The common room door opened and Kain walked in. He ran his hands through his hair and patted Hana on the head. "Hello." He smiled charmingly.
Hana smiled back, "Hello. Oh, sit down!" She gestured to the couch across from her and the twins.
"Hmm? What is it?" He sat down on the couch and faced the three of them, quickly glancing at each twins, before settling his view on Hana.
"Liem, Sean. Tell 'im." She was absolutly giddy.

The portrait that the chamber lied beyond opened, and with a quill in his hand, Thade strolled into the common room and looked towrads the window. He ignored the others, plopped down into an armchair and opened an advanced book, glancing up every moment or so because of the noise that the others made echo in his head.
As her feet dragged her down the spiral stairs, Hydra followed. Then she spyed Thade nestled in the green chair and he noticed her noticing him. She looked away quickly, then looked back, to see if he was still watching. He was.
And she was probably just being coy. He returned to his book without a second thought to the girl, but it was difficult to think at all really, with all of the noise from the other inhabitants of the common room. He glanced at a girl who's name he did not know. She was quite an interesting woman. And her smile was almost seductive in the most innocent way. He couldn't help but notice.

Kain looked at Hydra and Thade from the corner of his eye, but ignored them.
Hana patted Liems leg and nudged him. She felt eyes on her and looked up. She saw a boy looking at her, and she smiled. "Hi!" she said in an unusually cheery voice.

Surprised that she had acknowledged him, he wasn't sure what to say except the least interesting word in the human and non-human vocabulary. "Hi," he said. She seemed a lot warmer than she looked. "I'm sorry, I don't believe I know you. Not to be rude or anything, of course. Just that I pretty much know everyone here...just not you." Wow, he sounded like a jackass, even to himself.
Hydra, aware that Thade's attention had been taken by another, went to join Kain. "Hey, what are you up to, huh?"

Hana cocked her head to the side and smiled. "I'm Hana. Now you know me." she giggled and looked at Liem. "I haven't seen you either. Are you a transfer?"
Kain glanced at Hydra and gave a brilliant smile. "Hello dear. I'm just chatting. And who might you be, sweetheart?"

"Um, sort of. I went here my first and second year and then went off for individual study for three years. I'm back now though, for this one last year. And then...the dice get rolled. Future's a toss-up." He let it sink in a little bit that she wanted to talk to him. He had seen girls looking at him all through his break near Diagon Alley, but hadn't realized that maybe, just maybe, he had become the slightest bit attractive within the last few years. He shrugged off the thought, and instead focused on Hana's eyes, deep as the night sky.
"Wolfe. Hydra Wolfe. I've seen you around, just never really talked to you. You're...Kain, right?" She was positive his name was Kain but she didn't want to sound like she knew much about him.

"Oh wow, that's interesting. What did you do during your private studies? Is it good to be back." She smiled a little and winked.
Kain cocked his head and smiled. "It's a pleasure Ms. Hydra Wolfe," he took her hand and kissed it, looking at Hana from the corner of his eye.
Hana glanced at him, and continued to look at Thade. "So, I don't believe I got your name. I'm Hana."
"Yes, I'm Kain. Kain Valentine."

"Yeah, um, you just said that," he said, flashing her a grin. "But it's nice to hear it again. I'm Thade." She smelled like something sweet he could not place. "Oh, individual studies...you're familiar with the dragons in Romania, right? My family got me a job there, away from...yeah. But I had to go to a local wizarding academy there. And it is good to be back, I'm to just waiting for when it's going to be great." He thought for a moment. "This is sure as hell a nice start though."
She didn't blush or withdraw her hand, she just touched it lightly after it fell out of his, a movement that surely was so non-existent that there was no danger of him noticing. She did not smile. "Well nice to finally meet you. Officially. So what year are you in?"

"Oh, did I?" she laughed slightly. "Dragons? That's impressive. Was it fun? Oh, thats so exciting." She smirked slightly.
Kain smiled and sat back up, looking back at Hana, Liem, and Sean. His eyes creased in curiosity. "Yes, it's quite nice to meet you. I'm a 7th year. Almost out of here. And yourself?"

"It was a little more than I bargained for, but completely worth it. Some things just are." His eyes fell down towards the curve of her neck. Damn...it had been a long time. Quit it, he thought, don't you have any decency?! This was not fair. "Well what about your summer," he asked, dying to take the focus off of him. He knew that if you asked a girl a question, she could really talk. "What year are you anyway? And...what have you been up to this entire time?"
"Sixth, so not quite yet at the point you are, but close. Still another year. You eager to get out of here?" She noticed his strain, but ignored it. If he had a problem, he could put an end to it.

Hana noticed the drift in his eyes. "That sounds so interesting! You've got to tell me about it!" she gave him a toothy grin. "Oh my summer is fine. My father says he wants me to stop going here, and find a nice suitable man. Would you happen to know where I can find one?" she giggled. "I'm 5th year, it's really great. I've missed this place." she stretched a tad and put her arms over her head. "I haven't been doing much since I got here. Just been talking to my bestest buddies!" she giggled again and patted Liem and Seans leg.
"Oh, I'm really ready to get out of here. I've been ready for quite some time. There are other things I could be besides stay in school. I was actually thinking of not coming back this year, but my father made me. He told me that if I was going to inherit his money, then I had to finish school." he sighed and looked at her again "What about you? You ready to leave?"

Girls had played this game with him before and he had played along, only to get exactly where he wanted, getting exactly what he wanted. But he was not about to do that with Hana, even if her breasts would fit perfectly in his hands, which he was sure that they would. Instead he smiled, "I'm an only child. But hey, the best relationships sometimes blossom from friendships. None of your male companions suits you? That's shocking," he said mockingly.
"I'm ready to jump off a bridge if this year is anything like the last. Wait...go back. You're doing this to get your dad's money? Ha!" She laughed a little bit, almost with spite. "Are you vain or do you just care so little about education?" She wanted to see how far she could push him, how hard she could punch before he cowered away.

Hana smiled brightly. "Oh, do you have a nice family life?" She looked around the room at her friends, and noticed Kains smile. "They might, I've never really tried for them. These two are like brothers." she pointed at Liem and Sean. "What about you? You seem like you'd be popular with the girls, or did they keep you in a chastity belt at your dragon house?"
Kain laughed, "No no. I hardly get a break in my education. My father hires the best tutors for me when I get home from the school year. I don't have much of a break when it comes to education." he nodded.

"Family. Hmm." He stretched a little bit with his arms and let them flop down to his sides. "They're not really the family type. They're just sort of...there. But hey, it works out for me," he said brightly, hiding all emotions that were worth something. "And in Romania, ughh! No girls at all, nothing. Zip. Kapoot. Not allowed any contact at all. For a few years. I definitely was not 'popular' with any girls. Only guys that wanted to be girls. So I take it you're not in a relationship right now?" Wow, he was being dumb. Of course she wasn't, or else she'd have said that by now! Wait...would she?
"Well aren't you spoiled," she said, with a hint of sarcasm. It wasn't an insult, per se, just her way of stalling. "I guess they have big plans for you then." Hey eyes fluttered shut for a moment, as if she did not care to hear his answer. But she opened them, ready for a response.

"Well, your family seems better than mine." she nodded and looked at his hand. "How long were you there for again? It must be frustrating for a male. I don't see why you should be popular with the girls. You're quite a charming fellow." she laughed. "No, I'm not. I'm assuming that you're not either, unless you hooked up with one of those 'guys that wanted to be girls."
Kain looked down at his hands. "Yes, I'm a bit spoiled." he smiled again. "My father has large plans for me, yes. He wants me to work in the Ministry, with him. I, however, have other plans for myself." he said that last part mostly to himself. "What are you planning to do once you get out of school?"
