"N-no, that's fine," Sandie responded to her final question, taking a moment to think back over all of the others.
"Jayde is fine. We met a nice lady and her dream the other day, and we have been going over there from time to time. Yes, she will probably come by later, but she says that I'm a 'big girl' and can go where I want to. And I have noticed that your door is always open...are you not afraid that someone will wander?" She thought about the kittens back at the treehouse and the scramble that would insue if one of them were to escape.

Kylin laughed warmly at this and shook her head. "The youngest one in this particular bunch is Sonstine, and she can take care of herself... trust me..." She smiled and flipped the pancake. "Would you like to stick around for breakfast?"

"Sonstine? I don't believe I've met her yet..." Sandie looked around for a moment, as if she would be able to tell one of these new dreams apart from all of the others. At the offer of breakfast, her ears perked up a little and she looked up hopefully.
"Pancakes?" she said wistfully. "I love pancakes." Conspiritally, she leaned and whispered to Kylin, "Jayde always burns them on one side, so I usually feed mine to Davexander. He likes things burned anyway."

Kylin smiled and laughed softly as she leaned back down to whisper. "Good news then... I don't burn my pancakes..." She winked and stood. "How many would you like?"
She flipped the pancake off the pan and into her hand and turned. "HEY GENA! HEADS UP!" Using the pancake like a frisbee, she tossed it across the room where a blur of fur flew across the room and snatched it in the air. Kylin then turned with a satisfied grin and readied to cook up Sandie's pancake next.

"Um...I don't catch very well, Miss Kylinari," she said softly, her eyes the size of the pancake that had just gone flying through the air.

Kylin snickered and patted Sandie softly upon the head. "Nono... I wouldn't make you fetch your food... You can sit at the table with Destin, Matrea and myself... And Jayde too, if she shows up before hand, but I'm afraid that'll leave us short one seat, but we'll make do!" She smiled softly. "Gena is a greedy eater and likes to eat where the others can't even see her food." She sighed softly and shook her head with a smile. "Sonstine is much the same way, but she tolerates company nearby and won't scold them until they actually attempt to touch her food." She paused a moment. "Wow... I have the weirdest dreams, sometimes..." Giving a shrug, she flipped it and looked back down to Sandie. "Are you sure you still want one?"

"I'd be more than happy to sit at the table with you, Destin, and Matrea," she replied, brightening up now that she knew she wasn't going to have to play fetch with her breakfast.
"I understand that Miss Gena might not want to eat at the table...Lyra sometimes eats on the roof of the house when he and Miss Jayde are arguing. It's hard though--there really isn't a lot of room up there since Dav likes to sit up there, too." A contemplative look crossed her face before she shrugged, generally accepting the weirdness that was her own household.

Kylin nodded and flipped the pancake onto a plate and walked with it over to the nearby table. "Here you go..." She smiled and nodded. "If you want another, just let me know... And how is Dav, anyway? Meli has been upset about their last meeting and felt bad for the way she acted... she mentioned something about wanting to start on a new slate, but she's shy about it... I think...."

Going to sit at the table, Sandie took a deep sniff of the pancake.
"It smells delicious," she said appreciatively before continuing.
"He seems to be doing just fine," she said around a mouthful, "although I wonder sometimes if he doesn't want the company of another Kyn. Perhaps one really can be lonely in a house full of people?"

Kylin smirked. "Then maybe we should hook them up!" She giggled at thought and shook her head , flipping the next pancake for Matrea.

The dream chewed thoughtfully for a moment at the concept of 'hooking' Dav up with anyone. He had always been something of the family pet, even though he was larger than the bottom floor of the treehouse. Again, she generally accepted the weirdness. But it probably would be nice for him to have someone to talk to. After all, it seemed that Sandie had a lot of other dreams that she could talk to that lived not far at all from where she and Jayde were.
"He-hello again, Matrea," Sandie greeted softly from around a mouthful of pancake.

Matrea nibbled at his pancake. He seemed to slow down only to eat! He smiled and only nodded before returning to his nibbling.
Kylin shrugged and set another plate at the table and sat down. "It's a thought, at least..."

Kylin giggled at Jayde's timing and shook her head as she took a bite. "Sandie and I were talking about possibly getting Meli and Dav back together... And yes, there's some batter left by the stove! Go make yourself one!" She smiled softly and winked at Sandie whenever Jayde wasn't looking.

At the thought of having to eat one of her own pancakes, Jayde's face fell a little.
"Eh, I love you Ky...?" she said hopefully, giving her long-time friend the most pitiful please-don't-make-me-eat-my-own-cooking look that she could manage.
"And yeah, I think it would be...interesting if we got Dav and Meli back together. Since the run in with the Kyn a little while ago, Dav's been a little withdrawn, and I don't think it would hurt for him to be able to talk to someone more like him"
