud of himself, despite how he was unknowingly insulting himself somewhat by stating that nickname like he was growing fond of it, Jett soon dismissed that as he got to the second question.

He was more than happy to state what his skills were. In fact, it seemed that in general the Jawa was quite an optimist despite his past, but there was nothing wrong with that, was there? Finally deciding to stand up in his chair, which only made him high enough to look like a human sitting, it could be seen that just below his eyes there was a blue and white colored scarf, tubes coming from beneath that anyone who had seen one could icentify the tubes as being a part of a vacuum mask. Either Jett had breathing issues, or was quite well prepared, and this was proven from all of the equipment he had along his harness, mostly tools for mechanics, and two impressive rifles, one sporting, and one for ion, but both set to kill if he had to. Clearly he wasn't your run of the mill Jawa. Grinning behind his hood, the two golden eyes glistening a little brighter, he listed off what he could for Keta, hoping Ka'ra was listening as well. "Jett knows the lands well. Most situations where survival and stealth is key, no one better than Jett. You need Jett somewhere in and out, unnoticed, Jett be done quicker than you say 'My blasters been stolen.'" He paused for a second, clearly giving a quick little chuckle behind his hood before continueing. "Jett also learn from the many ships he stowaway on how to pilot and guide many things, but Jett still learning advanced techniques. And Jett also good at 'dismantelling' or repairing droids very efficiently, and has a god shot, if you know what Jett means."

Keta smiles again clearly amused almost laughing and says, "Short Stuff it is. Interesting skill set, might just be enough. Any idea what this Rick is skilled at?"

'Might' be just enough? What was that supposed to mena exactly..? Though it was nearly impossible to read a jawa's emotions since all you could see were the glowing eyes, they seemed to be squinting just a bit, like he had someone of a stare after such a comment towards him. But, Jett was never the type to let things bother him for long, and so he just let it go for now as he would answer the next question to the best of his ability. "Jett not so sure, Jett meet Rick only briefly. But seeing how he spoke, Jett thinks Rick is what humans call a 'smooth talker.' ...If Jett's assumption of what that means is correct, that is." At the end of his sentance, he gave a nervous grin behind his hood, a little embarressed with admitting that, once again proving he wasn't too good with expressions, but at least this time he felt he was right. But then, feeling more certain with his next comment, Jett added with much more enthuisiasm, "Jett thinks Rick is a con-artist."

Keta doesn't seem in the least bit bothered about the fact his words might have offended the little Jawa, and he rumbles, "A con artist" rather dubiously, "Hopefully we'll be able to find a use for him."

He turns back to Ka'ra and growls out, "So any idea when we can expect to see the others?"

With a shrug Ka'ra sits up, planting her feet on the floor. "When Captain Prius, our employer, arrives then the briefing will begin. Anyone who shows up after wards will probably be sent on a different mission."

There was a brief pause once more from Jett, and suddenly, he begun to turn his head left and right, gazing around the room, mousy and withdrawn about it, but being sure to once again take in any details. Maybe he was just paranoid, or perhaps he just wished the other members were here, only hiding, but whatever the case, he couldn't help but continue to keep his eyes open.

"As Jett say before, Jett will be patient. Suggesting we all be, Jett beleives the more we have the better." Though he was a bit anxious for details, excited more than anything, the Jawa kept telling himself to wait. He was lightening up aready with Keta, and Rick seemed like a fun person, but two just wasn't enough, he really hoped the next person would be as interesting as the others.

Keta smiles his so very not reassuring smile and growls out, "I'll wait." and leans against the wall to make the waiting easier, he doesn't seem to be too pleased about having to wait though.
