Dani, who had also turned at the strange woman's approach, scooted away from the others and sent a mind call to Daz. She wasn't going anywhere without him knowing about it first. Things seemed to have taken a strange turn and she no longer felt at ease with it.
"I have to wait for Daz..I..he'll worry if I just take off again." she said, her voice holding a nervous note.

Frowning, she shook her head and looked at the man for help.
"He said he would tell your friend where you were....it's not safe to stay outside any longer." she told her softly, not wanting anything bad to happen to Dani.
"Are you sure you won't come?"

Lucid turned to Dani, his gaze intent upon her.
"I have already said I will retrieve your friend. But if you would feel more comfortable doing so yourself, then by all means." he said, not meaning to be harsh but knowing he sounded it anyway. He was tired and dawn was already breaking. He had to get indoors and underground fast. He turned to the stranger and sighed. If you wish for rest for the day, then by all means stay. Lyra can show you in. I'm afraid I must leave you though." he said as nicely as he could. Lastly he turned to Lyra, moving to where she stood. "Behave and try to stay indoors." With this he vanished.

((Crew Note: Alright...Dani asked me to god mod for her this once, and have her come to the castle with me because she is otherwise occupied with Daz and housework. No one is allowed to yell at me.))

Lyra simply sighed and frustrated with all of the happenings, she decided to take matters into her own hands for once. Walking over to Dani she reached out and grabbed her hand firmly in her own, then turned and proceeded to literally drag Danielle into the castle with her. Turning her head she looked over her shoulder at the other strange woman.
"Come on, hurry up and follow along if you are coming." she called and proceeded to drag the protesting blond.

Gemara chuckled at the look on the blonde's face as she was hauled off. Hurrying through the grass in order to catch up, she called out. "Do you need an extra hand.?" Hearing no answer, she followed the two women toward the castle

Lyra frowned as she moved slowly along the dark corridor. There were no torch's that flickered along the walls here to light her path, no. Here as you followed the stairs in a ever descending downward spiral, there was no light. Not even a flicker of it. Though she was petrified of the dark, Lyra was determined to thank her rescuer and perhaps find out his name. She was not tired, then again she rarely was. A few hours of sleep was all she really needed. The bright rays of dawn had penetrated the rest of the castle and for some reason it had drove the owner of the castle beneath it. Shaking her head, she continued to move slowly down the stairs, feeling her way along the wall, since there was no railing and the darkness was so thick you couldn't even see your own hand right in front of your face. Shivering, for where it got darker the further down she went it also got colder. It took every single nerve she possessed to force herself to continue downward. She despised the dark yes, but she hated the cold with an equal passion. The two things that scared her the most and the one person she felt safe around had to go down into them...figures. It wasn't so much that she was frightened, though she was and his presence seemed to help with that, it was that there were other women in the house and she wasn't sure how to talk to then or what to say. It had taken her a couple of hours just to find them rooms and get them to separate themselves from her. Though she shouldn't have been to stunned at how long it had taken, seeing as how Dani, as sweet as she was, had to be dragged every freaking step of the way. Even though she had been assured that her companion would be allowed entrance to the castle when he arrived. That scared her as well, another male was going to be here. Though she found it odd that she had come to rely on a strange man so quickly...he was all she had...the only hope she had. It sounded pitiful when you put it like that but it was the truth. The really sad part was that she was terrified of relying on him too heavily, and equally terrified of his facade dropping and turning on her...I'm not the least bit screwed up...nope, not me, she thought quietly to herself. She froze when something echoed throughout the darkness and swallowed a scream. Drawing a deep breath she listened for a long moment, before forcing herself to move forward again...she could do this, I'm not a coward after all, she thought to herself, then once again swallowed a scream as she felt something crawl over her hand in the dark. Right...who am I fooling, cause it's sure as hell not me, she thought ruefully, once again forcing her body to take another step forward.

The blood had paused in his vein. His heart had also ceased any movement. It had only been about twenty minutes since he'd set himself to sleep. Yet something made his heart pump again. Some sound made his mind kick everything into gear once more. He needed the rest, the death like sleep that he knew would make the day go by faster and yet, some stirring in the dark had wok him. He tried to force himself back to sleep. Tried very hard indeed. His body did not cooperate now. It refused to listen to what he wanted. He settled for the sleep of humans, moving from his regular resting place, silently over to his bed. Humans rumored that Vampires slept in coffins. This was true for him. He slept in a silk lined stone sarcophagus. He did, however, also possess a very nice ancient bed. Four posted, canopied and all.The thin black drapes that hung around the bed swayed as he moved them. The bed made no sound as he layed upon it. Good beds never did. He had mastered the art of noiselessness, though. He had to, to be able to hunt the typed of beings that he did. Any vampire worth his salt can sense or hear for miles around it. He'd had to learn how to be undetectable. He was also very damn good at it.
He lay there, closing his eyes. He knew she was there, in the darkness. He'd jinxed the candles to light, should anyone try to approach his bed. Most of the time that was a distraction for hunters, should they penetrate this deep in his home. On this day, though, it would be a help. He rested there, in the bed, still dressed as he had been before, minus the cape and boots.
It was there, in the dark, that he awaited her.

Fear was the foremost thing in Lyra's mind at the moment, the stairs seemed to go on forever, and she wondered how deep underground she was already. Sighing she closed her eyes for a moment, but that did not help to calm her, it only made her other senses even sharper and more small sounds were picked up and frightened her even more. She knew why the stairs were taking her so long, it was because she was slowly feeling her way down them one at a time. She didn't understand how anyone could see well enough to go down them quickly in the pitch black. She thought briefly about turning around and going back up but she quickly dismissed that notion, after all who knew how far down she had come and she might not be all that far away from the bottom. Continuing forward she was relieved when she finally failed to feel another step down in front of her. Carefully moving forward she simply frowned and suppressed a groan of frustration when she came to a junction in the pathway. It split into two directions, left...and of course right. Great, now which way do I go, she wondered, then shook her head at her own thoughts. I suppose it doesn't really matter, I still can't see s**t and no matter which direction I choose I shall probably get lost in the maze that is this castle and not be able to find my way back regardless. Taking a chance, she chose left and using her hand to feel along the wall instead of relying along her sight. A frown of puzzlement slipped over her features when the small path opened up into a larger room. Moving forward into the open a little bit, she gasped when a few candles flared to life on their own around her, casting a soft glow over the floor of the...room? On the far side of the wall, Lyra thought stood a bed, with black drapes, she supposed hanging from it. Wondering if perhaps this was where her rescuer had gone to she swallowed and gathering her courage moved further into the room, struggling not to let the candles that flickered to life as she drew closer to the bed scare her.

His eyes opened as the candles came to life. He wondered if she would be brave enough to step up onto the platform that lead to the bed. This thought was brief though, as her scent washed over him. He inhaled it deeply, as if to memorize it.
"I wondered what was nosing about in my chamber." he said. His voice had been whisper soft. He slipped from the bed then, in one fluid motion. Lifting a hand, he parted the black lace-like material of the drapes and stepped through. The candles flickered, casting shadows on the walls that danced to and fro like the grasses of the plains. He studied her closely, the rise and fall of her chest. Her heartbeat was slightly faster than normal as well. "Does the darkness frighten you, Lyra?" he asked. He hadn't though that she would find her way to him down here, hundreds of feet beneath the castle. It also had not occurred to him that she might be afraid of the dark. He lifted his hand again and the fireplace came to life, flames roaring upward in it. Light filled almost every space in the room, pushing away the darkness. When he lowered his hand again, he looked back at her. "I assume you braved your way to me for a reason?" he asked, moving to sit in the large armchair by the fire.

Lyra had fumbled only slightly at the sound of his voice. That voice, she shivered, and found she didn't want to know in how many ways he could use it. His voice seemed to force it's way into your mind, envelop every inch of it like a warm blanket and linger there. She gazed at the fire that he somehow brought to life with a mixture of awe and surprise, honestly the man never ceased to amaze her with the variety of things he could do.
"Yes...I happen to be very frightened of the dark." she answered softly and watched his movement across the room. She hesitated a long moment before following him, moving closer to the fire to ward off the chill of being so far below ground.
"I wanted to thank you for protecting me earlier...and allowing Dani to stay." she didn't tell him that all the strangers frightened her, she didn't want him to think her selfish or ungrateful, besides he already knew her biggest fear...he didn't need to know them all.
"I was also hoping to find out your name...I know you told me once, but I can;t recall what it was." she whispered. She wasn't sure why she felt the need to be quiet but she did, and she had enough things on her mind that she didn't question it.

Lucid studied her again, drinking in her features, committing them to memory.
"Lucid." he said quietly. "My name is Lucid." He thought to tell her that the rest of his kind knew him as Nemesis and that very few people could call him by his given name and live to tell about it. But he figured that might scare her. He didn't want that. The last thing he needed was her running off during the daytime when he couldn't help her if she got into trouble. He leaned back in the chair, his gaze sweeping over her face. "Thank yous are not required when you are a quest in my home. I told you before that as long as you were here you were under my protection. I do not say things that I don't intend to stay true to."

Dani gazed at Daz as he strode up the stairs, the body of another man in tow. She'd never seen him being so kind to another person before. The look on his face was one of concern. She moved to go down the stairs, intending to meet them halfway. A sound made her stop. She looked at Daz and he was shaking his head.
"Stay there. We need to get him to a bed to heal him." he told her. There was something in his voice, something she couldn't identify. She did as he said though, leading him to her room. She watched as he lowered the body onto the bed, then knelt beside it on the floor to recover. Without a word, she moved to the bed and sat beside the body, her hands resting upon the man's chest. His wounds were rather severe, being close to his heart.
Closing her eyes, she pooled her energy together, a white light forming around her hands. This light spread to the man, the healing magic of the Terran knitting his wounds together from the inside out.

Daz watched her work, his eyes tired. He'd never have been able to make it to the castle if it had been even one hundred feet further. He was exhausted. Laying down on the floor beside the bed, he closed his eyes, giving into the sleep that he so needed.

"Lucid...it suits you in a way...and I remember what you said, but that doesn't mean I can't be appreciative." she broke off and her eyes went wide with horror when she realized that she had just smarted off to him. Not a good idea, getting an attitude would get her backhanded across the room and she knew it. Taking a step back, she looked down at the ground.
"My apologies...I did not mean to sound rude...I was only..." her voice broke ad she forced herself back under control. The last thing Lucid probably wanted to deal with tonight was her crying. Drawing a deep breath she closed her eyes for a moment, to collect her thoughts. Lucid was not the other men in her life...he had protected her when no one else had, he had also cared for her and had yet to raise a hand to her...maybe that's why I'm so sure he will. All of this is too good to be true, she thought quietly to herself, I guess I'm still waiting for the fantasy to disappear and the facade drop. Opening her eyes she met his gaze with her own.
"I found the two women rooms...they seemed to be empty but I had no way of knowing for sure. I hope that's alright." she whispered, her voice was still a little thick from unshed tears, but she was proud of herself, she thought she sounded pretty close to normal.

Luxord's pain began to return 10 fold and his eyes ripped open and his fangs grew. Turning the color of blood and dripping as his pain became excrutiating. It ripped the core of his mind, severing whatever attachment he had to his body and making him scream. Soon the healing process began to calm him down as the cuts, slashes, and gashes began to disappear. He then relaxed and began to see the strange people around him. Then he grabbed for his sword and found it to be missing. He became infuriated and screamed once agian, "WHERE IS MY SWORD?!"

Lucid continued to watch her, enjoying the spread of expression that passed over her otherwise pretty face. It was easy to tell that she'd been abused. It disgusted him that a man could raise his hand to a woman, even in self defense. It was a given that most males were stronger than most women. In Lucid's mind, the only reason for a man to hurt a female was in fear of his own life. And that meant that the woman had better have already tried to behead you. Lucid didn't raise his hands in any ill manner to those of the opposite sex.
"I am not going to hurt you, Lyra. You have nothing to fear from me." he said quietly, shifting his gaze away from her to the fire. "I suppose your thanks are welcomed. I owe you thanks for taking care of our other guests."
