As was expected, Itachi's chakra spluttered as he attempted the first seals.
"Damn it," he curse inwardly and concentrated harder. It really didn't help that Naruto was still asleep (could the teen sleep for Konoha? Probably).
Itachi knew that the group of Shinobi would be gaining on them soon and took a deep breath in an effort to calm himself.
"Here goes nothing," he muttewred before whipping through handseals, wincing at the slight pain the effort caused him; he was no chump when it came to speed.
Gathering chakra arouns his body, Itachi gathered thew Uzumaki into his hands and felt the transportation jutsu working. It was now a race of time; if Konoha blockaded the area in time then they wouldn't stand a chance of getting out, or at least Itachi wouldn't.

Yamato frowned at his utterly stupid mistake. His mind had been too busy making sure the team weren't arguing like normal that he had been surrounding the wrong area. He was pissed.
Sai had finally managed to get Sakura from clinging to im and he was currently nursing said arm which looked a indecent shade of red.
meanwhile Neji was fast looking for the Chakra signature that was once Naruto... it had seemingly disappeared.

Itachi rolled to the side as he landed so as to avoid crushing his 'passenger'. He knew they hadn't gone far, in fact, if the Konoha group continued their hunt there was a high chance they would be revealed; pasenger transports always took a lot out of him and even more so with the stupid amount of chakra he had lost.
All for one blond's sake...
Not that Itachi minded, he found the companionship desireable and actually enjoyable, more than he could say for Kisame's company.
That was a car crash waiting to happen.
Itachi lay back on the grass and rubbed at his eyes in an attempt to remove the crusting blood. He would wait for Naruto to wake before doing anything; he had once spent almost five days on a mission awake, a few hours shouldn't be too bad... he hoped.

Naruto shifted in his sleep, turning slightly his head lightly banged the floor and he awoke with an abrupt, "Ouch!" which was soon followed by him sitting up.
Looking next to him he noticed Itachi and for some strange reason it didn't phase it, what did make some impact on his emotions were the new unfamiliar surroundings... had he really been kidnapped?
"Where are we?" He asked bluntly.
Meanwhile, Team Konoha for lack of a better name had finally given up on Naruto they needed to report to Tsunade what had happened a get a full search party started before anything else could happen.
Meanwhile once more, Sasuke was plotting.

Itachi's head snapped up at the sound of Naruto's voice and his eyes fluttered in almost exhaustion.
"I had to use an emergency transportation Jutsu... I would have gone alone but I needed to ask you if you would remain silent about this."
The Uchiha could feel questioning eyes bore into his head and fought against dropping down on the floor and curling up like some young animal as well as looking at the blond.

He looked at Itachi with a thoughtful look before shaking his head,
"No i wouldn't keep quiet, there's new laws in Konoha now, any nin that's been through what they would consider this as - a kidnapping has to go through some special interview with specially trained nin... the bastards get every bit of information they can," Naruto spoke with a hint of hatred toward Konoha's newest method of interrogation.
Frowning slightly he then asked,
"So what do we do now?"

Itachi was surprised at the venom in the Uzumaki's voice and gave a slight smile.
"The first thing we should do is find somewhere to stay... somehow I don't think the Akatsuki would take your arrival there in the way we want in."
Itachi stopped talking there, before he said 'and I don't want you dead, regardless of how it seems.' That would be a very big mistake.
"I know somewhere near here... only Kisame knows of it and he is smart enough to leave me alone when I go there. If we start moving now then we could probably get there within three hours."
Itachi rose fluidly, or at least tried to. Due to the stress his body had been put under it crumpled back to the floor and Itachi sighed; apparently they wouldn't be going anywhere. He looked at Naruto before speaking
"Could you help... please?"

Naruto nodded as he listened to Itachi, somehow he really did trust Itachi, something inside him told him too. After a moment Itachi stood and crumbled and asked for Naruto's help.
Said blond stood there blankly for all of two seconds because he burst into a quiet giggle. Uchiha Itachi asking for help, maybe they had teleported into a new dimension where people's heads were messed with.
He noticed Itachi's frown and so holding himself properly he pulled Itachi up and using each other to balance, Naruto waited for Itachi to lead the way. Maybe they'd...well he'd be able to go into a shop if one was nearby, it was evident that both needed food and medicine.

Itachi leant into Naruto and stopped himself before he let out a sigh of content. There was something great about having Naruto's arms around him, even if he would never admit this.
Pein had once warned them that their targets were that; they were not to express any sympathy upon them nor communicate with them, if it could be helped. The Jinchuuriki were little than dirt under foot for Pen and Itachi hated the man even more than that.
"Thank you, Naruto-kun." Itachi's was weak but he didn't care; if Naruto hadn't hurt him yet - he'd had plenty of oppurtunity to - then he was unlikely to hurt him now.

After what seemed like hours of walking, Naruto spotted something traveling alongside a gravelly road. He didn't care as to why they went on the grass (most likely had valuable items), but in his shock he jumped up accidentally throwing Itachi to the floor before running over to the moving vehicle to ask for food.
Moments later he looked at Itachi with an eyebrow raised at the others position on the floor, while holding, yup you guessed it, several loads of cup ramen in his hands,
"Itachi San, Munch time!" He cheered happily, feeling energetic at the prospect of having food.

Itachi had little time before he was suddenly thrown to the floor and he only just managed to roll slightly to avoid bruising. He looked up in confusion to see Naruto (or the blur he assumed was Naruto) by the travellers cart and he half propped himself up on his elbows.
Naruto returned with a face that looked as if the cat got the cream and Itachi's eyes drifted down to what he was holding.
"How exactly can we eat them when there is no hot water?"
Naruto paused in his speech and Itachi sighed.
"Do you have any water on you? If you lend me some chakra," Itachi knew that the sleep Naruto had restored a lot of chakra, "I'll heat it up."

Naruto turned bright crimson at Itachi's words, Oh yeah ... water. In an attempt to cover up his mistake he tried to convincingly say,
"I smelled water...i thought a river would be near, but i can't smell it anymore... um how do i give you Chakra?" Naruto stared at the sky in embarrassment,
looking down he noticed the face Itachi was making and he turned around. He didn't like people looking at him during one of his 'moments'

Itachi stared in disbelief; was this really the kid who escaped death about one thousand and one times?
"Maybe the Yondaime dropped him on his head when he took him to the Sealing room," he muttered quietly.
Itachi sighed and pushed his body upwards a little so he could stand. He leant against the tree that was conveniently near and spoke,
"You would need to just hold my hand and gather chakra to it. I can do the rest. I guess if you were feeling generous enough I could get water too."
Itachi winced at the excitement in Naruto eyes and realised how ramen obsessed the teen really was.

Naruto scowled before narrowly avoiding a tree he should have noticed had it not been for Itachi's 'amusing' words. Humming slightly he gripped Itachi's hand and began to gather Chakra,
"I'm hungry now!"

Itachi rolled his eyes,
"You really have a one-track mind don't you. Right, hold on then," Itachi hand tingled as Naruto's chakra touched the skin and he bit the inside of his cheek to remain coherent. The warmth that the chakra gave off felt better than and relaxation method know to shinobi.
"It may tingle," was the only warning Itachi gave before he drew in Naruto's chakra. He felt the hand jerk in his own and the grip tightened.
It took a few more minutes of tingling before Itachi reasoned he had enough. He felt even more tired now; it took energ to covert Naruto's chakra into his system and he was practically running on empty.
Itachi dug a kunai into the earth and formed a large hole. His hands met and he slowly merged through a series of handseals.
"Suiton: Ritoru Ogawa no Jutsu."
True to the jutsu name, a small stream of water formed from thin air and Itachi directed the water to flow into the hole. Surprisingly the water stayed clear and Itachi dusted his hands, preparing for the second jutsu.
